 Ticktock addressed Tyra saying "Tyra I agree with you the group could still benefit from radiant he is the best strategist we have so he will prove to be an advantage. Yes and I would also like to thank you for helping me see that pretending to have a big ego will get me friends when all along it was just the way I act. So thank you ever so much.

Radiant looked at Tyra and over at Ticktock returning his gaze to the ground. He had a smirk appear on his face for only a second. "As much as I appreciate the sentiment, I can't even muster the energy to run. So out in the field I'd fall behind too easily and I refuse to be a burden." He said as the trained stopped at the station. 

 

Once the doors opened Radiant slowly walked aboard taking the first seat he found. He looked around noticing that there was no other pony on the train except the conductors.

Icarus hated to see Radiant go. As he watched him walk onto the train, he simply watched. He understood were he was cming from, but none the less it was sad to see such a good pony departing. We saw Radiant simply sit down on the train. Watching through the windows, Icarus could only guess at what he was thinking now. But they had a job to do, and if Radian thought his part was done, then so be it.

Ticktock followed Radiant onto the train he then said "You are not a burden you are the best of the best now if I lost my magic I would have nothing where as you still have your supreme military knowledge that is knowledge  I would give my horn for and I love my horn.

Tyra felt a twinge from Radiant's decline of her offer, but she nodded, respecting it.

 

"If that is your decision," she managed a grin as he and Ticktock boarded the train, "I wish you both safe travels. And you are most welcome, my new friend."

 

Icarus didn't budge from the bench, which would mean he wanted to stay, so Blizzard and Caliber were left.

 

Blizzard's ego could get a bit much sometimes, and Caliber had quite a bad attitude, but she knew they were both powerful in their own right. Having them here would be a great help, but she knew she could still manage with only herself and Icarus.

Blizzard was reluctant but got on the train and took a window seat, "*sigh* I'm gonna miss this place, the snow, the ice, the cold, the amount of bad guy face to pound in! Haha, But I swear to Celestia that that mare will pay! That mare will pay dammit! I hope that we get to pound her face in sooo hard!" *punches hoof*

Tyra perked up and noticed Icarus struggling to get off the bench, in his weakened state. It seemed he wanted to go as well.

 

Before she let out a sigh, she recalled how he said he had little medical supplies left. Maybe he needs to go to get more?

Perhaps a train ride would not be so bad?

 

She trotted over and assisted the unicorn into the train, helping him sit down before she took a window seat by herself.

She looked up toward the direction of the outpost, smirking with determination.

 

"I will be back soon," she promised, quietly to herself, "I promise I will return."

Blizzard broke the ice, get it? "Hey anypony want another ice sculpture of themselves? You can take them as a reminder of our adventure! *waves hooves in the air* Alright who wants one? I'm ready give me any sculpture request and I'll do my best!" Blizzard wanted to see his friends smile one last time before leaving.

Radiant laid his head on the table in front of him still rather depressed, his whole life all he's ever known is protecting others and now there's a chance he won't be able to anymore. Living the rest of your days in such a state is no way to live especially when you can't do what you're best at.

 

He pulled out his ice sculpture of himself that Blizzard made him and set it on the table in front of him. He stared at it remembering back through his days as a guard, as a soldier.

caliber was going for the sole reason to do research. he wanted to know if that mare was anywhere in the books. also, if this whole organization is a myth. he hoped to learn more at the canterlot library. "that mare will die by a thousand cuts." he muttered darkly as he got on the train. he saw the others. "sup." he said, as he walked past them, and sat down, still thinking. trying to piece together who that mare is.

Icarus followed the group and took a seat. He remained quiet as he collected his thoughts and watched out the widow. This had been one of two things. either the worst decision he ever made, or the best. Whichever one it was, he would soon find out, and he hoped he lived through it.

As the group took their seats and began to make themselves comfortable, the train suddenly lurched forward as it begun rolling down the tracks. Slowly picking up speed the train was making its way toward their destination toward the south. 

 

Out through the windows a flurry of snow could be seen being tossed up from the front of the train as it shoved its way over the blanketed tracks.

Tyra kept glancing out the window, nudging as the train lurched forward and moved forward. The snow blowing past the windows reminded her a lot of home.

 

She glanced over to the others. "We should resupply and return to the outpost, as soon as possible. As long as that mare is alive, those ponies are in danger. They need us."

 

She glanced to Radiant, and gave him a smirk. "All of us."

Ticktock sat on his own bye a window and just stared out thinking out how things were and how thing could have been but to him it still made no sense if they were being disbanded why was he assigned there it seemed like for every answer there were more questions it was then that Ticktock felt more friendless then ever before

Blizzard heard Tyra, "I second that, there's no way we should permanently leave this place. But I was honestly wondering If there's anywhere else we could've gone after this and fight some more, but I guess that's not meant to be. Oh well, this was fun wasn't it guys?" *takes out magazine and begins to read it*

Radiant continued with lying his head on the table looking at his miniature sculpture of himself, unaware that Tyra passed a smirk in his direction. His stoic personality was being replaced by sorrow the more he thought back on his life and how he wouldn't be able to be a guard anymore.

 

"what does a guard do when he can longer fight? Probably just scrub the barracks I guess, about the only thing I'd be able to do in this condition." He mumbled to himself, the whole area around him seemed rather depressing at this point. "I guess I could be a door stop." He scoffed at his own joke and quickly fell back to his depression.

It didn't take a genius to tell Radiant was incredibly upset about his situation. No magic meant he couldn't use his swords.

Tyra, tired of seeing the once-proud royal guard look so down, hopped onto the seat in front of him and looked over the backrest to see him.

 

"My friend, you need to pull yourself together," she said sternly, scowling at him, "A warrior with a broken sword is still a warrior! You broke one of your hilts before, but you were not fazed in the slightest!"

 

She beat a hoof on her chest. "A hero is not determined by how strong he is, or how magical he is! It is about how he puts his heart in the right place, sacrificing himself for the ponies around him! You made the biggest sacrifice of all of us, so that means you are the biggest hero of all of us!"

Her scowl turned into a smirk. "I am sure a royal guard to the princesses of an entire kingdom would not give up so easily!"

 

Doom and gloom haunted the rest of the party, so she turned her attention to them as well.

"We are all together here, so we are still a group! A team! It is by our own combined efforts that we have done all that we did the last weeks! Just because a mysterious stallion told us to leave, does not mean our alliance must be severed!"

Radiant glanced up at Tyra who was addressing him, she tried giving a speech to cheer everyone up which wasn't really working for Radiant. He let out a sigh "True, with a broken sword a warrior is still a warrior. I don't think you understand Tyra, a unicorn losing his magic is essentially like you losing your lower jaw and two of your legs. You can try to fight, but you won't make a lot of progress in the attempt." He said returning his gaze at his sculpture. "Granted I let this happen willingly because she threatened all of you and the injured, would I do it again... yes."

Blizzard put down his magazine in awe, "Wow, *sniffs wipes away frozen tears* that was beautiful axe girl! I don't think I could've said anything better." Blizzard's face:   He then slams his hooves on the table "Dammit Raid do you not understand?! You're still awesome! No matter what! Princess Celestia would hate to see you treating yourself like this! Where's the Raid that kept us going during the thick and thin, the Raid that told us to stop goofing off and get serious, where's the Raid that got us outta that dungeon?! *points to Radiant's heart* he's in there, somewhere, I know it man you just gotta find yourself! Find yourself, pull yourself together, and be the same Radiant that Celestia hired on your first day. Got it?!" *he goes back to his seat with magazine*

" I will try my best to keep you all together physically. While I may be falling apart myself, it wont stop me. " Icarus said, in response. He looked out the window for a little while befrore turning back to them. " You know, I think you are the first group of people I have ever been able to think of as friends outside of stalliongrad....take of that what you will" Icarus said awkwardly.

Radiant was being pestered left and right about his attitude, he felt bad being a downer for everypony but it was just so hard to fight off the sorrow when there's a chance you can never return to protecting others. He lifted his head off the table looking around at everypony. As he was scanning the car a piece of red fabric caught his eye hanging out of his saddlebag. 

 

As he noticed his scarf he thought back to his brother "If my brother were to see me right now, he'd hate me. He always looked up to me and yet if he were to see me like this he'd lose faith in me, he would start to feel that I wouldn't be there for him." Radiant pulled the scarf out of his bag and wrapped it around his neck. Once he had the scarf on his smiled slightly and returned his gaze forward.

 

"Alright, I'm sorry everypony for being such a downer, just hard to over come the thought you may not be able to protect others anymore." He apologized looking around at everypony. "I will try to be more myself and you're right about Celestia Blizzard. What would be really terrifying is if my mentor saw me like this." Radiant thought back on the last time he upset his mentor and he had visible shivers run up his spine.

Tyra smiled over at Icarus, appreciating his input.

"I can certainly say the same." She said over to him.

 

She glanced down to Radius, who seemed to perk up a bit upon catching a glimpse of red from his bag.

His brother's scarf. He'd told her about it a while ago.

 

"You can protect others, my friend," she said to him, smiling warmly, "a royal guard is not made from magic, but from heart. And as I said before, you are an excellent planner."

Blizzard went silly happy again, "There ya go! That's the Radiant we know! And we know your hurt, but come on! If anypony can live through all that and still stand and keep his head held high, I can't think of anypony better to be our one and only leader, Radiant Sentinel! Am I right guys?! Come on motivational chant! Radiant! Radiant! Radiant! Radiant! Radiant!"

Radiant actually had a small grin on his face now that he had his scarf on, he saw a few of the others smiling at him. Then he heard Blizzard beginning to chant for him. "Thats alright Blizzard, you can stop. besides Tyra is the group leader, I would be unfit for that position in my condition." I may still help you all as much I can but I am no good in combat.

ICarus laughed a bit at the current situation. " Well, we got him to smile, so that;'s one step closer to the Radiant we all know ant love" He gave a small chuckle, almost resulting in a coughing fit.  It was good to see the moral of the group hadent hit rock bottom. They were all up and hopefully ready to take on this new menace head on.
