And guys don't worry if you pass out, I'll get you guys your own rooms here, so you won't wake up wondering 'WTF did I do last night  ?!' Alright? caliber sat down at the table. the last contest just ended. he grinned at tyra. "you still dont know who you're talking to" he said. he drunk his first, then second, then third, and kept on, assuming tyras going with him. "yer goin' down, ya freaking viking!" he slurred.

Ticktock agreed with Blizzard "This is going to be the second most epic battle ever (just behind mine and blizzards at the outpost)" Said Ticktock who was overflowing with excitement He then said " I vote for Tyra ,no wait I vote for Caliber. Oh darn it it's impossible to decide who will win but I have a solution I will vote for whoever wins."

Blizzard couldn't help but cheer his friends on, "Go Tyra! Go Caliber! Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go Go!"  Even though IB hated getting drunk him and his friends were happy, so he couldn't help but cheer, "I think we should all vote for who wins! this competition is starting to turn up! Come on guys!"

As Radiant was lying in bed he could hear a large amount of racket being made down stairs. He got out of his bed setting his hooves on the ground "I guess I should go check to see what's happening." He mumbled to himself still rather tired and weak.

 

Radiant left his room closing the door behind him and walked to the stairs. As Radiant was halfway down the stairs and could see what was happening in the tavern he realized it was his team making all the noise. Tyra and Caliber were inhaling beverages at an alarming rate that made Radiant almost feel sick to his stomach. "Gah, how can they put all that down so quick. Let alone is it really something to get so work up about?" He asked himself as he turned around heading back up stairs.

 

As he reached the top of the stairs he smirked. "Well then again, if it helps morale then it's fine with me just hopefully they don't black out when there's still a possible threat around." He said walking back into his room forgetting to lock the door behind him from his drowsiness. He dropped down in his bed once again and tried to ignore the noise downstairs.

Tyra simply smirked as she sat across from Caliber, and began inhaling mug after mug of cider. They weren't nearly as strong as the mead she was used to back home, so she had a lot of confidence in her victory.

 

She kept up with Caliber perfectly, matching him drink for drink.

His slurred taunt was a good sign; she felt a slight buzz, but was fine to keep going a while longer.

 

"It is not wise to challenge me to such a battle," she taunted back, downing another mug and slamming it on the table, "Another!"

Icarus simply watched. He found the whole idea of the drinking contest odd, but his friends were signed up, so he was going to watch and see who could knock themselves out first. " Please dont make me carry you guys home, I would rather not have to treat alcohol poisoning" He said, joking a bit.

caliber managed a grin. he continued his chugging, as well. the bartender brought the new platter stacked with cups. he started drinking more. they had already broken the record, and they weren't showing any signs of stopping. caliber was really starting to feel woozy, now. but he didn't quit. they were at twenty-seven cups, each.

Tyra grabbed a mug in both hooves each, and downed one before going to the other. The buzz was getting stronger, but she was still far from finished.

 

She saw Caliber was getting dizzy, and a wide smirk crossed her face.

"Are you ready, to give in, my friend?" She taunted, her voice beginning to slur itself.

caliber growled. "no." he said, stubbornly. he doubled his drinking speed, and was determined on winning. "i wont lose to a...*hic*...viking!" he said, "im Calcifer! Calcifer, the Fighter!" he declared. not realizing his grammar, he continued his drinking frenzy. he didnt plan on losing, but he was really starting to get woozy.

Tyra smirked and began to match Caliber's drinking speed, as determined to win as he was.

 

"You are fading, my friend," she laughed, sensing victory was right in her grasp, "Let us see who lasts the longest!"

 

She begun feeling rather tipsy herself, but her determination got her to keep drinking.

caliber stood up, kicking his chair away. "i refuse to lose!!" he said, still going strong. they were at about thirty-five cups each, now. caliber startde seeing black around the edges of his vision. he knew what that meant. he really wanted to win, and he didnt know why. maybe its cause he just wanted to prove he's the best. either way, he was really starting to lean from side to side. "i...will not...lose..."

Blizzard was astonished, "Oh my!   Caliber looks like he's gonna lose. I'm surprised, hm I thought he might've won. He was in an eating contest with Pinkie and almost won, but I guess getting drunk might be a whole different scenario." he thought to himself. He then spoke aloud, "Come on guys you can do it!"

Icarus seemed slightly annoyed. They were litterally gonna drink until someone gave up, that could turn out bad, but he kept watching. He knew Tyra would win, she seemed like the one who could really take the buzz from all the alcohol she was consuming. Caliber, on there other hand, was already showing classic signs of it getting to him

Tyra noticed that Caliber had begun swaying, losing his balance from all the alcohol in his system.

 

"Perhaps you should quit, friend," She suggested, taking another swig, "You look as though every drop you have swallowed is about to come back up!"

 

She grinned at him, the buzz strong in her. "There is no shame in admitting defeat!"

Blizzard noticed Caliber about to fall over, so he caught him on his shoulder, "Woah bro, are you ok? You were about to fall just then. Do you still wanna keep going or do you wanna stop? Like Tyra said, no shame in a forfeit dude, no shame. What are ya gonna do?" he said with this face:

caliber's eyes lit up. he looked like he had the most genius idea in the world. the air rippled around him, and his dark magic activated. his balance returned, and the queasiness disappeared. "your weak against magic, right?" he declared, before drinking even more beers, two at a time. he had the most idiotic grin of his face. he wouldn't be feeling any negative effects until the time limit of thirty seconds up. whether or not tyra could drink even faster for thirty seconds or not would determine the result of the battle. the bartender needed help filling beers, they were drinking so fast!

Blizzard jumped back, "Woah what the what?! Isn't that cheating?  " Blizzard thought to himself as he watch Caliber use magic against Tyra, who said before that she was vulnerable severely by magic." "Ok guys, I think that's enough... hehe you both proved yourselves, I recommend stopping before you get SICK!"

Tyra narrowed her eyes as Caliber resorted to using his magic to help him.

"A dirty trick," she snarled, grabbing two mugs of beer herself, "I shall overcome your underhoofed tactics!"

 

Like Caliber, she too began downing two mugs at once. Such a feat was nothing for a resident of Trotstheim.

 

She felt a strong buzz, but she was still in this. She matched Caliber's drinking as fast as she possibly could.

a timer went off in caliber's head. all light disappeared from his eyes, the magic went away, and he fell face-first into the table. he started snoring. the bar was silent, watching caliber sleep

Blizzard was astonished at what happened, "And 50-Caliber bullet bites the dust. Tyra wins!" Blizzard picked up Caliber, "Yo tender, my passed out friend needs a room." he pays for Caliber's room, "Thanks, come on bro." *he takes him up to his room and tosses him onto bed* "Good match bro..." *closes door*

"HAHA!" Tyra laughed, raising her mug in the air as Caliber collapsed, "A Shatterhoof never loses a drinking match!"

 

A round of applause sounded from the tavern as she finished her last drink in celebration. She glanced to Icarus and Blizzard, smirking with a small drunken flush on her cheeks showing.

 

"Was I not, amazing there?" She boasted, taking a pause to burp, "All manners of ponies have challenged me to drinking matches once." She raised a hoof, smirking proudly. "Once."

As Radiant was close to dozing off he heard a loud uproar from under the floor boards, he pulled his pillow over his ears. "Those idiots, can't they ever give it a break." he said slightly annoyed as he then rolled over on his back. "Then again, I should of expected this sort of thing. One does not simply sleep during a festival." 

 

A smirk came across Radiant's face at his own comment, he now just lied there looking up at the ceiling waiting for the noise to hopefully die down. To distract himself he tried using his magic again, straining to even get the smallest spark out. After focus his attention he was able to cause a small glow of light from the tip of his horn. He dispelled it to not tire himself. "Well at least that's reassuring that earlier wasn't a fluke," he said to himself smiling once again.

Blizzard trotted downstairs after putting Caliber in his room, "Haha! Good match Tyra! Wish I could say the same for Caliber, he should be fine though. I bought him a room to sleep in upstairs and tossed him in." Blizzard then held his laughing for a bit before bursting out, "HAHAHA      *wipes frozen tear* I tossed him in! *laughs for 15 seconds* ahem, seriously though he did good but needs some rest. But you on the other hoof...*pats Tyra on back* you got some iron intestines there axe girl. Three cheers for Tyra!"

"Well, it seems Caliber is going to wake up with a bloody nose with the way he hell onto the counter..... oh, congratulations on your win as well" Icarus said, making sure blizzard was careful and that Caliber was in fact, all right. He seemed to have simply passed out, but he was sure to feel the effects as soon as he woke up
