He and Ampyrion lifted him up and carried him out of the room, down the hallway, down the stairs, and while struggling, finally to where everybody else was.

Lovely confusing blinked at Lab brag, "seriously?" She paused for a second and looked at the fire-fighters, "well they certainly look stupid enough to fall for it." Lovely noticed one of the fire-fighters starring at her, he was perfect. Lovely went over to the fire-fighter pony, "oh I'm so scared! I'm so happy that a BIG, STRONG, HANDSOME colt like yourself is here to protect me," Lovely fell into the fire-fighters hooves. Lovely spun around to face the fire-fighter and batted her eyes cutely as she rubbed up against him, "I wish I knew what was going on, that would make me so, (breathes) happy." Lovely smiled seductively as she saw the fire-fighter begin to get nervous.

It's 10:05pm

 

Croaks swung his axe and decapitated Old Lady Eyespot's head, blood splashing on the floor. The fire-fighter took the strip of cloth from Croaks and kept applying pressure to his wound. The fire-fighter looked pale, he had lost a lot of blood. "What are you bucking doing!? Are you bucking crazy!? You're going to jail for murder now!!" The fire-fighter screamed at Croaks, "this isn't bucking on me." The fire-fighter heard Ampyrion's comment about zombies as the two lifted him up and brought him downstairs, "zomponies? Is everyone in this building bucking crazy!? The lady came down with a fever which caused hysteria. Buck."

It's 10:15pm

 

The fire-fighter is seduced by Lovely. He swallows and says, "w-we don't really know everything that's happening, except that it's bad. We were told to bring the Old Lady to them, and not get bitten in the process...". The fire-fighter looked past Lovely as he saw Ampyrion and Croaks arrive to the bottom floor. Upon sight of his injured comrade he screamed, "what the buck happened up there! Oh buck she bit you! Oh buck! Oh buck! we're all gonna die! We're all gonna die!"

 

It's 10:20pm

 

The megaphone from outside is heard again, "Hello residents of twenty-three Haybale lane, please stay calm and do not attempt to leave the building. All exits are sealed, and if you attempt to leave we will be forced to take serious and immediate action. In five minutes we will be sending in a Health Official. Again, please stay calm and stay in the building. Thank you for your co-operation."

The front door slowly opened. Bright lights shone through from the outside, siloueting the figure of the Health official. He was wearing a full body, orannge HAZOP suit with a black sattle bag. He stepped in and the doors closed behind him.

The health official reached into his sattlebag and pulled out a syringe. "Now I need every pony to cooperate with a symple blood test and you will all be able to leave. I will be looking for a few signs of disease: Dialating pupils, discolored blood veins, and a few others. Now has anypony here been bitten by anything?"

(Oh, sorry. I didn't see biloh respond to your post so I thought you weren't accepted yet. Mkay).

 

Croaks looked at the medical official. He said, "Test me; I'm alright. None of us has been bitten except for-"

He cut himself off, worried if he should tell the official about the firepony.

Lovely went back over to Lab brag, slapping the fire pony with her tail. "He doesn't know anything, an idiot just as I originally pegged him for," she told Lab brag as she rolled her eyes. "I guess the forces find them disposal, us too apparently." Lovely's conversation was broke by Croaks and Ampyrion coming downstairs carrying the bleeding and screaming fire-fighter. "Oh my Celestial!" She yelped, "is everything okay? What happened up there?" She looked up at Croaks and Ampyrion for answers.

Lovely turned to see the health official come into the building. But hope soon faded as he came in, in a radiation suit, and they boarded-up the entrance again.

"I wonder if he isn't just another pig blindly being led to the slaughter," Lovely commented under he breath,

The health officer said. Lovely glared at him, "Bitten? What do you mean bitten? What's going on here? Why should we trust you? How do we even know what you're injecting into us?" Lovely glanced down at the fire-fighter, "we need an ambulance."

The health officer ignored her completely, "Everypony line up for a simple examination..." he then saw the firepony holding a bloody rag to his neck, "Jesus, they didn't say it was already this bad!" He turned to the door and yelled, "I need back up in here!" no response. he pulled a walky talky out of his sattlebag, "Guys, it's already reached the second stage of infection. I'm going to administer the tests, but I need back up. do you copy?" no response. "I repeat, do you copy? ...BUCK they cut the damn feed!" He recomposed himself and turned to the survivors, "Okay... just... just line up for the tests so I can get the hay out of here!"

Lovely sighed, her questions were being ignored. Lovely grabbed Croaks before he went over to the Health Official, "don't let him touch you until we get some answers." Lovely looked over at the Health Official with suspicion. "I told you we needed an ambulance, can't you see there is a colt dying here!? Why don't you contact those 'friends' of yours and do something? This is inpomane!"

the health officer pointed to the firepony. "You first." he causiousely approached him. he reached into his sattlebag and pulled out a flash light. He held the firepony's head with one hoof, and shined the flashlight into his eyes. "That's not good," he commented.

The firepony paniced "Not good? what's not good?"

"Don't panic!" The officer pulled out his syringe. Without warning, he jabed it into the fireponies arm and filled it with blood. He pulled out a bottle with a blue liquid in it, and squirted some of the blood into it. The liquid immediantly turned bright red. "He's infected. oh yeah he's got it really bad."

The firepony yelled, "GOT WHAT?"

He turned to the other ponies, "There's been a break out of an unknown disease. That is all I am at liberty to tell you. Now, if you would kindly let me do my job..."

Croaks responded to Lovely saying, "I don't really need answers. Government does what government does. Plus, I don't have anything to lose other than my life."

He shrugged and smiled as he went over to the HO and said, "Here," he gave him his arm, "Me next."

The HO drew blood and squirted it into another bottle. it turned purple. "You're clean."

 

He pointed at Lovely, "would you be so kind?"

"Hey, you're not jabbing me with that," snapped Ampyrion, eying the syringe. "You just plunged that into an infected pony's arm, and then into a clean pony's arm...contamination much?"

He pulled out anothe syringe. "I've been using a new one each time, I know better than that, I'm a profesional. Now stop being a fillly and let me give you a blood test."

Okay, so the fire ponies were useless in giving any answer. But the sight of Croaks and Ampyrion coming down stairs with an injured fire pony sparked my curiosity. I thanked Lovely for her help as a health official walked in, "Now I need every pony to cooperate with a simple blood test and you will all be able to leave. So this was a contagious disease... ,but the real question was, what did the disease do the person who was infected? If the screaming from Old Lady Eye Spot's apartment was any indication, it wasn't anything pleasant. As the health official in his HAZOP suit was giving tests, I went over to Croaks, who was proven negative for whatever the disease was, and began talking to him, "Hi Croaks, my name is Rhythm Hooves and I live on apartment 5A. You probably don't know me, and that's fine because I've only lived here for three months. I know it's not my place to be asking you this ,but did anything unusual happen up there with Old Lady Eye Spot? Was she infected? What did the disease do to her? I'm sorry to be asking you so many questions ,but I need to know," I said as I quickly glanced at the line for the syringe tests and saw that it would be my turn soon. (Wut I thought you were Lab Brag).

 

"Nice to meet you," Croaks said, "I'm Croaks. And yeah, something odd happened in there. A fireman got bitten by a zombie hag, I had to decapitate it, and there was blood everywhere. If that's not odd then I don't know what is."

Croaks scratched his head while he had the urge to smoke. A few years back, he quit, but now the urge is back because of nervousness.

"So, let me get this straight. There is an outbreak of an unknown disease, we've got a pony here who is dying and apparently infected and you're not going to help him?" Lovely glared, "you're not sticking me with anything until this colt is safely in a hospital where he belongs. I'm not carrying somepony's blood on my hooves." Lovely trotted over to the door and bucked it to create noise as she yelled, "WE NEED AN AMBULANCE!"

The HO drew blood from Ampyron. "No, there isnt going to be an ambulance." He put the blood in the liquid. It turned purple. "You're clean." He looked nervousely at the firepony. "We're going to have to separate him from the rest of the group."

Croaks looked at Lovely and said, "Lovely, there's nothing we can do. The HO probably knows as much as we do. All we can do to help the firepony is to slow the bleeding. That's all."

He gripped his fire axe nervously.

He was paranoid.

The HO pointed to Lovely. "I'm going to need a blood sample."

It's 10:55pm.

 

The infected fire-fighter begin breathing heavily, his natural mane colour was a dark blue, now turned to a pale white. His body collapsed. Not giving the ponies time to respond he stood up again, the bleeding from his neck has stopped. He has fangs and his eyes were blood-shot, he charged at the fire-fighter standing in front of the door, biting into his neck. "Get the fuck out of here!!!!" the other fire-fighter ordered.

(Sorry Pilot, I have a habit of switching between third person and 1st person, lol. I'll stick with 1st for now.)

 

I was suprised at how easily the word zom-pony slipped off his tongue. My suspicions were affirmed... it had to be a zom-pony if he said the word so easily. I mean, the old hag did bit the fire pony and did try to attack Croaks. And then there's all this talk about the disease being contagious and lethal. But, it still suprises me how easily Croaks was able to adjust to the idea that zom-ponies existed. He wasn't suprised, shocked, or nervous at all about something so fictional being so... REAL. Still, it would take pure, concrete proof to convince me that zom-ponies are running amock in here.

 

And as soon as that last though popped into my brain, he changed...
