Today is Good Friday, Easter is approaching.

How have you celebrated Easter, and what's your opinion of it?

Easter, to me, means Black Jelly Bird Eggs.

I love those damned things.

Dyeing eggs and getting Easter baskets was fun as a kid.  I don't recall ever focusing on the religious aspect of the holiday, and - to this day - I don't understand the correlation between that and a bunny who delivers colorful eggs.

Easter is all about Jesus of course. As a kid, I enjoyed finding Easter eggs in my backyard and waiting for the "Easter bunny" to come and bring me candy.

Oh, and what is Easter without delicous candy like Peeps.post-17217-0-29016500-1428108771_thumb.jpg

I fucking love peeps.

I can't wait until I can have some.

I know I can't wait! I recently bought a package of lemonade Peeps at Walmart. I haven't tried this flavor before, so I hope they're good.

Easter is sort of weird for my family, because we arn't religious. As a kid, I got all the in stuff like egg hunts and candy without having to go to church. It was a pretty good deal, really.

My mom still give me candy, but now Easter is mostly an excuse for my family to have brunch or dinner together.

Easter is... pretty much meaningless to me, seeing as I do not believe in Christianity, and also hate, hate, hate Spring.

I do like cute little fluffy bunnies and candy, though. xD

I read the Grantville Gazette (fan fiction for Eric Flint's 1632 universe) & I've done some research on things

Point is, in the 17th century Santa Claus did NOT deliver toys. It was the Easter Bunny's job to know who was naughty & give treats to good children.  The "dyeing eggs" thing is from a pagan ritual marking the return of spring.  The Easter Bunny is probably the most pagan part of Christianity (right up there w the Xmas tree).

Still liked dyeing eggs when I was a kid.

I stayed home and had ham on and was given a Cadbury hollow egg with Cadbury eggs in it and also 20 bucks by my mom.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

To celebrate Easter I went to the Easter Show. (Not sure if you guys have this in countries other than Australia). It's basically a fair/festival with rides, animal-petting things, shows/performances and these bags of cool items and/or candy called 'showbags.'

We also had an easter egg hunt in our backyard with the entire family.
