~Chaos~ 3,967 April 13, 2012 Share April 13, 2012 So Weber was fined, but Bitz gets 2 games. Hmm i know the Bitz hit was from behind, but isn't slamming someone's head in to the glass worthy of a suspension? I'd think so.. Although, this is the NHL :/

Although, this is the NHL :/ For all the emphasis on reducing blows to the head during the regular season, they hypocritically slap Weber on the wrist for slamming a guy's HEAD into the dasher. Zetterberg's helmet cracked in 3 places from it. Sure he wasn't hurt immediately after and he's in the lineup tonight, but what happens if concussion symptoms begin to show in a few days or a week later? I want retribution from somewhere tonight, but not at the expense of going down 0-2 in the series. If Kronwall has a chance in the play to do his usual wrecking ball hit into Weber, go for it, but don't go out of the play seeking it. I agree, The NHL says they want to get rid of hits to the head and stuff like that, but when it happens (Weber incident) they give him a fine of $2,500. Which to him is like a parking ticket. Yes, if he must get retribution for the incident, it's wise to not let it effect his focus on the game. Because you just can't afford to go down 0-2 in a playoff series. Side Note: Go Canucks, Flyers, Red Wings, Florida! (I think a Nucks vs Wings series would be very entertaining) This Philly/Pitts series is really entertaining

Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 Yay Red Wings tying the series up 1-1. That's why I don't mind not having home ice. So much pressure to win games 1 and 2 if you're the home team. Also yay Flyers (hate Crosby/Pittsburgh) and yay Kings (underdogs) MLP Forums' resident timelord, sports dilettante, and purveyor of wit and humor~*Traveling Timelord Nonpareil*~

Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 I gotta say, Vancouver has A++ music selection during stoppages and breaks. So many sweet songs played on the organ lol. I just don't know what went wrong.. had to throw in a Derpy quote! ... our power play was just horrid! i mean they looked better without it almost , Kings were all over them. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 Wouldn't it be crazy if all four higher seeds lost in the first round? Vancouver 0-2, St. Louis 0-1, well Phoenix is up 1-0, but Nashville tied 1-1 That would give the Wings home ice for the next 2 rounds lol. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 I only saw a few seconds of highlights but damn tonight's Ottawa/Rangers game looked brutal. I saw one Sens player just wailing on a Ranger along the boards (Dubinsky?) then on Twitter I see Carl Hagelin (former U. of Michigan star who I've seen play the past 3 years) is going to have a hearing about a hit on Alfredsson. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 This Wings/Predators series has been crap. The dominant team has lost each game because of fluky bounces and breaks. Wings should have won games 1 and 3 and Predators should have won game 2. Frustrating. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 This is awesome. Pittsburgh's true colors as sniveling cowards are being exposed on national TV. Crosby isn't a leader, he's a whiny pansy. I don't care if you're a Penguins fan, I hate them because of their attitude, Cindy, and their management. Malkin is the only genuine star of that team and he deserves better. Hockey purists have to be livid at the quality of play so far these playoffs lol. Penguins/Flyers has been a glorified bar fight all series. Senators/Rangers had their TNT ignited last night. Weber incident. SJ/StL has had some rough moments. Great job Shanahan and Bettman. 1 MLP Forums' resident timelord, sports dilettante, and purveyor of wit and humor~*Traveling Timelord Nonpareil*~
Whiteshade 1,426 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 oh pens, u so silly I didn't watch the game, but if that didn't break the record for most penalty minutes in a 1st period, I don't know what will Vancouver v LA is also coming up... not optimistic for Vancouver, they would be better off starting schneider for this one, in addition to, you know, not failing Warning: Signature may cause seizures, owner will sue you if you complain Nothing happens, yet everything changes. ~Chaos~ 3,967 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 Sweet sassy molassy! Penguins got steam rolled by Philly, i don't see them coming back in the series. It's possible though, but still. Schneider to start for Vancouver, this could spark them, they seem to play better in front of Schneids, but you just never know with the Canucks. I am going to be optimistic though, It'd be nice if we went all beast and won 4 games to win the series, but that probably won't happen. Just hoping for a solid effort tonight!
