hey. he won, so, he gets around 2000 bits.   the arena ponies themselves make around 500,000 bits from selling tickets, alone. so they pay for any damages, as well as pay the victor.

I'm already writing the post for the Wilhelm/Caliber fight, and I just thought of the weirdest metaphor. One moment, let me grab the excerpt:

 

"Wilhelm drew the bowstring back to his cheek, the noise of reinforced cord stretching accompanied with the whine of two small motors in the tips of the compound bow. As he sighted down the crosshairs mounted on the side, he took a deep breath and held it, arrow fletching tickling the navy-blue fur on his cheek. His focus began to wander from the target in front of him, and he snapped back to the present after a heartbeat, reminding himself that it's like playing the piano; you need to focus completely on the piece you're playing. A piano of death, but still."
