You really can't blame him if they don't see eye-to-eye. Aurora's been rather fixed in her ideas of what her character should be able to do, often springing surprise spells and abilities without warning, and Swinton is becoming more and more fixed on what is and isn't allowed after trial and error.

It makes more sense for Aurora to bend her character than it does for Swinton to bend the rules. :/

That's what I think, at least.

Although I'd really like to know what's going on in this discussion.

Funny. Btw, for now Chrysteel is just out for this arc. He told me she wasn't fitting in at this point. But he said I could jump back in after the arc.

 

However, What do yall think? Should Chrysteel stay out for the remainder of the arc? or Should there be a way for Chrysteel to jump in and help you all.

 

My personal thoughts on that so called request would be that it is a trap just to gain the rest of the elements.

I'm sorry to post on this when I'm not a part of this rp at all but I have to say something I know you are a new gm swinton but I have been a gm for 15 years and one thing all good gms know and do listen to yiur players especialy when they have years of experience like midnight has and dont have everything yiu want to happen set in stone you need to be flexible and able to flow with the actions of your players because they can change what happens just by not going to a certain place or doing an action that you didn't expect

To be honest, yall think Chrysteel is op because she is out side your normal area of understanding.

 

I haven't read the comics. All I have in changeling knowledge comes from either fan fics or the canterlot wedding episode. I removed aura magic as a spell type and turned it into a must activate spell. It gives only a bonus to spells cast within the duration and that bonus only affected the environment around the intended targets.

 

This was because 'yall' already said Chrysteel can't 'directly' affect anypony.

 

which in turn would prevent her from finding a proper food source and slowly painfully die. We hen I brought that up yall suddenly changed your minds about the sense but still as m unable to directly affect anypony or npc.

 

As of now you want me to take a base that is as small as it can get and shave it down some more. Ok I used DnD as a way of explainning what her abilities and skills and talents are. If that makes her OP then. There is nothing to be done.

 

Chrysteel is missunderstood again and there can be no changing it. I have already striped her of the non essentials as per gm request. but yall want me to rip a base to nothing.

 

What will result is a being with no magic no strengths no skills no talents no usage... She is already a base of a base. All abilities such as skills and talnets are as small as can be made. To sense a heart allows Crysteel to find that which she needs to survive. To feed on it also allows her to survive. Her shapechange allows for her to take very select forms. And those forms also limit her further. Only in her natural form is she ever at full power.

 

Even then I dropped her to be a almost literal blank slate just so no one would call her OP. Her powers, except a few, are all optional. Her personality is more chaotic then discord's rule of equestria. Her true self is unobtainable in most RPs because everyone says the evolution is too powerful.

 

This means she lives in a constaint state of being denied her true self. Her worst fear is just about every RP I request to have her in.

 

The main thing and final time I will say this is, to dim her down more then she already is means you turn her into a pony foal who requires others to do everything for her and become a permanent depressed being who can never find her true self. Intermediate level magic is as that. Twilight is using a high level spell at bucking will and player characters are more like the mane 6 then you care to realize. They can't be background ponies left when the episode no longer needs them to collect dust. We their creators won't allow that.

 

Sense it seems there can be no way to fix this do called problem, which btw only yall seem to see as a problem, there is no posible foreseeable return of Chrysteel. And sorry but I smell using this because it the bucking same as for Chrysteel. Lektra's companion can scan Everypony in a room and make a medical profile of them and yall allow that, but no here is Chrysteel trying to sense the heart. Instant bucking red flag this ablity is op. You must change it to be this way or leave the RP.

Thank you Amber, you have shown me the neither you nor Swinton are good potential GMs. You say that even a bucking ripped to high hell, base bucking character is to op for a canon that doesn't yet exist. I feel that this rp will lose its steam in up to three months. Then you will be singing a new tune.
