caliber finally had an idea.

 

he froze, and let his shoulder get stabbed.

 

he grinned, grabbing the shadow's sword with his free hoof so it cant escape, and swinging his sword in a deadly ark towards his shadow's head.

 

it connected, and the shadow's head rolled on the floor for a moment, before disappearing.

 

caliber slumped to the ground. he's overused his dark magic, and he's been injured.

LS gently took Cal over to the wall. "Stay here, you shouldn't move that much until you are healed". She walked over to where Blu was standing and said, "lets do this" they both flew high into the air high above the castle, "STAND BACK EVERYPONY" LS shouted from the sky. Then, LS nodded to Blu, and they both started flying down as fast as they could. Sparks started forming at their hoofs, and right before they hit the ground.........BOOM! All the shadow ponies were blown away by the blast

[Humble Hymn 90]

Spellbind and Humble,left behind from the rest of the group, were making their way through the castle looking for their friends, fighting off hordes of shadows, with Spellbind holding them off and Humble doing what he can to keep them off her. Then they heard the loud boom. "AH" Humble cried out, falling back and holding tightly onto Spellbind, "what in Equestria was that" he said worriedly. Though it seemed Humble wasn't the only one startled by the sound, as the shadows hurriedly retreated into the darkness they came from. 

 

Realizing the sudden absent of shadows, and the fact Humble was holding Spellbind much too tightly, he quickly let go to give her breathing room. "So...uh..." Humble said embarrassed to Spellbind, "what now?".

Spellbind embaraced Humble as tightly as he embraced her when there was a loud noise followed by a massive influx of shadows. When they were all gone, she let go.

 

"I have no idea what that was," she said. "But it was something to do with shadows. I know that much."

 

"Um, shall we find the others?"

Blizzard looked around in awe, "Woah! Oh shoot! Get down!" Blizzard got down and took cover with his ice shield. While doing so, he was amazed by Lightning and Blu's moves, "Wow. That's awesome! Where is that son of a gun Rave? He needs to be put down for good! Where did he go?"

[Humble Hymn 90]

"What's to bet that wherever that sound came from is where we'll find them..." Humble replied.

 

The two ponies carefully made their way towards where they heard the boom, going deeper and deeper below the castle, until they came up to a large room with an organ at the other end.

"Gosh, look at the size of that organ!" was the first thing that Spellbind said when she and Humble entered the very large room. She cantered over to it and examined it, though was a bit afraid and nervous to touch it lest negative consequences happen...

[Humble Hymn 90]

Humble noticed the other ponies in the room, realizing they're his friends who looked slightly knocked back for some reason. He began to go over to them, to see if they were okay, when he felt a disturbing presence behind him. Humble slowly turned around, and to his eyes revealed a familiarly shaped shadow standing before him. This shadow struck much more fear into Humble than any other shadow he came across, and he didn't want any part of it. Humble tried to take a few steps back, but for every step he took the shadow stepped closer towards him. Humble had a good feeling of what this was and he had to do something, but not much time was given to him. For the shadow spread it's wings and quickly flew at Humble. Humble barely had any time to evade the speeding shadow, diving to the side and out of the way. For the moment he was safe, but knew something was wrong. "My bag..." Humble looked back at the hovering shadow, and could very well see that the shadow did in-fact have his bag. The shadow reached into the bag and pulled out Humble's flute. "HEY! GIVE THAT BACK!". The shadow just looked at both Humble and the flute, and placed it back into the bag. It then seemed to reach for something with it's other hoof, pulling out it's own shadow-like pan flute. It was then that Humble knew, this shadow was meant to be a copy of him, if not his own shadow...Though he didn't have time to look down to check if he did lose his shadow, cause the shadow began to play it's flute, and it wasn't anything like Humble played before. All that came out, was shrilling sounds. So shrilling that Humble had to cover his ears. "AHHHHH...."

Spellbind gasped at what happened before her. When the shadow started to play Humble's flute and used it to make horrible shrilling noises, she covered her ears in agony. She was able to overcome it and try to take the flute from the shadow. She launched magic at it as she beat it up with her hooves.

Skylar was forced to shake herself awake when she heard other noises in the hut. She slowly took to her feet as a shadow-- her own-- took to its own, staring at her.

 

She flinched back. The shadow's wings were crumbled, hardly wings anymore, dragging on the ground like giant stumps. She felt the tears sting her eyes again. That was what her wings looked like.

 

The shadow jumped at her. She kicked it with her hind legs, but felt a pain in her spine as she did. She was sore everywhere.

LS and Blu were standing up, then they hoof-bumped each other. they were both looking very proud of themselves. "we should try and get to Rave now before he becomes stronger" LS said. "the stronger he becomes, the harder it will be to defeat him" she flew up to the metal door. "hmm...do you think that if we freeze the door then hit it with a really powerful force it will break down?" She said, looking at IB

caliber started 'striking' at the metal door, in hopes of breaking it down, but he's tired.

 

he's not at full strength, and even if he was, it was unlikely he'd break it down. 

 

"...ice, do your thing." he said, before shuffling back a little to catch his breath.

Blizzard cracked his hooves and his neck,  "No problem guys! Chaarge!" he shot a single beam of ice at the door, until it was completely covered. Afterwards, he stepped back to catch his breath, "Whew, ok guys, somepony break it down so we can move up alright?"

LS and Blu kicked the door with all their might. eventually, it fell down, LS rushed in, storm cloud at the ready. "CMON OUT RAVE! We've got you trapped in here now!"she walked forward into a big room. "Wow, this looks like a place for summoning almost" she said, looking around

Rave looked at them with his now completely green glowing eyes. "Welcome, my little ponies, I am so glad to see you" his voice had changed, becoming a bit deeper and raspier. "You see, I have completed a large portion of my spell and become a lot stronger, however, there is one more thing that I need for the spell to be completed..... a sacrifice" he grinned as a wall of green fire sprouted up behind the group of ponies. "So, it is not I who am trapped here, but in fact you" he laughed madly as he seemed to be creating shadow ponies out of nowhere, and not just of ponies, but all manner of creatures.

caliber groaned, and forced his dark magic to activate.

 

it hurt, but it was necessary just to keep up with the shadows.

 

he laid into them, fighting them.

 

"you! evil guy! you wont get away with this!" caliber called out, trying to take out the shadows, but he was steadily slowing down, and his dark magic was already at it's peak. "ill...i dunno, slice your horn of?"

"A sacrifice? Really?" She said, raising one eyebrow, "why would any of us sacrifice ourselves to help you make your evil spell, do ya think we're stupid?" She said to rave, then flew up and sat on her storm cloud. "Plus we can still figure out a way to get out, your little fire show wont stop us"

"Then by all means, go through the fire. You won't be finding it to be normal. It is fel magic. It will sear your wings off" he gave Lightning a toothy smile. "Plus, when did I ever talk about a willing sacrifice? We all know that today, ponies don't allow such things, so most sacrifices are forced. But let's not waste our time talking". Rave began blast waves of dark magic in the direction of the ponies.

Blizzard walked in and saw Rave again. He noticed more shadows on the ground and activated cryo style, "Bring it on! Let's go! Attack!!" he began to fling ice almost everywhere. He may not have been all that accurate, but his damage output was decent enough. "Don't slow down!"

"CHAARRRRGGGEEEEE!!!" She yelled as she ran forward and blasted shadows with powerful bolts of lightning. "DIE YOU EVIL CREATURES!" She kicked a few of them in the face. "STAND BACK EVERYONE!" She flew up high and held her hoofs up to they were almost touching the cloud, then, a big circle of light appeared in the middle of the cloud, thunder rumbles, then CRASH, a huge bolt of lightning struck the ground, hitting and destroying multiple shadows

Rave only shakes his head. "Always have to take care of things myself, don't I?" he started to walk in their direction, the other shadows cowering before him, allowing him to pass by. However, he did not leave the circle he was in. He  growled and then a shockwave of dark arcane magic shot from his horn, going in the direction of the other ponies.

"What the....?!" LS flies up to avoid the magic, then comes back down and stands in a somewhat crouching position, growling at Rave. Thunder rumbles in her cloud. Then she stood up straight and asked rave, "what does this spell of yours do exactly?" "I just want to know what we are up against"

"Oh nothing much. It just paralyzes your whole body, making you go limp like a  boned fish" he grinned, revealing his sharp teeth yet again. "I do need my sacrifice to be alive of course, if I am to finish the spell" he laughed again darkly. He used his levitation spell to try and drag Lightning closer to him.

caliber was hit dead on, but his dark aura, and guarded sword took the brunt of the blast.

 

he was still sent flying, however, and crashed into the wall. "ack!" he fell to the ground, shakingly getting into his battou-jutsu stance, and slashing at any shadow that came close.

 

his dark magic had abandoned him, and wouldn't come back no matter how hard he tried.

 

he was down to the last card in his deck, and it didnt seem to be doing much. the shadows just kept coming and coming...

"HEY! Get-ngggh--!" She flapped her wings as hard as she could to get away from this evil pony. "LET GO OF ME!" She shot a bolt of lightning towards him. "Guys, we have to stop him at all costs, if he finishes his spell, he will paralyze everypony in equestria!" She made her storm cloud bigger, upping her fighting

She watched as her friends were getting beaten by shadows. She started flying in a big circle, creating a big tornado in the middle of the room. "Why. Can't. You. Just. leave. Us....ALONE!" She shouted from inside her tornado at Rave. She wanted to just fly up and attack him head on, but doing that could risk her life

Rave laughed at Lightning. "Leave you alone? Are you forgetting you are the attackers here. This is my hideout, my head quarters, and you invaded it, attacking my shadows who were only trying to defend it". Rave was not leaving the magical circle he was in. He kept on walking by the lines borders. "And for trespassing here, you will be dealt with". He fired a red lightning from his horn towards Lightning.
