I'm sorry for taking so long, but I'm with rocket here. I can't say the the story is going fast or anything...but I must agree, there's far too many padding posts for my liking... This is what happens

Perhaps it makes them weaker, makes them more susceptible to other ponies attack? That way you are not doing too much yourself, that way it is more balanced (also, it might be best to start that way and then your OC's skill with the flute will become stronger/better (no not the daft punk song) with time and it might then have stronger effects later). 

This guy's a genius. XD It can also go with your idea, Humble, of confusing/weakening. It can make them hallucinate, maybe, or slow them. And I don't think anybody would object to it if it healed/inspired at the same time... maybe healing, but not inspiring. After all, music is inspiring. ;) Or it could be different tunes: one tune weakens, one tune heals, etc. And they get increasingly harder as it gets more OP, or takes more energy, or something.

Note all that are suggestions! I don't want to step on your toes, Humble. Do what you want! (So long as it is okay with Lightning.)

Eeyup, I just have to read all the rp to figure out how Rocket could incorporate in the action. I'm more used to the regular roleplay system, in the other forums, where you have to write a certain minimum amount of lines, so I'm a bit lost, but I'll try that when I'm done reading.

Spellbind sat next to Humble and listened to him as he played that flute of his, and it was like chocolate cake to her ears. That being an idiom she just made up, meaning it was wonderful to listen to. "That was beautiful," she complimented when it was finished, nuzzling him.
