planning The Enforcers (Human/Humanized)

Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I ran an RP, so I think it's about time I start one up again. I'd love any help I could get for setting it up and formalizing the idea, so thanks in advance and here goes.

 

Plot skeleton:

Times had changed in Baikonur. What was supposed to be the city of the future had now become a den for crime of nearly any kind imaginable. In response to the rampant injustice cutting through nearly every level of the city, its mayor authorized the creation of a special task force to combat the most dangerous of criminals. Unlike traditional police, this squad is authorized to use both any means necessary and any resources they may require to deal with the threats that they are tasked with dealing with. Each member of this unit, known as the First Tactical Enforcement Division, is recruited for their unique talents, and the hope of the entire city's population is on them for their one-team war against a city full of people who would love nothing more than to slaughter them to a man.

 

As can probably be guessed by the skeleton of the plot, this is meant to be an adventure/combat RP, with a bit of a dark twist. Since the characters played by players are supposed to be quite badass to begin with, as long as you run it by me first I'm willing to admit most supernatural abilities any characters within may have.

 

Now for the boring part, rules!
RULES:
1. Please no godmodding/godmoding/doing anything to damage everyone else's experience: Again, the characters are to be badasses, but if you're going to interact with other player characters, at least give the other person a decent chance to respond.

2. Keep language civil: I don't mind swearing and most other forms of potentially objectionable content, but others might, so please keep that in mind for your posts.

3. Please post on a regular schedule whenever possible. If you find yourself unable to, try to find someone to take over for you. I know real life always takes precedence, but if at all possible try to find a way to bow out without disrupting the rest of the RP.

4. Have fun! There are only two goals for this RP, to have some fun and to write a good story.

How about I use Jacob Savage? He's a guardian from Destiny. He's used to fighting scum to help save humanity. (Though usually the scum is aliens, not other humans) XD

Hmm, depends on what sorts of abilities you mean for him to have of the ones that he would normally have at his disposal. Also, it's kinda ironic that you want to play a Destiny-inspired character in a roleplay taking place in Baikonur.

Hmmm, seems good. Hank would need to be humanized of course, and which one of his abilities would he have?

hmm.. well he would need his AIs. Maybe the shield ability he has? With the help of his AIs of course.

Bladedancer and Gunslinger? I maxed out both subclasses in the actual game...If you read down bellow in the misc. section, I list his exotic armors. True to the game, I'll only equip one at a time. I'll also be adding his exotic weapons and his ability to use the Gunslinger/Bladedancer supers. Plus throwing knives of course.

Yes, you can keep throwing knives instead of blink strike, and invisibility for things that it acts as (shadowjack, the crouching thing, et-cetera)

You play destiny don't ya? As a hunter. Lol, I need to give ya more credit. I'll keep blink strike. How about a compromise. I can't use both sub-classes at once? I'll primarily stick to blade dancer, but I might swap to gunslinger? I'll also be fair with my use of perks. That sound ok?

Yep, hunter main since launch. I'd rather if you chose one tree and stuck with it since I'm trying to have everyone specialize in one thing or another. And what exotic gear was he planning on having, because again I'd prefer specialization to generalization.

Gotta have my Ice Breaker. Thorn and Ghorn as well, but I'll only use one exotic weapon at a time. I'll stay bladedancer (it's my fave) and I'll have knuckle head radar for helmet, don't touch me gauntlets, crest of alpha lupi chest and/or unremarkable bones for boots (again, only one at a time). I'll only primarily be using knuckle head radar and Icebreaker.

well. The AIs keep hank alive, and they can hack and stuff. But it causes hanks shield to be weaker if they are doing other stuff.

Dang. I'm on the 360. I just recently reset my hunter (I kept the armor and weapons but accidentally deleted my materials ) And I just got him back up to 20 (32) so I've been playing a lot to beat the whole crota story line. I have the other two classes as well, but I'm planning on resting them as well just for fun.

Yeah, I'm just frustrated that there's no one to play with since no one owns a PS3. I'm a really good shot, but all the people who want to run VOG normal are either lower level than me or have no idea what they're doing.

..Hmm... Well, I looked at this earlier and didn't really see any potential interest in it... But with all that talk of Destiny you guys were having, I could maybe use my main... It's been a little while since I've played though and I didn't get that super duper far in it, but I can boot it up again and have a look at her current equipment and stats... I do remember my highest level character was in the Warlock class, my favorite of the three before hunters... Just give me a bit and I'll see what I can do...

Played, like I said, it's been a while. So long there's been a few updates. I gotta wait 45 minutes until everything's up to date to check out my character.

 

Anyways, I have the PS3 version of the game. I'm not the best Xbox player, so most of my games go to the Playstation systems.

Well, it's not strictly a Destiny RP, but I suppose it's a relatively similar theme, but with criminals instead of aliens being the main targets. Edited May 17, 2015 by FractalMoon
