Oddball 132 May 16, 2015 Share May 16, 2015 Mother of GOD!!! Was this ever difficult I had to do 20 prisoner squats, 10 push ups on my knees, 20 LUNGES, 10 dumbbell rows, plank 30 secons(NEVER AGAIN!), and 30 jumping jacks! Then all that do it again! I couldn't even finish my second! Oh, but I feel nice any ways for doing it tomarrow I'll have to do it again(almost forgot to stretch)! What was your first day like? I'd love to hear all about it! daviddaviddavid 779 November 20, 2019 Share November 20, 2019 You can just start planking for like 10-15 seconds or something, focus on getting your posture/form right first and make sure you can feel the muscles you're targeting as that's what's most important. It took me about two weeks of gradually building my strength up before I could comfortably plank for a minute, so jumping straight in at 30 seconds is super hardcore!
Lucky Bolt 35,246 November 20, 2019 Share November 20, 2019 I've been wanting to get into gym exercises more, although lately I've been incredibly busy with work and school. I'll get to it more eventually though.
Dreambiscuit 11,341 November 23, 2019 Share November 23, 2019 I think my first day of getting in shape after years of sedentary living consisted of watching Total Body Sculpt with Gilad; a fitness show that used to be on TV. It was agony at first and included a fair amount of cursing on my part as that guy mercilessly put me through my paces. I was on a mission though and ultimately succeeded. I was stiff everyday but pushed through it anyway. It was worth the journey. Now I have access to a gym facility so it’s not quite the guerrilla approach it once was when I had to use homemade implements. I never got out of the habit of regular exercise, so it’s definitely worth the effort to get into it.
