Anyone else not looking forward to the 100th episode?

Let me just say again that fanservice is usually a very bad thing for any show to do but if it is done right it can turn out really great! So keep your hopes up. We could be in for one of the best episodes of all time from this show for what we know.

I've just seen the first previews for the episode this morning and I've got a bad feeling about this for some odd reason.

Something isn't right for me about this episode. I am not feeling "that" hype vibe that usually is there when big event episodes are announced. Something is telling me that this could potentially backfire with the hype and anticipation is taken into overdrive to the point that people might end up being turned off by the over satuation of publicity.

 

Don't get me wrong, you need publicity to promote the show but I think this might be overdoing it a little bit.

Personally, this episode may end up being an over hyped disappointment for me. Just my two bits.

 

Although on a positive note, I am a bit glad that some characters of the past seasons are returning or getting voice roles.

In all honesty, I rather see a episode with the background ponies making friends and interacting with the Mane Six rather than a whole episode focused on them. I don't know, that's just me I guess but I always liked the idea of any background pony interacting with any of the Mane Six. I can see Rarity and Octavia becoming besties, Derpy and Pinkie Pie being the best of friends as well but fighting over muffins and cupcakes if the Derpy muffin thing becomes cannon, Rainbow Dash becoming best friends with Vinyl Scratch, and Twilight talking with Doctor Whooves. I don't know, I rather see them become small friends even with the Mane Six rather than their own episode, for some reason. It's just me I guess.

 

As excited as I am like the next guy or girl, I don't really care that much for a episode about the background ponies, or in general any of the background ponies alone. As much as I love them like the next brony or pegasister/female brony. I'm still kinda excited to see something with the background ponies and them getting their own episode, but I'd like something bigger for a 100th episode like them interacting with the Mane Six like I said or something. That's just me I guess.

I'm looking forward to this episode. Because there is going to be a lot of pointless fandom drama no matter what happens in it, and there is nothing I love more than pointless fandom drama.

I mean, it'll be a fun episode, and while a lot of it will be fanservice, I can see this becoming a farce which as I know from my experience with comedies such as Fawlty Towers, are very entertaining. The people of the original age demographic who watch this would probably find it funny with all the other ponies rushing around doing random funny stuff and getting stressed as the previews show.
