Banned because there is no plastic involved.

The fry's turkish delight is rose or lemon Turkish Delight (without any nuts, unfortunately) coated in chocolate and wrapped in a metal foil for freshness.

it predates by some time the use of plastic for packaging.

Not banned, but while it *is* good, it is the prepackaged chocolate-aisle version of turkish delight - only two flavours, large but thin blocks, and not as much gelatin as most fresh TD. So easily obtainable, significantly cheaper, but not really as good.
