*King looked at the card curiously for a moment. He then channeled some of his energy into the card, as he did when he would invoke his own cards. The card sparked in his hand, causing him to drop it.*

"Ah, that is a card I have no jurisdiction over. But it does have similarities to one of my own."

*He picked a card up off the coffee table. The Wheel of Fortune.*

"Situations are coming to a close, and new opportunities will come to replace them. Major milestones and life decisions are coming, some may have just passed as well. These are influenced by something long ago that was set in motion, perhaps by you, perhaps by someone you know, or have some connection to. One more thing, if there is something you desire that will be a long time coming, now is the time to begin the process. All will be ready when the wheel has come full circle yet again."

*King set the card back down.*

"Or at least that is how it relates to my cards. What you have there belongs to a parallel deck to mine, perhaps belonging to someone who has abilities much like mine from another land, maybe even another world."

From the Crystal in my ship, mother said she was tied to the Fortune Arcana. Her name was Rotara Fortune. My father was called Alexander Knight. He was bound to the Emperor Arcana. "The Moon. Things are not as they seem. The Moon also advises extreme caution when dealing with others. As for The Emperor, it is typically tied to the idea of relying solely on logic and reason. Those tied with The Emperor exhibit responsibility, maturity, and various other leadership qualities."

*Then King realized something.*

"Alexander Knight? Well isn't that an astounding instance. Quite fascinating. Alexander Knight, where as I am Alexander King. Both bear the name Alexander, followed by a rank within a monarchy, it is rather interesting."

*King scratched his chin, very deep in thought.*

"We don't know more then that. Our title is 'The Moonlit Reaper'. It is also the name we go by when we shift into our battle form."

 

Aurora stands in the center of the room. "We trust all here, so we will show you our birth rite."

 

The spheres form into Two blades which she grabs. One is as black as a new moon. The other like the full moon. Their hilts are a black and a silver crescent moon. She then links the two like a swallow. However instead of a Swallow they become a new moon black Scyth. She is wrapped in what looks to be the robes of a reaper, guardian of death.

 

Her twin voices speak as one. "This is what others see of us. The meta known as Moonlit Reaper."

Silver shakes her head, "Police is a good escape strategy, but not until we get out of the building... Till then, move slowly and try not to make too much noise..." Shade feels a strange tingling around his body, followed by the strange experience of seeing his body and Silver's disappear. She moves silently up to the lobby, trying to escape the area.

Pat still wasn't sure what he should do, but he decided to trust the stranger, at least for the moment, even though he didn't agree that they would be that helpless against this "False Shade", especially if both of them fought together.

"Oooo, trippy. We need to do this more often..." Shade waved his hand in his face and indeed saw it wasn't there. Shade then slowly noticed he was reappearing, then heard Silver's footsteps across the room. "Oh ok, right behind you." Shade again got behind Silver and disappeared once more.

 

"I hear the police sirens already upstairs, At least 10 I would say..." he whispered.

"Right then, let's go," Emile said, running out of the hole in the wall and opening a rift to the top of a building for himself and the Star Spangled Man.

 

The man in a full suit of plate armor made his way into a heavily populated park and called out "Kneel before King Arthur!" The people soon began to laugh. This enraged the man, who then pulled out another sword and created a whirlwind gust from the tip of his sword, blowing people and trees hundreds of feet away. "It's best to listen to your king..."

Silver slowly creeps forward into the lobby, noticing that Emile has already left and there is a portal for Pat to leave. She continues to sneak with Shade until they're out of the building, then moves into a back alley and drops the cloak, "Alright, we give them two minutes to clear out, then we blow the charges. Might as well end this now. Do you remember where we parked?" She asks curiously, hoping that she has dropped the suspicion of the meta who confronted her earlier.

Pat stepped through the portal and onto the roof as well. He activated his comm.

 

"Come in... There were two hostiles, but... we decided not to engage."

 

"What? Why not, and what do you mean 'We'?"

 

*sigh* "I'll explain later"

 

He turned it off, and turned back to the stranger.

 

"So what now? We just... leave? And, actually, who are you anyway?"

*Weiss followed after him.*

"Hey! Tin Can! Don't you ignore me you royal wannabe!"

*She changed the light gathered into her hand into a long ornate halberd.*

"If you were a true king you wouldn't be afraid to take on a challenger, you also wouldn't attack people who can't fight back."

*Weiss held stepped into a combat stance. Shadows began to rise from the ground around her and formed into a solid armor like aura.*

"Impressive."

*King said seeing her transformation.*

The two voices say, "We are the moon arcane incarnate. Our reflection can hold nearly anything it captures. But our most dangerous power is missing the rest of its cards. Our mother's deck. From what we gather, they were scattered around the city. One for each major and minor arcana."

 

They then return to their base form. Aurora panting. "We are strongest when the moon has risen."

"No, we stay here. The building is still in view, so we can help anyone if anything goes down, but I doubt anyone will be hurt. I killed the most people out of anyone in that building, I'll explain that later," Emile said. "I trust that you're a good man at heart, and I also trust that you're extremely loyal to this country, so I'm not too keen on telling you who I am. I know you're Patterson Rio Tacitus, however. Tell River that I said hi. I'll explain to you who I am at my place if you're interested."

The knight fell to his knees grasping his helmet. He remembered a woman, and a small child, and a bunch of other people in a tent, uncovering something. Who am I? said a voice in his head. He then stood up, angry now. He turned to face Weiss and spoke "Gladly... I will paint the cobbles with your blood," he pointed his sword at her and entered a dueling position.

"So you need to find seventy-one cards, not counting the one we have here, in order to be able to harness your full power."

*King said thinking.*

"And every single one is somewhere in this city?"

"Well I'll paint the pavement with yours, you medieval mook!"

*She spun her halberd about in the air and then struck the ground with its base. Light spread across the ground and erupted upwards from Weiss' position and formed a large dome around the two of them. An arena where they would be able to fight, uninterupted and without any collateral damage. Once the barrier was up Weiss stepped back into her combat stance. She thought to herself for a moment.*

[He split the earth and crated a ton of damage with his first sword, but he swapped when he did that wind attack. I can only assume that he has more available to him than just the two, and if patterns are as predictable as I would hope, then that would mean the others would be fire and water. But what kind of attacks would he have with those abilities. I have to play defensively until I know what he is capable of. Once I know his moves, I can sunburst and take out my brawlers, his armor is bulky so I can't imagine him moving very fast, so the speed boost I get should be enough to avoid anything he can throw at me. Still, if there is anything I have learned in my life its to expect the unexpected. I can't underestimate this guy.]

"Ladies first I suppose."

*Weiss said as she charged towards Arthur for a quick couple jabs with her halberd before jumping backwards and retaking a defensive stance.*

The armor deflected next to nothing, it seemed as though it was just for appearance. He then leapt forward with a surprising amount of speed and hit Weiss across the chest. He then drew another sword, saying "You want proof I am King Arthur? Here is the sword given to me by the Lady of the Lake," he struck her leg, making it seem to freeze solid, "Excalibur."

Aurora nods. "That's what I feel. Mom's message also said my fate can only be found by them or one like them."

 

Aurora sits down cleanly fatigued. She asks, "I used to much power today. Can I please have a cup of honey tea. It is the only thing that can restore my lost power before night fall."

*Weiss' Dark Armor managed to block the attack to her chest, but Arthur's attack to her leg hit a gap. Weiss flinched and used her halberd to support her.*

"Not bad, I suppose I will have to go near all out from the start."

*Weiss stepped back, and her dark armor dissipated. Her halberd returned to an orb of light that she held in her hand. Her patch of white hair began to glow brightly and light radiated off of her. She slammed her fists together and light burst out, forming gauntlets. Her frosty leg returned to normal.*

"The light provides warmth, and warmth melts ice."

*Weiss jumped backwards and then charged forwards at Arthur at an even greater speed than his own, slamming her fist into his stomach with massive power, enough to knock him back at least a few feet. She then stood ready to dodge any followup he may have ready.*

"Sure."

*King stood up and walked over to the kitchen and prepared a cup of honey tea. He walked back over to Aurora and handed it to her.*

"Its a good thing I keep all kinds of tea supplies here. Sasha wound't have any if I didn't"

The punch did indeed knock back the man a few feet, but it seemed it had no other effects on him, he was still breathing normally. "Is that your best?" he said with a laugh. He sheathed his swords and ran forwards, grabbing Weiss by the head and squeezing it tight, then throwing her into the side of the dome, hard enough to leave a crack in the construct.

*The dome's crack quickly repaired, and Weiss stood up and made a motion like she was dusting off her shoulder.*

"My, you certainly do boast quite a lot of power, but that was a light blow, and a slow single attack, to test the waters. I guess I could up the notches a bit."

*Weiss' legs and arms began to glow with light, and she dashed forward, feigning an attack to his right side, but then swiftly swept his left foot out from under him, as Arthur fell, he sent a followup uppercut into his jaw, and a knockdown punch sending him to the ground.*

The man still seemed unfazed by the attacks. He grabbed Weiss' leg and pulled her to the ground hard, then jumped to his feet and brought his fists down on her head in an arc. "Don't start a fight you can't finish, especially with a king," he said in a very condescending manner.

*Weiss managed to block his attack.*

"I should say the same to you.*

*She gripped his arms and thrust her feet upward into his stomach, knocking him back. She then jumped to her feet.*

"But I guess you are pretty tough. Maybe I will go all out on you."

*She dropped her fighting pose and stood still, the light aura condensing around her. Her black hair started turning white. Her gauntlets took a much more dangerous appearance. She then held up her hand and showed three fingers.*

"I got you for three minutes."

*She then dashed towards Arthur, her speed even higher than before, and struck him in the head so hard that his helmet cracked. She launched another similar attack at his stomach as soon as the previous attack had connected, launching him to the wall of the dome. She dashed forward again and grabbed him, tossing him to the ground and slamming another powerful blow into his head.*

"Come on. A King getting tossed around like a wet rag? I don't remember King Arthur ever experiencing that. Are you sure you really are him?"

The man finally felt pain, although it wasn't physical pain, it was mental pain. The images returned to his head, and new ones appeared as well. There were soldiers taking someone. "Get out of my head you foul sorceress!" he screamed, grabbing Weiss' fist and squeezing until he heard a crack. He then threw her into the ceiling of the dome. As she fell, he jumped into the air and kneed her stomach, then flipped them around so he brought her head first into the ground.

*When Weiss hit the roof of the dome, she created a bond between herself and it. As they plummeted, the bond hit its limit and wrenched her free of Arthur's grasp, as Arthur fell, she gathered up the light of the dome, causing it to dissipate, and she gathered it into her fist. She plunged down on Arthur and plunged her fist into him, sending them boosting down to the ground at a high speed and impacting with force enough to crack the pavement. She stood up and stepped back examining her hand that Arthur had grabbed,  she sighed as she noticed the crack had come from the gauntlet and not her bones, but the shards of the broken gauntlet had cut her hand up a bit. She kept her eye on Arthur as she reformed her gauntlet. Her time was running out, and fast.*

"Such an obvious fake. Look at the destruction you caused. You've hurt a lot of people today. King Arthur was not a man that hurt innocent people."
