Don't ask this happened because I think I take weird head-cannons as a challenge, but one of them resulted in this sad/bittersweet "what-if" from a potential Sonic/Highlander one where Tails' adoptive mother is an immortal.

It's only like a 2,000 word one-shot, but I actually almost made MYSELF cry as I was writing it.
