Some Crystal Pony DNA in a Regular Pony

Have any of you wondered if there were some ponies in Equestria that are actually part crystal pony? You know, before the King Sombra outbreak, maybe a few crystal ponies were outside the empire when it happened, and when the kingdom disappeared, only a few crystal ponies remained, and after all those centuries with no Crystal Empire, their shininess begins to short out and after having regular Equestrian ponies as spouses, no mere pony was seen with a crystal coat, that is, unless they are recharged with the heart, after the decedents of those escaped crystal ponies returned to the empire and find out they're part crystal pony in their DNA, do you think something like this possible? Maybe meet with their distant crystal pony ancestors while they were at it?

Think about it. What if one of the Mane Six characters all this time was part crystal pony because of their ancestry? What if Pinkie Pie was actually part crystal pony? It would actually explain the hair. Pinkie's coat gets darker and her mane deflates when she's sad, so do the crystal ponies. If Pinkie is happy and full of love, her hair inflates and her coat lights up. It makes perfect sense! Same goes with Maud Pie. Look at her eyes, and look at a crystal pony's eyes. Don't they look similar? Would the writers make an episode about this? Who knows? Who... *flicks nose* ...knows? It would make a pretty interesting story! Perhaps if the writers decide to make seasons focusing on one Mane Six character that's not Twilight, that might make a possible story!

if i remember correctly Cadance is a distant relative of the crystal empires first queen

Well that's a good point, but she's a princess, I'm talking about a regular crystal pony who's probably not around now during the time.

My theory is that the crystal ponies are simply earth ponies inundated with latent magics of the region that cause their glimmering coats, and attunement to all things crystal related.

I don't see where that theory came from. Yes, before Sombra's mess, the ruler of the empire was an unicorn named Amore, but that's not evidence enough Cadance descends from her.

I don't rule out the possibility of some crystal ponies avoiding Sombra's imprisonment, and it's possible there are some ponies descending from them outside of the empire. As stated above, I doubt Maud's eyes are a coincidence

AKR was asked if Amore was an ancestor of Cadance, and she said she thought of her as a "very distant relative".

For a little while (just a matter of days) I was waving around the idea that this meant she was the closest living relative and rightful heir to the Crystal Empire's throne, but I quit on that because even though I wanted it to be true, I realized all along it probably wasn't actually the intention.

I reckon the "very distant relative" thing actually refers to a familial connection so remote and vague that they might as well not be related at all, and was probably just a flimsy justification for their similarities. (The actual reason for said similarities being, of course, that AKR seems to have had a major "history repeating" theme running through the whole Journal of the Two Sisters)
