"I cant believe there using us like this" Jade said to the rest of the group as they walked throw the city gates, unable to return until there job was done "I still feel sorry for pretty much getting us all into this, I need to do more background research when I'm getting these jobs" he said fully knowing that he couldn't actually find anything about there target before they killed him. "anyway the king said we have to go to the edge of the kingdom to the place that insane inventor is, that means throw these woods first" he lead the group as he walked away

Sheera looked at the vast wilderness before her. Her bow strapped across her back she was ready for the long journey ahead of her. She had recently been traveling with these companions for a while and already she was getting used to them. Even though they weren't her family she still felt a close connection to them all. There was Jade their guide who had a knack for getting them into trouble, Goraxan the strong Dragon like warrior who's intelligence would help them along the journey and of course Christine the cheerful bubble of energy, often times reminding Sheera of her own daughter she once lost. The woods looked deep but to her they were not menacing they were welcoming. She smiled at her guide Jade with laughter in her voice. "We must do what the King wishes for us to do." Even though her mouth was turned upwards her eyes were cold and said otherwise about her feelings towards the kingdom.

"yeah of course" Jade sighed "you know that there's a new land that got discovered, they say there isn't a monarchy there...well not yet but I'm sure someone will rise up to power, just like this king" he smirked "I wouldn't mind going there after were done with this, it is only to the east of the kingdom after a boat ride" Jade said as he started walking with the others "it should take about 6 days if we walk" Jade started to ponder for a second "I hope this 'insane inventor' is how the king says he is, at any rate we should be careful not to run into anything bad"

"I will make sure that we do not my friend. Forests are a part of my blood. They all become home to me. If needed I will hunt for our dinner for tonight when you and the others desire me to. Tell me Jade, what do you know of this strange inventor? What makes him so strange?" (( sometimes I don't get the reply to rps unless you mention me so just do that from now on so I won't accidentally forget to post thanks ))

"well from what I was told he made machines that could walk and do things all by there own, that and apparently they were sent to the king, he didn't say they ever attacked him but there were quite a few guards with burns on them in the infirmary I passed going to the throne" Jack explained

"Hmm sounds like these machines could be a big problem for the kingdom in the future. Especially if more were to be built. I'm not really one to understand the workings of such equipment that you call technology. As long as I have my bow and my blades I can survive. But please lead on my friend. We must get to this inventor."

"exactly what I was going to do" he said walking again with the others not noticing the small camera bot in the trees "you know I don't know why your not getting with the new tech, I mean I have two enchanted fire pistols" he said upholstering a pistol to look at it "it doesn't even need ammo but I respect your decision, I mean it does need to recharge with magic every so often"

"My people have always been connected with nature. To use Technology would feel very backhanded against the very nature of our existence. My crossbow I don't even like to use unless the need arises. Technology has its uses." With the blink of an eye Sheera grabbed her bow and released an arrow upon the unsuspecting camera bot. "But I have mine" she said with her smile.

at the tower of the inventor "how did she see it?! I programed it to be stealthy" she said worried

 

"nice, however this inventor is wants to make sure that he/she isn't going to be hunted down" Jade said watching the bot hit the ground "I'm going to take it for parts" he said picking it up then started moving again

Goraxan walked nearby, away from the group. He still didn't trust the two humans that walked with them, they haven't proven themselves yet. Goraxan grunted in response to the human speaking of their mission. He didn't know why he was here in the first place. One day he found himself in the King's dungeon wasting away, the next he was given back his equipment and offered a job for his freedom. Unfortunately, it meant he had to work with a couple humans...

 

Upon hearing about the about the burn victims, Goraxan gave a small laugh. "Humans are so weak toward flames. Dragonborn are not weak to fire. What machine could possibly hurt me if the only thing they can do is burn me?"

 

Hearing about the ammo that the human complained about, Goraxan commented on the subject, "I don't need to reload my broadsword. It will work every time I draw it."

 

Goraxan never noticed the camera until the elf destroyed it with her bow. He grimaced at the elf, for she had impressed him. "I would have never caught on to that, good job elf."

Christine was walking behind everyone. Her upbeat happy personality was gone, it was replaced with a frown. She looked down at her sniper, the weapon she has murdered everything with. Kings, rich buisnessmen, other soldiers you mention it!. That's why people only know her as Deathmark. She sighed. She saw the camera bot, and was about to shoot it, but the elf beat her to it. She lowered her weapon, and began walking with the group. So whats the mission?" Asked Deathmark

Sheera smiled as she watched Jade pick apart the camera bot that she had shot down. Looking behind her she saw the other two companions on the journey with her. "Please friends come closer to us. Perhaps you would all enjoy it if I hunted us so dinner for tonight? I'm quite sure you would enjoy venison Goraxan." Sheera restrung her bow that had gotten loose from shooting her arrow.

"I don't remember the last time I had venison was, probably because I didn't need to have any in the city" Jade said the rest of the group hearing the response Goraxan said about Jades guns needing to be charged "like you don't have to sharpen it and keep it in good condition all the time for it to ready for battle" he turned to 'Deathmark' "yes please come closer, I never have any fun without you" he said with a smile "oh and are mission I guess is supposed to be killing an 'insane' inventor

"Perhaps that settles it then. I will go off and fetch our meal for the evening while you settle camp tonight." With that Sheera headed off into the woods on her own. She wanted to be fast however and swift so using her long legs she strode deeper into the forest barely making a sound. She had not gotten farther than at least a mile until she saw her prize. A young buck grazing in the open. Silently she hid in the shadows. Pulling out an arrow delicately from her pack and placing it upon the bow. Her eyes trained and fixed on the buck until swoosh, the release of the arrow. It was quick and painless. Sheera walked to the animal and bent downwards in prayer for the creature. Her kind always praised their fellow animals. To take a life without praying to it was just not right, especially when it came to hunting for a meal. Sheera sniffed the air around her. Something wasn't right with these woods. The woods should be brimming with more animals yet it was much to quite for her liking. This inventor must have done something to these woods to turn them dark. Quickly Sheera slung the carcass over her back and started heading back to the group.

"better get to work on my new machine" she said watching throw another camera bot that she personally hid this time then walked away from her monitor. she had imbedded the bot into the ground near the forest slightly away from the clearing. a bunny saw it and ran away from the medium size red eyed camera bot

 

"I got the fire" he said picking up a few stones and setting them in a circle

"Venison will do quite nicely. Any meat is always good," Goraxan replied to the elf as she headed off into the forest. The others seemed to be getting ready to make camp, but everyone seemed to have all the major duties taken care of including the guard duty, Goraxan's favorite. One duty was still not taken care of however. 

 

"I will pitch the tents," Goraxan said to the two humans. He gathered their tents and began setting them up. Goraxan may not enjoy doing some work for these humans, but for this task assigned to him by the King, he may have to set aside those differences for his freedom.

Deathmark cocked her head "An insane inventor that's a first for sure" said Death with a sigh. She shook her head "I wish that i didn't become a mercenary in the first place. I might be damn good at my job, but it haunts me to think that this weapon has killed ALOT of living thinking beings" she wiped a tear away, and fixed her hair " sorry about that, and what fun are you talking about?" Asked Death adopting a smile

Jade started getting branches from the trees near the camp "well I never thought of you as this 'dangerous psycho' even when you said that you were a almost laughed my self to death, then I saw your weapon and I remembered being at the barrel of that weapon, well maybe not but I was at the barrel of a rifle like that before" Jade explained as he placed the wood inside the circle then lighted it with his gun, it was to close to make a noise though. "I don't know ever since you joined me I liked you, not just in looks mind you"

Sheera arrived with the carcass of the deer on her shoulders just as the rest of the group were finished setting up. "This place has a dark feel to it. One that I do not trust nor like. My kind are used to the roaming animals of the woods, this place however feels empty and tainted. I suggest the sooner we finish this quest the better. I have the venison here, perhaps you would like to gut this Goraxan."

Deathmark lifted an eyebrow "Oh? You have liked me? I didn't know that a battle hardened mercenary could 'like' people" She slung her rifle on the back "So what did you like about little old me? I bet that it's only the looks even though you disspelled that " Said Deathmark with smile

"I like your sass that you give me when I say stuff like that" Jade thought about the whole hardened mercenary thing "I cant have emotions? then what in the world are you doing even caring about what I said" he smiled giving the same sass back to her.

 

three horses started nearing the camp "I cant believe that we have to do the kings dirty work" the leader said then looked ahead to see the group "wait it that Jade?" he got a wicked smile on his face making there horses go faster

Ugh, this bickering among these humans annoys me. Goraxan finished pitching one of the tents by the time the elf arrived with a fresh kill. He had smelt her coming before she showed up, and it was intoxicating. It reminded him of the time as a child before his home was destroyed. When his father would come back with a fresh kill to feed the family and he would help his mother gut it. 

 

Goraxan was broken out of his nostalgia by the elf's offer to gut the deer. "I will gut it elf, it reminds me of the old days..."

Horses were heard in the distance. Goraxan stood up and readied himself for company. "We have company. Unknown if hostile," he snarled.

Sheera looked up. Goraxan was right. Men were arriving on horses. "Jade my friend we have company. Do you have a plan for us? I hope this will not lead to violence." As she was saying this she pulled back her cloak to reveal the small throwing knife attached to her thigh.

the horses got to the camp then stopped "Jade what are you doing here?" "going to stop you right there, how in the world would thief's like you be able to get out of the kings dungeon?" "he let us out if we did him a favor" "oh no..." "is it the same reason why your out here?" he asked but Jade just stood there getting ready for what ever was going to happen "of course were not going to kill you or anything, it would be to easy, why don't we make this a race to that tower?" "I think I won't accept" "stands to reason, you were always a runner not a fighter" he tried to intimidate Jade to make him accept "you know whether you accept or not, we will get there first and get are freedom, so do what you do and run"

"Please there is no need for violence friend. Perhaps you would care to sit in our group and enjoy this fine venison. We were released from the dungeons to set out on a quest for the king himself. Perhaps you would be willing to let us continue on with this task." Sheera still had her dagger slightly out but not enough for the kings men to see.
