private Lost in Discords Funhouse

Day? Night? What was it? Nopony could tell...because it was Discord's word. He sat by the entrance to his Fun House awaiting the six ponies that received his invitation. He had opened up a portal in a specific part of the Everfree, that only the six ponies chosen knew how to get to.

"better be what he promised in this letter and not some trap" Emerald said walking throw the ever free "left, right, strait, see that log at the side of the trail and..." she looked behind some bushes that covered a slightly glowing portal "I didn't think I would see that...its right where it says the gems would be...yep I think this is a trap" she said to herself then thought a bit "screw it I'm not doing anything right now, a good fight would be great...I bet I could send Jade something" she enters the portal

Madness walked through the forest. Every once in awhile, he saw rustling in bushes, as he passed, but nothing came out. When he the portal, he smiled and said,

 

"Well here's where it supposed to be. I'm going to rest for a few minutes."

 

He walked to a tree, then he made a bed out of sticks, leaves and, vines, between two branches, and took a nap

Crescent looked at the clock on his wall, it was time to see discord. How he got the invite was still an mystery towards crescent as he doesn't write much to anypony if at all. Flying out of his tree house he scanned the Forrest for his "portal". Crescent only herd of portals in story so he was an bit nervous, which was kick away with the burning questions he had about and for discord.

 

He found the tree as the letter described to look for, landing gently he saw the portal like it being a door in the tree breathing an breath he realized he was holding he said "All right discord lets see how these games play", gauntlet at the ready he stepped through

What started out as a business trip to Ponyville turned into a strange form of respite as the white-collar stallion, Refund Check, ventured toward the entrance of the Everfree Forest. He took a moment to study the map the draconequus had sent, with the invitation promising him a deal he could not refuse, and compared it to the makeup of the forest. He never was much of a woodspony, having grown up in the city, but Discord's directions were, though peculiar, on point.

 

He jerked his head enough to see a bat pony making his way toward the portal he matched to the map and increased his pace, mindful of his gimpy right hind leg. "I wonder what kind of deal this Discord fellow is meaning to strike," he said to himself as he saw the bat pony enter. He stopped at the entrance, took a deep breath and walked through.

As Dapper wondered through the Everfree Forest he wondered why Discord had chosen to send him, out of all ponies, an invitation. Was it because Dapper was a Llama? Was it because he was different and Discord liked different? Dapper shook his head. He was overthinking it, the invitations were probably just random. He soon reached at the edge of the portal, "Into the rabbit hole I go," said Dapper as he jumped into the portal.

"Hmm... take three rights, take two lefts, go by six creepy trees, then turn around and your there! Well that was easy enough!" She said with a big grin. "I wonder what kind of fun games we're going to play! La la la la la" she was singing stepping through the portal.

Madness woke up to see the last person walk through the portal. He said, as he disassemble his bed and grab his cloak,

 

Well I guess that was the last one. I should be going through the portal.

 

He walked through the portal, while pulling his hood over his head

Discord looked out his window to see the six ponies being spit out of the portal one by one. "Ah...here they are...let's see how they will pass the first test..." Discord snickered. He then teleported outside and appeared in front of the six ponies. "Welcome welcome! I am so glad you made it...as you may know...I brought you here...for fun...and a test...a test to see how well you can work together...a test to see how strong your friendship really is..." Discord said with a small snicker.

madness lowered his hood down, so nose and mouth was visible, and said, with a sigh,

 

"So you are discord, first of all, we just walked through a portal, so we came here, second, what is so funny, and last but not least, when are we going to get the show on the road."

"you said gems would be here and what I see are not gems...then again if the tests are exciting then I can forgive you" Emerald said while looking around "hm this place looks like chaos alright but I just want to ask you this one thing, you do know none of us have met before and if they did meet me they would not be on good ground with me" she didn't explain on purpose "so what about you guys?" she looks at the five others

Madness turned to the pony, and smiled, showing all his pointy teeth, then said, 

 

"Well, I just got a letter that said there was going to be some puzzles, and I just love puzzles. It's fun watching others get lost in mazes, but it's much funner to see them race against the clock

"Ah...see that's where the challenge lies. I want to see how quickly you can bond together and see that this "Magic of Friendship" a pony named Twilight Sparkle speaks of is in everypony..." Discord stated eying the mare who had said she was promised gems. "So...it looks like everypony's here..." Discord stated.

"sooo...you want randomly picked ponies with many different personality's and backgrounds to somehow become friends over a test, like a puzzle" Emerald said trying to clarify "I don't like puzzles though, can we do a race or fight instead, I heard what power you can do and know you can do it" she said then started thinking...what if these ponies don't like how I am just because I steal, crap I sound like Jade now, thanks a bunch bro

Crescent after hearing everypony speak up he noticed the number right away"I'm still trying to figer how in Luna's mane did you find me when I don't write to anypony" he said to discord. Turning towards Emerald "don't worry about the ground if you could call it that" said crescent trying to make sense of his surondings

"Oh, come on! Let's at least try and be friends here plus with the looks of... COTTON CANDY CLOUDS!" she said running tward the cotton candy cloud. Then after she got some cotton candy she came back to finish her sentence "as I was saying... with the looks of things around here it looks like we're going to have a bast with these puzzles, or at least I will! La! la! la! la! la!" She was singing while hoping up and down

"I agree with the earth pony," said Dapper pointing to the pony hoping up and down, "if we have be friends to solve these puzzles we should at least be friendly about it." Dapper grinned, "I'll go first. My name is Dapper Charmer and I am a llama. Hey that rymed. I'm a poet and I didn't know it."

Madness Cloud looked at the llama, sighed, then said, with his cloak still covering him,

 

"Well, I'm Madness Cloud, I'm an alicorn, I like to solve puzzles, I'm older than I look and the rest is ancient history."

 

Then he grinned and said,

 

"When are we going to solve the puzzles."

Discord waited and watched as the ponies had a bit of an awkward start. Because he was reformed, he dared not to interfere things with his magic. Besides, with Twilight being able to sense disharmony now, there was no way he could pull such foul tricks.

Refund's jaw dropped at the mention of this being a test and looked at the five other invitees around him. He had half a mind to ask Discord how these strangers could be his friends when he barely even met them but held it back when he remembered the letter that was sent to him. "Was this the business deal you were talking about?" he asked, more surprised than angry. Discord then explained his test and how he wanted to test the power of friendship but Refund's eyes just grew wider at his plan to put it in action.

 

He then looked at the motley crew around him: another earth pony, a pegasus, an elderly alicorn, and bat pony and a llama. His hometown's population wasn't exactly homogeneous but then again neither were his clients. When the floor opened, he introduced himself. "My name is Refund Check and I'm an accountant from Bucklyn. I came here on a business trip to do the books for a few Ponyville clients when I got the invite."

"well I might as well introduce my self" she cleared her throat "my name is Shining Emerald and I..." she remembered that saying thief was a bad idea "I work with gems" is what she got out not telling the full truth but that would not help her if anyone here lived in Manehatten normally, she is wanted and there would probably be newspapers with her name in it. dame me and my gloating... it was still fun though she thought

As the others made there intros he listened towards their blood to gage them
The accountant was surprisingly steady. If he wasn't reacting to the word "puzzle" which seemed to make the blood sound faster
The alicorn even looking calm was firing with energy inside, cresent made an mentel note to be carful around him
The lama's and the cotton candy pony had near the same blood patterns of excitement, or adrenalin, cresent couldn't tell
For some reason he couldn't remember those names but
Emralds blood, was ranging from the sounds of somepony confused to trying to be carful he made an mental note to try to help her when she needed it.
 "and my names cresent like the moon, I work with the night whether pegisi above the everfree forest and ponyvill" he said

Refund listened intently as the rest of the group said their hellos. Not having much street smarts as opposed to book smarts, Shining Emerald's backing of her "occupation" flew by him. He figured his gossipy wife would know a lot more about what went on in Manehattan. Then, the nocturnal Crescent spoke of his job. Now he knew bat ponies could control weather at night, too. "So, what's our first test?" he asked.

"And my name is hydragon, I love to have fun and love to make new friends!" She said happily, and although she did not know what was going to happen or what she could do to help in these puzzles, she at lest she knew that she might end up making some new friends along the way.

"Business deal...what is that Refund pony talking about...well...I've got something in store for him...if he thinks he could use his tactics to escape my funhouse, then he's in for a big challenge..." Discord thought to himself as he disappeared with a hoof. Suddenly, walls started dropping from somewhere, forming a large house, surrounding the ponies.
