Something about his method of speaking seems out of place, much like his eyes. Almost as though he knows too much, and the way he said "this world" seems a bit off.

I look into the nearby mirror, and barely manage to stifle a gasp. I'M A KID! I guess that explains her reaction... I hope I can still save it... She thought I merely bumped my head... Let's see here... I'm in a school? Hmm... Perhaps I can play the mysterious transfer student? I suppose I'll have to hold off on the dimensional talk... And figure out why I'm a kid, now... I guess I'll just "sleep it off", and act as though a transfer student with memory problems... I'll put that plan into action after a bit of rest... I think to myself, ready to rest, getting some of my magic back. Sombra forbid anypony finds out that I'm a Prince from another Crystal Empire!

as soon as Banner left Everest sprung to life. "You know Everest that filly was nice, i just hope she isn't mean like Nightshade." Scare Said to the stone figurine.

 

"Don't worry she isn't anything like Nightshade, so stop worrying about that."" Said a voice in her head.

 

"Your right Everest as always." Scare said with a smile. "Now help me unpack." Everest let out a sigh and began helping the filly unpack.

Flamestreak squinted a bit and realized nopony was there. "What I swear I just saw a pony fall an.." Flame looked back up and Saw the two ponies that were talking to him were now gone. "I might have a doctor check me out, I think I'm seeing things." He said bewildered at the disappearances.

cresent poked him with his wing "no you just need some pasta bud, might help make sense of things. Flame Strike right?" cresent asked the pony trying to remember the colts name. It had been two weeks and he hadn't made a friend yet, better start now then later he presumed

I sleep soundly, whimpering during the dreams. When the whimpering becomes sobbing, I wake, about an four hours after. My magic has returned to me. My form, however, is still that of a colt. While no pony is watching, I test my abilities, transforming as a changeling might, in a flash of green flame. I shift back. Then, I turn into a thing of shadow, my eyes glowing with dark magic, witnessed, this time, by whomever peeks into the room. I quickly turn back, into a grey colt, face emotionless. I fake a yawn, as though I've just awoken, and put a sleepy cast to my eyes.

"Where am I? ... Is anypony there?" I ask, sounding sincerely troubled, the restless form turning worried.

Banner questioned as she saw the little foal change then he asked the questions "its just me I wanted to know if you were ok since...you know the whole burned thing, don't tell Posey I was here, she'll seperate me from ponies for sure" she didn't want to add that she didn't want to part ways with Scare as it would be made fun of by the other kids "I'll just go, ok? have a nice rest...foal" she didn't even know that his real name was Marion as she left going down the stairs and back into her room to see the stone figure alive, helping Scare "weird stuff is happening here"

I nod, accepting the words, carefully, letting my expression become less frightened. I get up, and leave the bed, mostly healed, thanks to my odd biology. Perhaps I should explore my new habitat... It might not be long before things go weird... They ALWAYS do... Last time, there was a WAR... Who knows?
"Maybe this time, it'll be completely normal!" I exclaim, not realising I said it aloud.

Posey was in her room looking at a picture of six ponies in battle armor standing in front of a massive golden door. She focused on two earth ponies one yellow the other grey. Then she began to cry.

"I don't know a lot about magic but I think this is probably not normal, like that kid I helped when he-" she was cut off by the words said the floor above, right over Scare and Banner "I don't think things are how they should be" she looks at Everest then touches him hoping nothing like exploding would happen "what is this thing made out of?"

I blush, realising my mistake. Perhaps I should be more focued on keeping up my persona. The individual who looked in certainly saw my secret... I'l have to deal with her, later... Should the opportunity present itself... Perhaps, I should pull an Everest... That might work... No, the whole "Child" persona doesn't fit that... Perhaps, I can pull the "Gulgamesh"? Yes... It might work BETTER, actually... How should I introduce myself... I'm in a school... I think... Maybe; I'll have to adapt parts of the "Neighborhood"... That would do... My normally expressionless face becomes a devilish smile. I walk into a class room, prepared to introduce myself as a timid young colt, in a new town.

Flame had saw the brohoof from crescent he accepted it and Brohoof'd him back."Ah cresent I like that name, Also your a bat pony right? I don't see many in equestria I usually see them hiding out in the everfree forest. Is that where most batponies live or do they live all over equestria like other ponies?" He said curiously

I sneak around, listening in on the conversations. I catch mention of the bat pony, and become shadows, to listen in, unperturbed. A batpony, eh? It's been awhile since I've encountered one... Not since the 89th Invasion of Nightmare Moon... Maybe I should just listen in, see shat needs to be done... I drift off, spreading myself throughout the house, so I can monitor everything, feeding off the hatred and fear I encounter along the way.

Scare jumped when she heard Banner speak to her. "Oh Banner I didn't see you there." Scare said looking at Banner then when Banner touched Everest his eyes glowed brightly and he grabbed Banner. but before he could hurt her Scare yelled something in a strange language after which Everest put Banner down and his eyes ceased to glow as he fell onto the floor motionless. "Sorry he gets startled easily he really is nice." Scare let out a sigh,"I guess you probably hate me or scared of me or think of me as a freak." Scare then left the room before Banner could respond.leaving the cottage as well heading into Nightmare forest. but she bumped into Posey who was covered in dirt.

"What are you doing out here Scare it is dangerous here at night." Posey asked.

The manticore watched the mare and the filly speak. it was about to pounce but stopped when it saw the filly.Is that an Efficio i thought they were all gone but me this presents a unique opportunity for me, see you soon my dear little filly i will be seeing you real soon.

Banner said watching her leave "ok little buddy, don't hurt me because I'm scares friend, probably turned off though" she said picking up Everest and heading out the cottage "Scare wait! Your not a freak or anything" she yells going up to Posey and Scare "that and you kind of left your friend in there" she shows Scare Everest then looks at Posey "what happened to you? Looks like you were in a fight or dug a grave" this was all different than normal which got Banner a little, pumped as maybe she could do something now like the characters in her books. What character would I be? she asked herself before listening to the others answers

I continue leeching the little bits of fear I can from everyone, regaining my strength. The little jolt from Everest feeds me well enough, that I can start using magic again. I reform on the couch, and lay down, continuing to rest for the night.

I should be back at full power by tomorrow... Even quicker if these children have nightmares... Just hope the draining isn't obvious... They SHOULD wake up a bit happier, but less energetic... So, I'm practically doing everypony here a favor; making these foals happy, and making work easier for whomever runs this orphanage...

"Banner I need you two to head back inside there is something sinister stalking around out here now go inside i need to make sure you Fillies are safe." Posey said completely ignoring Banner's question.

Scare was silent she thought she heard something else. "okay ms.Posey we will head inside." She said before she nudged Banner toward the cottage.

As the two Fillies left her Posey moved her hoof to reveal a small gemstone.

Moonridge was on his way back with Posey bag that he used to get things from town for her. he landed out side the cottage he knock on the door 3 times like all ways before he open it

 

(Moonridge think) man i a bit late getting back this bag not the lightest thing for a young dragon (who is smaller then her only up to half her neck a good head and nick shorter then her)

"That's racist..." I mutter, my accute hearing picking up the spoken word, while trying desperately to get some rest.

Why do some ponies have to keep others up at night? This is the time for sleep, hunting, and theft! Not discussion of racial comparison! If I could feed off of my own hatred, I'd be full right now! I think to myself, fuming about the insensitive remark, not actually directed at myself.
