Mesme Rize 15,687 September 30, 2015 Share September 30, 2015 I've never complained about her lack of flaws. She's had flaws since day 1 https://mlpforums.com/topic/137782-do-twilights-short-sighted-magical-solutions-worry-anyone-else/ That being just one of them. Seriously, i don't wanna say that your hate for Twilight is unhealthy, since we all have our opinions. But you should settle down a bit, because it's a bit over the top. It's just a show after all. 1 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. CaptainDoubloon 856 September 30, 2015 Share September 30, 2015 (edited) I personally have a small issue with the map. It doesn't make any sense to me because in a land as big as equestria, I find it hard to believe that friendship problems seem to happen one at a time. Does Twilight really have to wait around until a big enough problem gets her attention? There must be small problems happening all over the place and how does the map decide which ones are important enough? Would you even like them? It's just that you're very emotional about this subject, eventhough all we want to have here, is a friendly and neutral discussion. With you, it seems like you feel actual hate for Twilight. 2 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. Cleverclover 1,526 September 30, 2015 Share September 30, 2015 Honestly is sounds like you're far against "princess" twilight. Because I want her to actually stop complaining about having nothing to do and actually do something constructive with the title that has been gifted upon her? None of them really leave their castle from what we've seen before. The difference is that the other alicorns are actually ruling their own kingdoms. Twilight isn't. So she has had a subconscious understanding that as a princess she should always remain in her castle or nearby so she is where everyone knows where she is. What if there is an emergency she is needed for but she's out at Sweet Apple Acres so no pony can find her until the issue has progressed too far. That certainly didn't seem to bother her when she went to Canterlot for three days in Amending Fences, did it? Yeah, that's because this is a complete non-issue.

Especially since I've invested so much time in it, it makes me that much more exasperated and emotional. I don't want to feel like it all was a waste of time and emotional investment. I WANT twi to get further development, and I'm miffed because she's (and some others) just NOT. I don't hate Twi, but I'm just about there. There are cute parts of her, but it's hardly enough to cancel out the standstill, sometimes backpedaling character development I feel she's been writtn into. It's nice that you are invested in it and all that stuff. But you have to realize, that at the end of the day, it's just a show, nothing that you should revolve your life around. It's always fun to discuss these things, as long as we don't get too overly emotional about it, be it through somebodys opinion that you agree or not agree with, or be it through a character that you incredibly like or dislike. We do this, because we have fun here and because we like a good discussion. 1 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. DJW 142 September 30, 2015 Share September 30, 2015 Remember that there is a difference between a lack of gratitude and a perceived lack of gratitude. Without delving into too much psychoanalysis (that I am more than likely ill-equipped to genuinely espouse), many introverts find offering heart-felt thanks awkward, especially if it is for something 'small'. It frequently feels like praising for something that is to be expected (and thus would be a condescending act) or an over-the-top congratulation, which to them feels insincere. This places them in a perceived Catch-22; too much praise and you are a patronising arse, too little and you are an ungrateful git.
Grtxkkyz 388 October 2, 2015 Share October 2, 2015 Twilight: "Gee, it sure is boring around here" Celestia: "Twi, Mah girl, this peace is what all true princesses strive for!" Twilight: "I just wonder what Starlight's up to!" Jokes aside, Maybe Twilight isn't still fully used to her status as an alicorn. Back before her transformation, sure, she still went on adventures, fought monsters and villains with her friends by her side and studied, read and learned about friendship each day, but did not have to deal with politics or diplomacy. Now that she's a princess, she still spends time with her companions and has adventures but I guess it can be kinda tedious for her to work with certain royal responsibilities. Not to mention that she's the princess of friendship and truly wants to carry on her role and mission, yet the map didn't allow her to come to Griffonstone and Manehattan, which surely is a frustrating experience. However, she doesn't need the map at all to solve those issues, as she successfully made amends with Moondancer. Maybe, this will be a plot point for the finale, but who knows. 1 My Dragon Cave scroll: http://dragcave.net/user/Dino-Mario
