So the creatures kidnap and imprison a princess and cause havoc..and the ponies should be like "its ok they need it"

 

Nah they handled it well. They blasted them off the land as it should of happened. I hope they blast them off again if those creatures return.

 

Next time try looking for easier prey!

Eh, I prefer they stay evil.

 

Save the "We have to do bad things to survive, but feel really bad about it" to some overwrought anime that wants to be complicated, complex, and confusing.

 

Though I wish they'd played a more prominent role. Just think of the story potential of having a team of evil shape shifters around!

But I have my doubts since they were originally going to make Celestia a Queen instead of a Princess but decided not to because of how Queens are typically Evil in fairy tales whereas Princesses are typically good in fairy tales.

 

Except Tirek's mother managed to be a good queen in FIENDship #2:

 

 

However, Chrysalis is definitely bad -- she often shows unnecessary sadism that goes far beyond just trying to feed her people:

I suppose it's like mosquitoes. They're a nuisance to us yet they need to drink blood to birth their young. We would appear cruel kill them when they try to suck our blood but we do it anyway and don't care because our comfort is more important than a bunch of mosquitoes.
