Have you ever noticed ponification romance doesn't seem very popular?

Have you ever noticed ponification romance fan fiction doesn't seem very popular? (Even hated quite a bit in some cases) As in a human turned pony story and human romances say Princess Celestia, Applejack or some other pony.

 

But it doesn't seem to get that much attention. It seems more people would rather the human remain human and have romance with a pony.  

 

Why do you think that is?

 

Before you say HIE romance isn't  popular: One word: Xenophilia. Which has a massive amounts of views and likes on fimfiction.

I guess people want the human to remain human for some reason.

I think people are more against self-inserts, and human->pony+pony tends to be a self-insert more than human+pony does.

Nope -- part of the wishing exercise is being turned into a pony in said self-inserts.
