critique wanted First time drawing a pony

I never have drawn a pony before but for Christmas I am making my friends art and drew @Silver stream. her OC, however I was wondering what I could improve on.

I am used to lineless vector art but have been dipping my feet into non-vector artwork however lines are something I am still iffy on so did not use them.

I must say, it looks awesome for your first time! The only thing I would change are the houses.

If I had to choose between saving myself and saving others,

                                                            I would save both.   :comeatus:

Pretty sweet if you ask me. Keep practicing. I know non-vector art is tricky, I'm still learning myself. :)

It looks really nice, especially for someone new at non-vector art. :) If you want anatomy tips, I can help.

Are you going for the show's style, or your own style? If it's the show's, then I think the body should be shortened. When I first started drawing ponies, I was really surprised at how tiny the bodies really are; it takes some getting used to. If you're going for your own style, I suggest lengthening the neck. Since you've lengthened the body, it feels more proportional to do the same to the neck as well. The legs as well. I guess aim for something in-between normal pony and alicorn pony.

Or, when in doubt, study real life horse anatomy and simplify it! :kindness:

As a lot of people are saying, really good for your first time drawing a pony, also, the background does seem a bit off.

There's not much you can do (imo) except study anatomy and practice and practice. Eventually, your drawings will start looking better and better.

Keep up da' hella good work!

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how'd you get the lights in the sky?
