"Ya know that there's a tavern, nearby. I'll pay for it to say sorry for getting you two almost killed. Name's Shadow. What's yours? I'm guessing you're a mage and a swordsman."

i follow behind them waiting to be noticed. Hey" I mutter hoping one of them would turn around. I check my sonic screwdriver to se if i am invisible and if they are even there. After realizing that i am rally there i look back up at them.

"I'm so sorry about getting in the way Mr Shadow. But that's all I have on me except my clothes and weapon." Sparkle said taking a peep at her hp "that's all I have. No healing items either. Brilliant and here I was going to buy a new sword. 'Yay' spending my money healing" She began to trot slowly alongside Dark keeping an eye on her hp.

Shade silently watches as everypony fights monsters, hiding behind a bush.
"What a madness, heheh, don't you think so, Shady?" - he whispers to himself.
"It truly is. Just look at how they slaughtered those monsters! Think we should check those corpses? Me neither"

"What's this one doing, huh? Trying to be sneaky, hehe? That's my job". Shade laughs silently.

After struggling for a bit, he decides to follow the ponies to town on a safe distance, trying not to get noticed.
"Let's see what they're up to"

Appear over her "I think I killed some more bores back there from my fire...and my health is full now" She looked at Shimmer "Don't worry, I bet the tavern will have some healing items. I mean this is an RPG right?" She smiles

Shadow brought up the menu and said, 

"I could pay for healing items, just have to sell some of my items." 

He walked up to a vendor and sold bones, skins,  and tusks.

Shadow turned his head and said, as he pulled out a long sword,

He walked to passed them and said, "What do you two want. State your business."

Hi i'm the doctor. I mean you no harm i'm just here to help please dont kill me" i cower. not wanting to die  i pull out my sonic screwdriver and scan him. hoping it would cause a distraction. I look up at him. with pleading eyes. I scan the group around him hoping he would understand i mean no harm.

"Well seems like we have a Si-fi fan and a player thinking he can be an NPC. Just wanted to tell you that random NPCs that do nothing won't be in the game since its an MMO in beta" Dim says knowing that there was no other NPC in the town that did not give a quest or sell something "Also you know that a normal screwdriver won't do anything to us" She says turning to the cowering pony.

Shadow walked past doctor and placed the sword up to the one that's pretending to be an npc neck and that he was level 5 already. Then he said as he pushed it a little deeper into the neck, "Now state your business, or be prepared to start over. I don't care if I get in trouble or not"

Shade quickly backsteps, pulls out his curving knife and blocks Shadow's sword with it. His face is crossed with a wide smile.
"Hehe... what do we have here... smarty one and a violent one. That's going to be fun"
Shade jumps further backwards and hides his knife.
"Well, if you want it to be that way... Name is Shade Rover. Just another tester. Not very nice to meet you, heheh."

i stare in aw at the ponies. "its a sonic screwdriver. Thank you very much.:" i watch as Shadow drives the sword into the NPC. I stand up straight and brush the dust off my blue old style short dress. i look up at the ponies trying to be friendly or as much as i could be. I sat and wondered where i was since no one has answered my question yet. But then again my question is yet to be asked.

Shadow laughed and said as he put the sword away,

"You don't look that tough, I bet I can beat you easily. No weapons, just my claws."

He lifted his front and showed that he had five metal claws on both of his hooves. Then he took off his cloak, his metal wings open up to their full extent.

"So want to challenge me, or are you weak as you look."

i look at shadow and laugh at the weakling pony he is attacking. I look back at shadow " Hey why dont you pick on a pony your own size for once" I advance towards shadow. and p ull out my screwdrive trying to figure out who he is and what race he is. while still woundering where am i?

Shadow grabbed his knife  and threw it at Doctor. 

"Why don't ya try to actually fight then point a screwdriver at us. I fought a giant gorilla, I took multiple enemies out at once. So you think you're powerful enough for me."

He walked over to his jacket, stood on his hind leg, and slipped it on

i use my screwdriver to scan his knife. oh its not even titanium what a shame" I cirle around him and draw my sword it is beautiful and long and engraved with gallefreyian symbols. i draw it towards his neck and fix my scarf. " Do you really want to mess with me i am an alien after all" I snicker.

Shadow sighed, spun around and grabbed the blade. He said, as he pulled out a dagger and placed it up against the neck,

"I don't care that you're an alien, I will kill ya and take this weapon. Attacking an opponent with their back turned is for the weak."

He released the weapon, put his dagger away and walked off to the tavern

i follow him not knowing why i stood up to him considering it is in my best interest to not be against the people who could potentially keep me alive." i though to my self. i look at him and flatten down my dress not knowing why he spared my life. i whisper thank you to him.

Enzo banged his nervegear with a hoof, the console still on his head.

"Maybe the washing machine is taking up this... Inter-net" Khris, Enzo's talking sword 'helpfully' chipped in.

 

"That's.... not a bad idea, actually", admitted Enzo. "Now that I think about it, it really makes sense. I mean, the washing machine is high tech, and this is high tech too, right?"

 

"Yes, yes.." Answered Khris, "I suppose we should turn off our toaster too, right?"

 

Enzo nodded in agreement and unplugged said devices, leaving several pairs of dirty socks and a piece of bread forever dirty/untoasted.

 

He went back to his room, and tried connecting to the server again.

 

"It's still not working", Enzo complained.

 

"Yeah, maybe we should go to the living room, the potted plants in there can produce internet just like they do oxygen." Khris snarked.

 

Impressed by Khris's 'knowledge', the stag headed over to the living room.

 

"Oh, I forgot to mention, you'd be closer to the router too. Maybe that will help"

 

Shrugging, Enzo lay down on his couch and put on his nervegear.

 

"Hey, Khris. Is our mindlink ready?"

 

"Affirmative"

 

"Then let's do this"

 

Enzo shut his eyes.

 

"Link Start!"

Enzo shook his head, finding himself lying sideways on the ground. He slowly got up, dusting himself off. He looked up, quickly regretting his decision as he was nearly blinded by the sun.

 

Yeah, I'm in all right

 

Enzo got up, and wandered around, observing his surroundings.

 

"Eh, I give these graphics a solid 5/7"

 

He turned to his side, where he noticed that his starting sword had automatically equipped.

 

"Khris, you there?"

 

Voice slightly glitchy, Khris somehow managed to reply. "Yes. I also appear to be possessing your sword. Maybe I'm listed as an enchantment?"

 

Enzo frowned. "No idea, and I don't have any idea how to check, either". The stag sighed.

 

"Ah well, I see a town in the distance, I'll head over there and meet the other beta testers, whatever that means."

 

He began to walk, step by step. It was a weird sensation, it felt alien, yet familiar at the same time. He felt a different amount of strain than he would if he walked in real life.

 

'Um, Enzo? Look down. You're uh... moonwalking'

 

Confused, the white furred pony looked down. To his surprise, although his hooves seemed to be sliding across the ground, he wasn't moving.

 

"Wha- what's happen-"

 

Suddenly, Enzo lurched forward at an incredible speed and and teleported, slamming into the wall of one of the the town's buildings.

 

"Oww.. Hey, actually, that didn't hurt at-"

 

The stag was suddenly sent hurling backwards, teleporting and spazzing out all over the place. He eventually came to a stop, at the same place where he started.

 

"Ok, spit it out Khris, what is happening this time?" Enzo demanded, not daring to move.

 

"Umm, partner? I think we have a problem." Khris half whispered, absolute terror in his voice. "You have 600 ping. You are lagging"

Dim walks into the tavern thinking about all of what happened and about Shadow how seemed to just seemed to threaten those ponies "So what was with the hostility? I mean I know some ponies can be bad but we can't say for sure from a few seconds after meeting somepony...also I don't fully get those ponies either" Dim looked around the tavern "Well, I guess it really doesn't matter does it? I mean now I'm friends with a guy how killed a gorilla, with a scythe"

Shadow said as he sat down, 

"Let just say I have experience and RPGs aren't for the weak. All I did was ask, Shade started it with trying to be an npc, which made him more suspicious including trailing us. Do you want a drink?"

Shadow opened the menu and placed weapons on the table.

"Pick what weapon you want, I have an assortment of weapons."

Crystalline huffed as she finished another quest. "Who knew pig-slaying would be such a bother?" She picked up a pebble. "I wonder if this would be any use...." She took the pebble up in her magic and threw it as hard as she could at a pig nearby. It bounced off the pig harmlessly. She sighed. "I should have known that wouldn't work."

 

Crystalline took out her dual daggers and waited for the boar to charge her. When it got close she leapt over it and landed on it's back. She stabbed a dagger into it's back and it recoiled. She jumped off and readied her other dagger. As the pig charged again she stepped to the side and slashed at it, killing it, but not before the pig smashed into her leg. She watched her life guage lower a bit lower than she'd like. "Needed to go back anyways."

As she walked back towards town, Crystalline watched as a grey pony with antlers was sliding across the ground.

 

"Do... you need help there?" she asked him.

Stormlight wanted to explore more of the virtual world, immersing herself further into how the game functions.

 

She thinks to herself, checking what she has on her as of now. If I remember what he told me, as well as what I've heard from a few ponies...I should have a starting weapon to help me until I manage to find something more powerful,

 

A sword, kind of weak, though it would have to do for now for a beginning weapon. Storm knew there would be a few other ponies around testing the game too, but she felt better to go alone, until she's used to how the game works and has the knowledge of what she's supposed to do.

 

Out in the distance, Stormlight sees harmless brown cow with several white spots staining its coat. With her sword ready, she unfolds her wings, preparing to storms to the animal, attempting to slash at it.

The echoing, ethereal voice of Khris responded to Crystalline. "Yeah if you could tell Cancast to get their shit together, that'd be great".

 

Enzo did a backflip and started walking upside down. Multiple copies of his sword spawned around him and immediately disappeared.

 

"Really should have invested in celestia fibre"
