Emerald sat down in despair,  with a near whisper quiet voice, "i'm going to die...3rd time's the charm." emerald began to cry.

Saturn looked at Emerald "I would tell you it is not truth, but I will not lie. We all must die someday, but would you rather die here, or die fighting and spend the afterlife without suffering in Elysium?" He said to her. He patted her head and said "Don't you want to go down in history and have your name sung by many after you? Don't you want to forget this life of suffering and live forever with your ancestors? Or will you lie here and cry because of the inevitable?" He asked. He was just repeating somethings he said over a thousand years ago, before he had died.

Emerald got up tears still down her face, "you're promises are really good but alas you must deal with the other me, when we go back I'll leave you all now. Enjoy the last moments of my life alone." Emerald started to walk off....

"I'm guessing a poison that could kill alicorns is beyond your capability, and what's with these animals."

A shadow tentacle wrapped around Emerald body. Shadow said,

"Emerald, you basically know a lot about Nightmare. so you could be helpful with info."

"as for your question, she is very paranoid, and though she doesn't show it she jumps at almost everything, that also brings a thought to my head I read a book the title or subject eludes me, but there is somthing under Nightmare, inside her somepony that was once a good pony maybe you can bring that part out of her who knows what might happen."

The Lightbearer spoke again, anger creeping into her voice, "What you're going to need to do, is cut her legs out from underneath her, not literally. Her funds. Cause chaos. Harmony is off in that land until Nightmare Moon is dead. And the pony you speak of, Emerald, was known as Princess Luna. I once knew her. " the Lightbearer, took a breath to calm down.

 

"As for you Emerald. I don't kill off my operatives. Ever heard of a Wraith? I don't really as of the moment because our time here is running out. But as for the wraith, well... there is a reason I'm called Hellbringer." The Lightbearer charged up her horn, and then a complex series of motes appeared, bathing everypony in a purple light. After the spell finished, Emerald's wingtips were black. "You're a wraith now. Unkillable."

I know what the Nightmare will do, she will erase your memories of this and return you to your previous state, torture into oblivion, and resurrect you. I'm fully aware of what she will do. That's why the rest are going to being taking care of some other... things. Moonflame, do you have the runes ready? Now all of you shall return. I'm sorry Emerald."

 

Worlds faded and overlapped. Then Nightmare Moon stood above you. "Follow me." She said, anger evident.

Shadow reached into a portal and pulled a bottle, then he gulped the whole thing down. He said as he got up,

"Hey, Nightmare, or should I call you Luna. I  think that's a good name for you. It makes you sound weak. Which you are weak, pitiful, backstabbing, shall I continue Luna."

Emerald felt what pleasant emotion she had fade as she came back to reality, within a few moments all memory of what had taken place was gone, apart from a small degree of doubt she was unsure where that had come from.

 

Emerald was walking behind Midnight, she knew what was going to occur a very unpleasant amount of unspecified time, first she'll do it to ease her own rage and hatred then do it for fun, until she gets bored of it the amount of time was unknown but it was going to be long this time and very painful she was in total terror but this was her life now. The blob was gone she had lost it and she was going to pay the price again...

"Emerald" a faint voice whispered, seemingly from nowhere, "This is wrong. You are a pegasus! Not a thrall of her!" The voice seemed to quiet down. And then Nightmare Moon started to speak, "a failure, so many times I give you chances, and you screw them up."

 

The voice spoke again, "She lies! You were set up for failure, don't listen to her! She's an idiot!"

 

The Nightmare continued, "Well a couple days in the dungeon this time I think will solve the problem.

Emerald stopped, "what are these voices in my head?" Emerald shook her head then banged it a few times with her hoof, to NIghtmare's confusion. Emerald looked up at her she was expecting and answer, "I...I don't know what is wrong your Highness maybe I have concussion."

Saturn looked around for a moment, trying to get his bindings. He had no memory of what happened, but he knew something was missing. He hit his chest and said "Can't this sigil give me my missing memory?" The sigil grew red and hurt him, so he stopped hitting his own chest. It was one of the safe guards the witch put on him when he was once a thrall, to prevent him from trying to kill himself.

Nightmare Moon glanced back at Emerald, "Who are you speaking to? I hear nothing? Wait..." The Nightmare searched Emerald's eyes. "You've seen hope? Where, you've been here the entire time... Where have you been welp!?" The Nightmare said the last words slowly with a dreadful malice.

"Sir! I need help! The barn set ablaze and my momma is still inside! Please!" Said a little filly with a apple red mane, her flank still blank. She was an earth pony, and a warm yellow one with a deep appleloosan accent.

Emeralds ears went back and she knelt in front of her, "no where you Highness, I don't remember anything, apart from the blob escaping and you then appearing." Emerald then made the kneel into a grovling bow. "I haven't seen hope i'd remember that...Night...Mare, I'm sorry please have mercy on you captain."

Yes lie to her tell her you know nothing of what she means, but I don't get out of my head! That is not going to happen.

Shadow shook his head and looked around and didn't see Nightmare. He muttered to himself, 

"must have imagined it. now I need to figure out what to do." 

He looked around and saw a bunny next to him, he said as he stood up, 

"Shoo, I don't have time for ya."

It looked at him and hopped away.

He thought for a moment 'Why would help a savage... they are the reason I'm dead.' He looked at the filly. "After what your kind did to me, No. Be gone savage, I will not tell you again." He said before turning his head away from the filly. He began to walk away. He then felt a horrible feeling in his chest.... but ignored it.

Nightmare Moon eyes became slits as she looked at Emerald. "Follow now, and if you make any noise, I'll finally use the bloodreaver." She headed down a side stair to the torture chamber.

"Good, the world will be better off without you savages..." He said before continuing to walk away. The feeling in his chest left and he chose a direction and started to walk. It would take him somewhere, He may even find nightmare... and then rip that witch's heart out for betraying him!

"I'm so glad I found out how to do this," the Lightbearer muttered, mostly to herself. She teleported into a large dusty room with sheets over anything. "Time to get things moving." She pulled of the sheet covering the table, and saw the large map of Equestria, though not quite the same as she had last seen it. The map didn't show the Slant, but the Moonverse (Current Universe you guys are in) instead. The Lightbearer flicked her horn and set a beacon for her operatives. "Only they will see it during the evening, useful." The Lightbearer smiled slightly, before starting to clean up five smashed stone chairs. "What a mess."

"Other than the bunny, I haven't seen any living creatures. It feels like a ghost town here or maybe a ghost forest."

He stopped and said as he leaned against a tree with his wings wrapped around himself,

Then Fluttershy appeared, "I was asked to give you these saddle bags, and for two thousand bits," Fluttershy tossed a bag to Shadow, afraid to get near, "deliver them to a Professor Twilight Sparkle, or better known as 'Professor Dusk'." Then Fluttershy sadly placed the saddlebags down, and bolted into Everfree.
