movies/tv Thoughts On Monster High?

So whenever I hit up the store and I go buy the holiday cards, the school supplies or the toys, I see lots of monster high stuff. My mom likes it. I got her some of the figurines and art books. I admit the figurines are well articulated and the concepts are unique. I also am aware that it has it's own TV show. 

 

We've all probably first heard of it with the inevitable comparisons to Equestria Girls. But to those that have or seen the merch, what do you think about Monster High. And for those that've seen the show/movies, what do you think about it? Any good? Recommend it? Or are the movies the one thing Equestria Girls does better than Monster High?

First off, the body molds look horribly disfigured.  There backs are bent strangely and they all have permanent high heel feet.  That's what made me dislike them at first.

 

But, I've heard the dolls are much higher quality than Equestria Girls.  They all have articulated limbs, for one thing.  I think the character designs and outfits do look beautiful.

 

I've seen all the Monster High movies and they fluctuate in quality.  But, I think the characters are always interesting and enjoyable.  I would recommend it if you're interested in monster girls, like animated movies (even though the quality can be not the best at times), or just like shows/movies with a heavily female cast. The best one is probably Boo York, Boo York.  But, then I've always prefered musicals.  The first movie is New Ghoul @ School, I think.  There are lots of shorts that you can watch to dip your toes in the Monster High waters.

 

So, I'm not about to join the Monster High fandom, but I don't dislike it anymore.  I think it has a lot of cool aspects and I can definitely see why it is popular.

I've never shown any interest in it. I remember when it first came out I didn't show any interest in it. I remember watching two episodes of the old bratz show when I was a kid (said episodes I watched whilst yelling at the TV about how awful it is and to turn on sonic X). The monster high thing just looks like more ugly dolls to me (I've never liked dolls). Is there actually an adult fanbase of adults who are not nostalgic for bratz who like monster high?

Well I like MH, I collect them, but not all of it, just the ones that I like, like Spectra Vondergeist or Catrine DeMew. I also watch their movies and also their webisodes.

I love Monster High <3 I have a bunch of the dolls and...I believe I have all of the movies. Boo York and 13 Wishes are my favorite movies.
