Jade tried to look into the corner where the shadows had moved, but could see nothing. In fact, no form of reply came back at all. No breathing, no flurry of hooves, nothing. Just the gentle whistle of the wind above her. 

 

Being incredibly careful, she steadily put one hoof in front of the other and eased her way towards the corner. Jade couldn't help but cringe at times. The stone flooring meant stealth wasn't exactly an option with her hooves clopping loudly despite her best attempts to be careful. She rolled her eyes and continued, aiming her gun directly towards the corner. Hopefully she'd catch any attacker off guard, or at least, stop them from making any brash decisions.

 

However, her vision gradually adjusted to the darkness and she lowered her gun in shock. Before her was a pony, unicorn it seemed, practically frozen up against the cold stone wall. Jade looked down and could see the remnants of some sort of ice block that now lay in pieces at her hooves. Further intrigued, she took a few hoofsteps further. The pony was definitely a unicorn, a light blue coat and a white mane and tail. He didn't seem to be much of a threat...but how he got here at all was puzzling her anyway.

 

Well, she wouldn't get any answers out of him standing around.

 

She holstered her weapon and grabbed the pony, trying to see if he was conscious. "Hey blue guy, you awake in there?"

Scarlett walked along the ceiling right above Jade until she suddenly drew her weapon. After a moment she realised that it was not aimed at her, but instead the corner that Jade had seen something in before. She could tell the pony below was trying to keep quiet, but hooves on stone floors were not quiet. Thankfully her suit masked small sounds like that.

 

Once her eyes had adjusted she saw what Jade must have seen. A mint blue pony with a pure white mane and tail, that was standing completely still against the wall. Almost like he was frozen. Then Jade asked the question of the hour, and Scarlett stopped moving.

As the magic faded Snowflake's body began to slowly work again, but only his ears and brain... Snowflake heard hoofsteps and voices, and tried to move, but he couldn't. His only sence that worked was sound, and that was slightly muffled. He then realized he's still frozen, a week must of passed by or so, and it must of been his allies trying to save him. When he felt the block get touched he opened his eye and tried to stare at the pony on the other side, but couldn't see well through the ice.

Cloudsdale mechanic station

 

Rosie had recently been promoted to head of engineering at the ground level (Meaning settlements and such), she was glad but no matter how many promotions she got it wasn't going to be enough. Large oil stains tainted her mane and coat, she'd been working on her motorcycle for days now. It'd taken a serious beating on her last supply run, "Damn watchdogs just had to be there didn't they?". She sighed and carefully inspected her work, "No, no, This isn't gonna do....". The bike was nearly prestine, but in her eyes that wasn't enough, It wasn't Perfect. 

 

 

The screech of speakers overpowered the radio playing in the corner, "​All ground units get ready to be down in 10.". Rosie laid a hoof on her precious bike, "Guess I'm gonna have to roll without you this time pal." she said before grabbing her rifle and saddlebag.

 

She walked up to a desk with a red maned mare behind it, the mare seemingly ignored Rosie for a few seconds, "Aren'tcha gonna clean that pretty face of yours up?". Rosie looked at the mare with a slightly irritated look, "Just give me the orders Yen." "Fine". The mare named Yen handed Rosie a few papers with she instantly took and started reading, "Baltimare eh?". "On it." "Just come back in one piece now, don't you dare waste those looks of yours." Yen said with a slightly provoking tone, "Whatever" Rosie answered as she went to exit the station.

"Well, looks like you are awake." Jade remarked, feeling slightly uncomfortable at seeing the one eye staring back at her. "Now...what to do with you." He didn't seem too hostile, but still, it was a little unnerving to find a living pony encased in an ice block whatsoever. Creepy. "Not entirely sure what you'd be worth- Watchdogs are always out for extra workers though, and you got a bit of muscle on you. It would be a waste just to leave you here to die." She chewed on the thought for a second though. She was the first pony crazy enough to lead a team this far out into the wilderness as it was. Nopony would really care if she had to leave some stranger behind to save on the load they would already be carrying. 

 

It must have been two or three minutes before she came to a decision. She clasped her hooves around the pony and began the slow descent back through the building. The rest of the trip's been practically fruitless, Jade thought, Might as well have something to show. It took some effort, but with some loud thuds and grunting, she got the pony down the stairs, in the hopes that Switchblade would be back soon.

Snowflake then realized these weren't his allies, they would of freed him by now. it must of been the Equestrian Army, or Bounty Hunters. Snowflake needed to escape his ice block, but he still couldn't move. He then knew his only way out was a spell so he tried to focus despite the constant jerk, and tug at the block.

"Hey, Switchblade! Look what I found!" She dumped the pony in front of her, inspecting him once more. Very intriguing...such unique marks and clothing...Thought swarmed through her head like an angry hornets nest but she tried to stave off any opinions until the other scavengers were here. Sure enough, Switchblade returned quickly, carrying with him a few pieces of metal and what appeared to be potions or something. His face had the same look of surprise that she had when she had found him. "Think we might get a good price for him?"

Scarlett may have just been an observer this entire time, and was not on either side. But the Jade pony was talking about selling another pony. This was considered wrong in many times and universes. She silently cast a small heating spell, which began to melt the ice holding the pony captive without giving away her position.

In Baltimare: Alamo continued to walk around the empty high rise, he wasn't a smart pony like some of the rebels here, coming from the wasteland, joining the rebels after being attacked by a group of Watchdog ponies for having, a shiny metal block, didn't know what it was, but he thought it was interesting, and yet for it he was attacked and left for dead, but when a small group rebels found and helped him, he knew he had to return the favor. Now here he is in the ruins of Baltimare, heading back to the drier part thankfully, tho what they're going back for, he has no idea.

Scarlett smirked I didn't even fall of the ceiling this time. I can finally run multiple spells at once again!

She had been facing the other way so had to spin around as quickly as possible, simultaneously bringing out her gun for a second time to train on the stranger. "Who are we?" Jade couldn't help but laugh. Was he for real? "I think the real question is who you are, actually. You're currently on Watchdog territory, and quite an isolated bit of it too. You're lucky I'm kind enough to not have shot you already."

 

Scarlett cringed at the statement that is was Watchdog territory. They hadn't even claimed it yes! If nobody ever came out here, and nobody had ever come out here, that was a lie. Her gravity spell faltered a moment and she cringed. She used to be very adept with magic. Though skills do tend to get rusty after a few decades of no use.

"Watchdogs?!?... you fool! do you know who I'am, or where you stand?!? This is Fort Elise, the home of the Shadow Lurkers, and I'am Snowflake Frostflame one of the greatest assassins, and spell casters in Equestria!" a few popping noises could be heard from Snowflake as his bones unstiffened.

 

"Snowflake...snowflake...wait a second?" Her curious muttering quickly turned to laughter. "You can't be serious? Ha! Please, that tales just old history. I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but this 'Snowflake Frostflame' you claim to be was killed over 1000 years ago!" She took an intimidating step forward. "Just drop the act. I'm not going to hurt you if you just co-operate."

Equestria hasn't even had a military in eons...in fact, there's barely been an Equestria at all for pony's sake!" She was beginning to wonder why she was even talking to this delusional unicorn. Perhaps he was just buying time, but she remembered Switchblade was standing guard behind her which gave her some comfort.

Scarlett sat down on her little area of the roof and watched what was going on before. She didn't remember much about the Shadow Lurkers but she knew how overconfident they were. Two overconfident ponies arguing, this should be good. If she could materialise popcorn in front of her, she'd be eating it.

 

"Snowflake...snowflake...wait a second?" Her curious muttering quickly turned to laughter. "You can't be serious? Ha! Please, that tales just old history. I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but this 'Snowflake Frostflame' you claim to be was killed over 1000 years ago!" She took an intimidating step forward. "Just drop the act. I'm not going to hurt you if you just co-operate."

 

Oh you have no idea what time likes to do to ponies

 

"What in the name of Tartus are you talking about!" Snowflake managed to get up "Old history? 1000 years? I don't know what your going on about, but if you aren't a Shadowlurker or Equestrian Military then you must be a bounty hunter!" Snowflake said in a rather angered tone

 

He honestly believes that he's still in his time. Scarlett wanted to speak out but needed to stay hidden.

 

"Bounty Hunter? Equestrian Military? Ha!" Jade couldn't stop laughing at this point. This pony was insane. "What century are you living in? Equestria hasn't even had a military in eons...in fact, there's barely been an Equestria at all for pony's sake!" She was beginning to wonder why she was even talking to this delusional unicorn. Perhaps he was just buying time, but she remembered Switchblade was standing guard behind her which gave her some comfort.

 

I hope I never have to explain myself to this pony. I don't think she could handle multiple instances of timetravel

"Ugh, why do you have to be such a nuisance?" She groaned, rolling her eyes. "Should've just left you frozen in the room upstairs. And a sword? Really? You think you're still in your own age, and yet we clearly come armed with weaponry that your swords cant possibly hope to fight against!" She turned to the unicorn with fire in her eyes and a devilish smirk across her lips. She knew the sword was so old it would break, even if he did try to use it on her or Switchblade. "So I'd recommend not making an idiot of yourself 'oh great and powerful Shadow Lurker'."

"One minute and 26 seconds remain" Snowflake then realized his legendary sword was missing and was instead a rusty sword "what is this who stole my sword! Wait a minute this is Shadow Steel... that's impossible Shadow Steel takes decades to rust" Snowflake notices the Shadowlurker insignia engraved on the hilt, he dropped the blade in realization of what happened "This isn't my sword, but something has happened..."

I think you might be able to understand when's a good time to attack or not." She smirked.

I love how they call it shadow steel when it's pretty much just enchanted metal. People love to be special snowflakes.

Scarlett was glad when Jade holstered her weapon. She had considered jumping down upon the word time and make a pun or something, but she didn't feel like it. Maybe, she wouldn't ever have to reveal herself.

"What the-" Both Watchdogs aimed their weapons directly at the voice. As they turned, they got their first glimpse of a pony hanging to the roof. It was fascinatingly creepy. "Another one! How many damn ponies are we going to find up here? This was meant to be a simply job! Simple! And now I've got two strangers on my hooves that are just a pain in my flank!" She groaned. The last few weeks had taken their toll on Jade, and a simple run gone wrong really didn't help things.

Scarlett sniggered a little. "Oh I've been following you for weeks, Jade. And also, just a little note. Don't bother pointing your weapons at me. First of all they are pretty inefficient and secondly I could teleport out of here faster than you can pull the trigger. No betting though. You never really know what will happen." Me most of all...
