movies/tv How do mixed-gender dorm rooms work in RWBY?

I'm talking about the dorm rooms that the teams sleep in, how do mixed-gender teams work sharing a room wise?

 

Because wouldn't it be kind of awkward, do they have separate bathrooms or do they openly get changed in front of each other? Team RWBY I can understand because they are all girls but Team JNPR is mixed...

 

Surely a school wouldn't mix females with males in the same room?

I think they have a shared bathroom, even if it's not connected to the dorm itself.

 

Plus remember the teams are expected to be paired with one another on kind of a really long term. Team STRQ were all adults and two of them were with child by the time they essentially dissolved and they only did so because one member went missing and the other was confirmed KIA. (And the latter even was even re-married and had another kid with her teammate!)

 

So I think it's pretty clear the school wants to facilitate a "you're stuck with each other, better get used to one another" sort of deal.
