Miles away somewhere in Ponyville

 

A pony in a dark robe with the hood covering its face entered a dark room with only one candle light giving it a shadowy glow to the room. The clocked pony threw a bag of bits onto the table looking at dark heart “I’m told you’re a good investment” the clocked pony said which then laid out two photos of two pony's.

 

 The first was a bat pony with a grey coat and orange mane “this is you primary target, he needs to die. He was lucky to get out of that fire if it wasn’t for his damn brother, and the mare” continued the clocked pony “is his disgusting mare friend, I think we don’t need that vamp making more if you catch my meaning. It would be a bonus of 500 more if she dies to”

 

The clocked pony looked at the other pony in the room waiting for a response.

Darkhaert breathed, he kept his hood on, no need to reveal his face to those who could possibly turn on him. "Hunters can't catch a newb and a recluse? Huh, they're in deeper trouble than most think." The armor clad pegasus leaned over the table. "I think I've seen the mare around Ponyville, I've heard of the stallion. Said to be in Everfree. Am I incorrect in this thought? Or do I need to spell it out for you in idiotnese?" Façade leaned back.

"Then I gusse you don't need any business. and you are correct on the location of these two, I think at least on that freaks bit, in the bag is 500 bits already, they will leave for manity sometime tomorrow night or so via boat. Tickets are also in the bag. I want there ears as proof of there deaths. ill be waiting at the Tails Inn for your return in Manity”

 

With that the clocked pony left the room and paused before leaving “I don’t need to say don’t cross me, it would be very unwise of you to refuse my gift” with that he made his way out of the tavern

"I'll get your job done, and it isn't wise to threaten me," Darkhaert's eyes started to glow orange as he got upset. He stood up, and began to exit the building. He grabbed his bag, which was by the door, and then took to the skies. Straight for Ponyville.

"what do you mean you don't know what cake she likes, she's been here before with you and you still don't remember what cake she likes?!" said the pink mare

 

"pinki that was 3 months ago and for her sisters party its kind of hard to make cakes in the Forrest" said cresent smiling

 

"oh you can bake any where all you need is.." she began

 

cresent felt a song about to happen and cut to the chase "listen pinke, I trust you seriously but just brainstorm on it for a bit and I'll get back to you in a week"

 

"a week?" the pink earth pony blinked a bit "oky doky loky cres ill drum up such the thing for you and emeralds anniversary eeee!"

 

Cresent laughed and made his way out "I know you will pinke good luck" he closed the door behind him and breathed out. who knew shopping for emerald would wind him....or it was just talking to pinki pie...he shrugged and made his way back to emeralds house thinking up supper plans for when she would get back

Summer stopped and thought, "um she likes citrus in general like lemon tarts, but after that strawberry then vanilla she hates chocolate. I was going to cook dinner too, she's stuck on guard duty for some reason, so I was going to but by all means please you do it I have been told about that pasta you cook she says it's unbelievably good." 

 

They continued to Emerald's and Sapphire's house, they walked in Sapphire was asleep on the couch.

@, with sapphire asleep on the couch cresent and summer quietly moved to the kitchen out of ear shot of the sleeping mare. once in the kitchen the two ponys soon busyed themselves in the kitchen with pasta making "well chocklet is out of the picture then kind of surpsing on that bit" he said starting the water and pulling out the pasta from the cabnit

"We don't really have to be quite Sapphire's just got off her long shift you'd need a cannon to wake her up. So how's the trip to Manity coming along then?" Summer was busily moving about the kitchen and do all sorts of odds and ends for the prep work of the meal. "Emerald hasn't had any problems in the time she's turned?"

(Hey, I'm back)

 

Façade had been flying a good while now, but his destination was still a ways away. The pegasus spotted an empty field and landed, it was unlikely anypony saw him, but rather be safe than sorry. Façade pulled a telescope out of his satchel, and extended it. He saw Ponyville. "Wow, has that place changed." No doubt he would look odd in his nicked and ragged armor coming to a place filled with ponies. After putting up his telescope, Façade tied his hair up into a small ponytail, and then quickly pulled on his hood. First thing things first. Get friendly with the locals. As friendly as he could. After a Nap. "Ah yes, Ponies just love me. Mr. Dark and Menacing." Façade decided to take a hour nap, and then head out to Ponyville. If he pushed to hard, he would end up sick. So a little rest and relaxation was due. Façade pulled out a blanket to lay on and some headphones out of his bag. One of his more expensive acquiries, but it helped him settle down after hard travel. Façade pulled back his hood, and put on the headphones. Soon Façade was snoring. Hopefully nopony would notice him. He didn't notice the purple tree castle behind him however.

"She's been fine apart from last week there was a close call, it was not her fault but she managed to hold herself, just she was up at Sweet Apple Acres doing so weather work for Big Mac and one of the other farmhooves hurt himself  when he cut his leg she nearly fed on him it was close but apart from that she's fine, she visited the farmhoof the next day with a massive thanks basket and well there ok now." Summer now started on setting the table, then looked at the clock, "it's quarter to six she'll be home soon."

"but that will be fixed soon, do me a favor if she comes soon stall her for a wee bit. got to add the finshing touches on it." said cresent thinking on the pasta and the trip up ahead of them.

"Ugh," Façade woke up, a bit groggy, and blinked. "Need a new blanket. Ugh. So this couple is supposed to go to Manity? Need be able to follow them, huh, how to manage that." Façade sat there going over his options while picking and cleaning up his things, "Well, how about heading to a local gathering place and finding out the latest talk of the town, of course don't need the armor..." Façade pulled off most of his armor, but kept the gauntlets and greaves on. He kept his knives, and one of his swords as well. He stowed the rest by a rather large rock he had found. It had all his things, including the bounty in it. Pulling on his worn tan hood. Façade headed towards town, much lighter now, and arrived at the outskirts. He jumped onto a cottage, and then snuck across a line of buildings towards town square. While this was something Façade normally wouldn't do, he was happy to do it. He spotted a place called Sugar Cube Corner, and decided to give the place a check out. He landed in a side alley, and went into the bakery mostly unnoticed. Façade walked up to the counter and saw a bubbly pink mare. 'Oh sweet Lunacy' Façade thought.

 

"Hiya, I'm Pinkie Pie, and I'm the chef/baker today—" Façade interrupted before this got out of hoof. "I'll just take a coffee, black."

 

"No sugar? Nothing sweet? Nothing to make it more interes—" Façade interrupted the Pinkie Pie again.

 

"I like it bitter, like my soul" Façade snarked at the pink pony, irritation glowing yellow in his eyes. The pony tried to say something else, but he just growled and sat down in the corner. That shut the pony up. She got him his coffee and then she left the building, no doubt to cry or something equally dramatic. Façade just pulled his hood more over his face, and sat in the corner of the room, sipping the bitterness.

Emerald was at attation standing at the main doors when Pinkie rushed to her, "Emerald, Emerald there is a mean pony in my shop and he won't have any sugar!"

"Fine it's basically six anyway." The two of them made there way back to Sugarcube and entered, "which one is he?"

"that one!" she pointed to Facade, then stayed behind Emerald, they walked up to him.

"You there, Pinkie tells me you were rude to her I don't take kindly to that in my town. explain yourself."

"Have you heard of good customer service, Captain? Part of it I believe is not having you ear drums assaulted. " Façade then remembered the picture. Alright, so where's the other... Façade kept his hood on so the guard wouldn't see his face. He stood up. "Captain, if this is how you treat outsiders, it's a wonder this town is growing at all. And if you try to arrest me, well, I'm armed." Façade gestured to the knives at his shoulder, and then left a twenty bit tip, and dumped what was left of the coffee in the trash. "Good day." Façade headed outside, and then went down a side alley.

"sure." Pinkie goes and retrieves a strawberry glazed doughnut and gives it to her.

"Well if he comes back you come see me again, I'll be off home now, Twilight had be on duty today for some reason. See you later." with that Emerald left on her way home, taking a few bites from her doughnut as she went.

Façade had heard some stories about Vampires, they weren't good stories to speak of. He quickly found Emerald, and trailed her. He stopped at several vendor's carts, examining wares and the like. He noticed Emerald was eating a donut. "Not just a blood diet. Huh," Façade pulled out a notepad and scribbled that down. "She might be able to sense me... Like those vampires down in Las Pegasus I've heard about." Façade remembered a tip he had gotten from a hunter he had met, not a bad fella. "Keep calm. Slow your heartbeat." Façade took a deep breath and concentrated on peace, he felt his heartbeat slow down. "Deep breaths are the key." Slowly Façade trailed Emerald, remembering to keep calm and focus on his heartbeat. "Better safe than sorry. I'm not ending up like Jadas."

Emerald thought she heard something off, she turned to see nothing that stood out, she shrugged and got back to her home, "who is that inside, I know that sound."

Summer burst out of the front door with a slightly panicked look on her face, "um hey Em you, can't come in right now, Sapphire is sleeping."

"I know that, I live with her and set the duty roster." She tried to pass, but Summer blocked her.

"Summer! What are you doing?"

"I mean look at that sunset."

@, cresent smiled at the aroma moving into his nostrils "almost there Hun, just keep it steaming" he said turning the pasta with the spoon waiting for the right smell to tell him when to serve it. He was at the most crucial part of the recipe with his family pasta mix. one it hit him he called out hearing emeralds blood beat by the house

 

"that's enough summer you know better then to get in her way of food" he said chuckling to himself as he got out the cider from the fridge. He also herd her sister waking up to the smell of the mix herself. He soon realized this would be the first time he made it for the girls. He knew Emerald would like it and hoped the rest of them would too

"Emerald!" as Summer struggled under her cousins minor assault, after which they walked inside to find Sapphire waking on the couch she stretched and yawned.

"what's that smell?" she said sleeply.

"Come in and find out Sapphire." As both Emerald and Summer, followed by a tired Sapphire all walked into the kitchen and sat down apart from Emerald who took off her armour and then walked over and kissed Cresent, then sat down aswell.

"all right lady I present the family pasta mix with a little touch of spice I added" cresent said poring the ladel of pasta in each mare's bowl soon placing the pot of hot pasta in the center of the table for 2nds. he kissed emerald back and sat next to her serving himself

 

"so hows it going today everypony?" he asked the group at large

Sapphire was too tired to speak so just ate, you could see she was enjoying it though. "So i don't even know yet am I coming or not?"
