Favorite Episode for each pony?

I don't know why, but simple topics like these make the best discussions imo.

 

What is your favorite episode for each of the mane 6 + Spike? They HAVE to be the center of the episode, doubles count (e.g. Sonic Rainboom is can be both Rares and RD).

 

Twilight: Twilight's Kingdom. It's a two-parter, but It's very good, and a great show of Twi's character and prowess.

 

RD: Wonderbolt Academy. She gave up on the one thing she always dreamed of, because it didn't agree with her ideals. That's incredible, and shows Rainbow isn't as egotistical as some think.

 

Pinkie Pie: Cranky Doodle was good, but I'll have to go with Party Pooped. Because we got a look at just how much Pinkie puts into her work, and isn't just a nonsensical weirdo.

 

Rarity: Made in Manehatten. My favorite Episodes are the ones where the characters don't perfectly follow their Elements. It gives them a believable character. Rarity going overboard, and only later realizing what she had done to her friends was excellent.

 

Spike: Inspiration Manifestation. Really the only good Spike Episode by default. But it was very good in it's own right.

 

Fluttershy: it's not a secret that Fluttershy is my least favorite pony, so I chose an episode where she acted exaxtly the opposite. This episode was "Putting your Hoof Down". It had a pretty good plot, with the "villian", not actually being the bad guy, as well as a part where I couldn't help but go "oooooooooh, got em!" (You know the part)

 

Applejack: Last, but certainly not least, my favorite Applejack episode, as well as my favorite in the series is "The Last Roundup". This episode had a perfect bridge between SoL and Adventure. It wasn't over the top action like most two-parters, but it wasn't boring a.f. friendship problems in ponyville. The ponies traveled to a new area, a rare occurence in Season 2, and there was talking and arguing SoL style, as well as Wagon chases Adventure Style. This was also an episode with the aforementioned "character not acting like their element". AJ didn't lie, but she was certainly being dishonest, and that's a flaw that makes her more believable and obviously desperate.

 

And that I Love Lucy reference!
