ooc Stranded...

ESA 5629 has been struck by a meteor sending it hurtling into an uncharted planet... luckily there happens to be enough plant life and oxygen to sustain the crew until 5629 is back in action. according to one of the maintenance staff there appears to be a large form of interference preventing any passing ships from hearing the distress call and there is no way that any crew of any ship could see them so the only solution is to hope that somewhere on this strange green rock there are parts to fix the ship or all of them could be stuck there... forever...

 

this is a basic idea that takes a group of ponies that once worked for the space company E.S.A and sticks them on a planet with limited resources. I thought this would be interesting as a normal shipwreck is to "easy" to escape but a space ship wreck? now not only are you stranded but you can't even swim away... (you could try but I doubt you'd get far...) 

 

The ship:

a standard I - 96 medium scout armed with 7 laser cannons. unlike the 97 the I -96 doesn't have escape pods due to its high reliability and reinforced titanium plating however if hitting a hard enough object (ie another I - 96 or planet)  at a fast enough speed (like above light speed [these things are FAST]) could cause fragmentation of wings, thrusters and hull and most likely separation of bridge from the hull.

what are the rules for applying?

1: keep language at a PG 13 level

2: attempt to post regularly.

3: I highly doubt anyone needs telling this but Patience people may be in other time zones and might be unable to contact you for 6 - 8 hours a day

4: have fun. if your not having fun (because I want this to be fun) then tell me and I'll attempt to sort it out 

5. please copy the link to the oc you will be using if they have a page (this isn't entirely necessary but it makes things easier)

6: oh and one last thing. please say what crew member your applying for or I'll have to place you. (and I don't like doing that)

native creatures that aren't to friendly towards ponies or any other being that is currently on the planet. Radiation exposure the sun is a lot stronger than equestria's and coupled with a weaker atmosphere turns desert environments into highly irradiated landscapes not enough to be lethal but just enough to give radiation poisoning. (strange that me Mass Fusion is talking about radiation huh?)

we will mostly be using Energy weapons (plasma rifles, plasma pistols, laser rifles, laser pistols) 

because they're cooler

Position: Hmm... Maintenance is taken. And he's the only character in my roster that would have a reason to be stranded on the planet. Well, Salleria too, I guess, but I don't think an intergalactic bounty hunter stranded on a planet would do good for the RP.

 

How about this. Second Sight crashed on the planet on his own ship 2 months before them. He sees the crash and decides to join the crew and work together in getting off the planet.

 

He'll start off with a small workshop in a cave with some scientific infrastructure and a water purifier, as well as a hovering scooter ( I'll get a reference image later ) that he made out of the parts of his own ship. He can use it to help the other ponies get around the planet faster.
