Deep Echo crossed past the gate of ECF (Equestria correctional facility) for the first time in six years. The cool morning air of early winter pierced his dark indigo fur like the icy talons of death. It was... Liberating. Floating next to him surrounded by an indigo glow was a small box containing all the things he hadn't sent home. Just filled to the brim with notebooks of his thoughts, creations, and educational notes. His mane and tail were medium length, metallic gunmetal grey and layered. Most confused him for a goth or emo in prison, labels that made him look weak, but he quickly established his willingness to do anything to not end up somepony's plaything, and that he hated all of them. He was left alone.

His silver eyes showed a glimmer of hope that the rest of his face refused to betray.

A new life. He wasn't allowed to return to Cyrene falls, he had nowhere to go there, but his uncle and aunt owned a house in ponyville that they rarely visited. He could live there. He had already sent everything he owned there. Four thousand bits was how much he was leaving with. He would cash in the check as soon as he got home.

Things would be better, he hoped. He was still young, and nopony knew about his past in ponyville.

But as time passed, word got around as he was searching for a job. He was a criminal, and the rumors of what he did were much worse than the truth, even if it was still bad. He became a shut in, just leaving his house to do what he needed to live, and he eventually got a job as a swing shift employee who retrieved and delivered food to those on the list. His cutie mark, a droplet of dark blue, outlined with silver and surrounded by rings of dark ripples didnt help, but it was an any pony job. Apple jack and Fluttershy were common, as were the Cakes. But he never spoke to them.

He realized that he had developed a pony in himself too good, because he believed the ponies on the outside were different... he didn't see it, no pony tried to converse with him, his boss just gave him bits, and even sometimes he'd hear whispers and find ponies giving him wide berth when he passed by.

He thought things would be better, but the depression he had before remained, haunting him.

Would nothing change.

As he bought food from Apple Jacks apple stand, he anticipated not likely.

Luna went into town with a list of things that they were running out of in the house. She was alone at the time, but didn't really care about it. She checked the list again, wanting to be sure that she won't forget anything. Checking her while saddle bag again, as she walked, Luna suddenly bumped into something, and fell on her butt.

He stumbled to the side as Apple jack warned, "Look out there." But it was destined to happen. He guessed that since he never had to react to other ponies anymore, he had become more oblivious to his surroundings.

He looked over to see a young pony on the ground, and instictvely approached her and held out his hoof to her, apologizing morosely, "I'm sorry." Eager to shut down this interaction before it became nasty.

"I'm fine, don't worry about it, I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going." Luna's voice sounded cold, but in a comforting way. She accepted his help, then checked to see if the items in her saddle bad was safe. "Sorry about that, it's more my fault than yours" She gave him a small smile, but a true apology.

She must've not been from around here, either that or she lived under a rock. Or he lived under the rock. Probably the latter. After her smile, which he automatically registered as spiteful, he looked down and reacted solemnly, "Yeah.. Sure." He turned to the Apple stand and let five apples float into his basket with an indigo glow and ten bits onto the stand. One granny smith, the rest red delicious.

"Are you okay, did I say something to hurt you?" Luna had a concerned look as she spoke, thinking that she did something wrong. She looked at the ground, not knowing what she did. "Sorry if I upset you somehow, I wasn't trying to." Luna apologized, hoping that would make things better.

"No, everything is fine. Everything is good." He nodded to Applejack and turned away, leaving without looking either pony in the eye. Applejack leaned over her stand and whispered to you kindly, "Don't feel bad. He's having a hard time, and is just a tough nut to crack."

"Thanks AppleJack, and good luck with selling your products today." Luna then wave bye, an headed on her way home. It was a bit far from the town, but she didn't really mind walking that much. She will just be happy to get home, and be with her "family" that she loves so much. Luna then stoped walking to check her saddle bag again, makin sure for the last time that she had everything.

She beamed, "Alrighty, have a nice day sugarcube."

Echo did not however. He was filled with a deep unrelenting disgust as he headed home. The ponies around him, they were dispicable. Recently their stabs at him had become more subtle, but he would not allow them to hurt him again.. They would never get in again.

But as he entered his home and put away his groceries he thought aloud, "I did this to myself." He didn't want to go to sleep on a bitter note, but he had no choice to do so. Work tomorrow.

Luna returned to a happy home, and put up everything that she bought. She answered many questions when she returned "Where did you go?, What are we going to eat", and a few others. She didn't mind though, and was happy to be back home. As Luna got tired, she soon went to bed.

He looked over at his bass before falling into a restless sleep, he didn't have the motivation to play.(Day two.)

"Echo! We got a shipment of flour, whole grain and white, and sugar, both brown and white going to the Cakes today. Everything is in 100 lbs crates other than the whit flour, which'll be two hundo." He put on his uniforms cap before nodding and saying, "Yep. Got it boss." His boss, a middle aged, scruffy stallion named Wheel Box, a name that he couldn't help but to smilet at said pleadingly, "I told you over and over, call me Box." As Echo turned away and Box asked, "This is a heavy load. Are you sure you got this. You've got two more loads after this."

He shouted behind him as he trotted to the warehouse, "Yep."

Luna woke up, an did her regular morning routine. She was actually feeling a bit smothered, so Luna left the house after eating breakfast. "A nice morning walk won't be to bad, I bet that they won't really mind." She spoke to herself as she walked. Luna didn't really know where she was going, but she walked around anyways. No chores, no one to worry about, and just a nice walk.

It was fairly easy, especially with the help of a coworker, a stallion named Half Ringer. Half would push the crates towards the base of his cart, where he would lift it up with his magic and position it appropriately.

After he loaded the cart and strapped himself, Ringer opened the gate and waited about five seconds until Echo had gained enough momentum to comfortably enter the road to ponyville.

Sooner than later, he was strolling the streets of ponyville and was heading for the Cakes. He looked at no pony, and spoke to nopony.

Luna didnt really know where to walk to, so she went into town. Luna didn't bring any bits, or her saddle bag, she didn't need to buy anything. She just wanted to walk around for a while, and enjoy being outside. It wasn't to bad outside, Luna could at least walk around without a harsh wind. She looked at the sky, and the clouds, it was beautiful.

He made it to the Cakes in good time and had a pleasent enough exchange before he brought all the supplies inside and then leaving with a, "Have a nice day!"

Stopped next to the door and took a drink of water from his bottle which hung off his cart when a pony registered in his mind. A pegasus.

She was walking, and he was going to take his thirty minute break in three breaks of ten, but now he was reconsidering.

"The sky is so beautiful." She whispered to herself. Luna started walking a bit more, then got an idea of here to go. It was one of her most favorite places, it was a tree close by Rarity's Boutique. "Maybe I should go and sit down for a while, it is a nice little area" she whispered to herself, and smiled.

Once he decided that he might as well just continue with his work, he strolled back to his warehouse for his next shipment. Since ignoring her if she'd seen him, while rude, was a viable plan of action. Either way, she seemed much to busy to stop for the likes of him.

"I missed this place, I can't remember the last time I wa here, maybe three or four years ago," Luna questioned herself, as happy memories returned. "Maybe I can try getting the others here more of then, but they do get pretty busy." Luna talked to herself, trying to think of what she can do.

Virtus Vermillion arrived to the pastel color town, Ponyville, roughly fifteen minutes ago. He had taken the train from Canterlot rather than by flight. The private did not want to overexert his wings since he just got back from his last mission. After being granted some time off, the young stallion decided to spent it in this town where he could meet his friends once again. Oh wait... Foresight is currently on a expedition, so he won't be here in Ponyville for a while. I just remember Eternal is also away on a task given to him by a lieutenant. So... that leaves Leon. Hopefully he won't be too busy. Ah well, I can always find something to do in Ponyville. There's never a dull moment here! Virtus thought to himself as he trotted through the gravel road wondering where to go next.

"Hey there, V.V.! It's been a while since I saw you. Where have you been? Oh, wait, you went on another superduper mission again, didn't you? I'm sure it was awesome! What was the mission? Can you tell me? Can you? Can you?! Oops, I forgot it's suppose to be top secret. Say, why don't you stop by Sugarcube Corners and I'll treat you to a welcome back cupcake? I would throw you a party right now, but I have maaaannnnny many parties to throw so you'll have to wait a few days. Oh! I'll also throw you a sorry for the late party, party! It'll be a blast! Now for that cupcake, I'm thinking red velvet with frosting, sprinkles, and a cherry on top! Oooo, I'm getting so excited just thinking about it! Stop by soon, okay? Okaygottagodon'tforgettostopbyforthecupcaketalktoyoulaterbye!" Pinkie just popped out of nowhere, as usual, and did her thing before disappearing just as fast.

Virtus could only laugh at the pink pony and her shenanigans. If anypony who could brighten up somepony's day, it would be her. Making a mental note to stop by Sugarcube Corners later, he press on, slowly walking by the Carousel Boutique. Taking a look above, he could see the clear sky, with the exception of a few clouds, and the bright sun basking everything in its warm rays. The young stallion could not help but smile as his heterochromia eyes continue to look above him, his left slowly becoming more vibrant, watching the occasional birds and pegasi fly on by. Why, he also thought he saw a famous rainbow streak for a second. Finally taking his gaze away from the sky, Virtus began thinking about what to do from this point. He thought about going near the Everfree Forest where his buddy lives, but he's probably still taking care of some weather duties. "Hm, did I send him a message telling him I would be coming here? No. Yes. Weeell... I think I did." The stallion stopped in his tracks and tapped his chin with a hoof, a brow risen as he thought about his own question.

Luna thought that she heard something, and looked around. She noticed a pony by the Boutigue.

"That's strange, is this pony to shy to enter the Boutigue?" She looked at the pony in question, and wondered why the pony was doing.

"It's not like it's any of my bussnies, what that pony does is their problem." She looked at the sky again, admiring the beauty.

The young stallion was still occupied in his thoughts of whether or not he sent his friend a letter. Truth of the matter is, Virtus rarely sends letters, let alone writes them. The only time he would even write and send something is when he's doing paperwork. Oh Celestia, how he hates paperwork. Eventually a pony not too far from him disrupted his thoughts after he saw her looking at him. With a smile plastered on his face, Virtus made his way towards the tree the mare was occupying. "Hello there, miss! Are you perhaps waiting for Generosity to return to her establishment? Maybe you're waiting for some friends, or are you just here to enjoy this beautiful day?" He asked with cheerfulness.

Echo put away his water bottle and shook off his anxiety before pulling his cart past the pegasus and then being abruptly orbited by a bouncing Pinky Pie.

"Echo, are you ready for both you welcome to ponyville and not down in the dumps anymore parties! You've been delaying them for months!!!!"

Echo, when he had moved into ponyville, knew he couldn't emotionally handle a party at the time. So he had asked for a delay. He thought Pinky was friendly, but after everypony became less friendly, her hospitality was translated in his mind to hostility.

He hated everypony now, and she was no exception. Seemingly upset he exclaimed, "Pinky, I have no time for parties, no time for myself, and no time for you! I'm working, leave me alone!" She stopped, raised her hoof to her face in a confused expression and asked, "Another delay?" He shouted back at her, "Yes!"

"You're only delaying the inevitable!" Before bouncing off.

He just wanted to make it back to the warehouse.

She didn't really sound happy, but she was enjoying the day anyways. Luna stood up, so that she could be eye level with the pony.

"Ahahaa, don't let Miss Rarity hear that, now." Vitus chuckled at her response about her not finding interest in fancy and elegant clothing. Taking a quick glance at the boutique, he could remember the time he went to order new suits only to spent half an hour standing still just waiting for the mare to take his measurements. This all happened because he made a similar comment after telling her he'll be attending some well-known pony's party in Canterlot. He could have probably escaped the lecture about fancy clothing if he had kept his mouth shut.

"Ah, how rude of me, I'm Vermillion. Virtus Vermillion. Pleasure to meet you, Miss Luna. Say, you wouldn't happen to have relations with the princess of the night, would you?" The stallion asked, carrying an curious look on his face briefly before it went back to a smile. "Of course, I'm only kidding when I ask that. I'm sure you've heard that question a lot. Anywho, you live in Ponyville, or just here for a visit? The town has gotten quite popular ever since the coronation of Princess Twilight."

"I kind I live outside of town, just a few hours away from here actually. I lived here for a very long time too. I don't really know much about the princesses, well I read about them, but I never met one. Also don't worry about asking if I'm related to the princess, it happens often." Luna found this topic interesting, and wanted to see where it would go.
