While she spoke he searched her eyes for the tiniest bit of insincerely before getting back to work. He remained silent, and even though he wanted to talk, he didn't find it easy to speak to other ponies. That and he wanted to keep his distance. A little more than an hour passed before they finished and he moved onto the next one, "This one contains fragile items."

@@Colenso Rivers,

"Well, ah guess ah gotta be extra careful then," Redwood commented.

She slowly and gently picked up one of the boxes, thinking to herself, 'Canterlot snob, not Appleoosan army girl.'

Echo had gone quiet, but he seemed like the shy type anyways. Now Redwood knew the reason he had that look in his eyes was because he had gone to jail.

They made it through the next two boxes without any hiccups or conversation, except halfway through the third container when Line Wave, an intelligent looking silver Unicorn said, "Hey, you new here, or are you lost... just kidding, everyone here is lost."

Redwood carefully set down the box she was carrying before saying to Line Wave, "Uh, no, ah ain't particularly lost. Is there somethin' ah can help you with?"

Redwood had no idea what she had meant by saying everypony was lost, and she would've preferred to just get back to work.

She kept steady at her work while she said, "well. Nopony works here if they've got their lives put together. You're either like Ringer, a has been who couldn't keep up with their passion, Echo who nopony else with hire, or I, who still haven't figured out what their special talent is...." She seemed in thought a second before adding, "Well. I guess Echo is there too."

Ah couldn't get work fer a while and mah bills were pilin' up. Ah would've turned to pit fightin' if Echo hadn't offered me this job."

@@Colenso Rivers,

Redwood ignored Line Wave for now, mostly because it wouldn't be wise to start a fight on her first day, but also because she was hungry and finally had a chance to eat. After all, the work here was hard.

"Hey, are y'all goin' anywhere fer lunch," Redwood asked Echo.

However, there was no answer from Echo, who was going through his satchel against the metal wall of the warehouse. Down seemed his favorite direction to face, until he looked up at you and asked, "You forget your lunch? Or plan on eating out?"

Echo, pay attention you dipsh**, this is your chance to get your hoof in the door. He then noticed he was just silently looking at her and his mind panicked, oh my Celestia Echo, what are you doing, say something! He opened his mouth, tried to come up with a coherent answer and came up with this mess, "Uh, I wri... um, coo... um sure?" He closed his satchel and got up. His heart exploding from the shear embarrassment he felt.

Missklang was sitting under the tree for four hours. It was abnormally long for his taste but he was too lazy to interact with the world. Nothing happened for the whole two weeks he's been here. That was strange as usually his senses led him to a place where things get interesting quickly enough. Well, at least, he successfully avoided all contact with Pinkie. For the whole week! That was definitely a great achievement. As he had nothing better to do he started to look around listening to conversations. His attention got caught by a pair of two ponies who were discussing where to eat. The stallion looked extremely nervous about the whole situation. That was getting interesting. Perhaps he could, after all, find at least some entertainment in this small village...

@@Colenso Rivers,

Redwood gave Echo a quizzical look before saying, "Alright, do y'all wanna go and grab somethin' at Sugarcube Corner?"

It was odd how Echo was fumbling his words. Before, even though he didn't speak with much confidence, he still spoke clearly and coherently.

He nodded as he approached, saying, "Wherever works. I have no preference." His voice, quiet. He said it because it was partially true.. he hadn't eaten out since before his incarceration. And maybe they had a lunch menu. He hoped, he did not want to be stuck with cupcakes as his lunch.

Missklang collapsed on the ground in despair. Why was it always at Sugarcube Corner? After all, he didn't want to approach that place. That where SHE lived... But to miss such entertainment? The decision was hard to make.

Well, after all... She would find me eventually anyway. She always does. So maybe worth going anyway...

.He finally stood up, stretching his front legs and looked up. A leaf fell down on his nose.

"Okay then, Sugarcube Corner it is. Ah'll meet y'all there in a few minutes, ah gotta swing by mah house and clean up mah bruises," said Redwood.

With that, she left. Redwood went to her house and cleaned herself up, just as she had promised. She then headed over to Sugarcube Corner.

As Echo headed into sugarcube corner, he forgot about one vital aspect. An aspect that screamed at him when he stepped through the doors, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Are you here to plan your parties, huh, huh, huh?!" An aspect that could both teleport and shapeshift. He meekly answered, "I'm just here to grab lunch with somepony"

@@Colenso Rivers,

Redwood saw the pink explosion that was Pinkie Pie, and immediately realized how going to Sugarcube Corner was a bad idea. Echo definitely wasn't the kind of person who'd want to be around Pinkie, and she was a bit irritating to Redwood as well.

"Pinkie!" she yelled to get her attention. "Ah'm just tryin' to have a quiet lunch with Echo, and no, ah ain't his girlfriend."

Missklang stood near the sugar cube corner... He was too late. They were already here. He silently grinced his teeth together. Such great opportunity wasted... Well, it could have been worse. He walked in and sat at a table behind the window where he had a good look at the two ponies. Perhaps he would have another occasion to mess things up a bit as this day is clearly wasn't getting any crazier...

He backed away as Red spoke to pinky, who flashed next to her and nudged her with an elbow and winked, "don't worry, I get it. Just take a seat and I'll see if I can whip you up something real delicious. Okay," Gestured to a table right outside the shop. Echo nodded and headed outside, immediately struck with the sense of being watched. However, in this town that wasn't unusual, so he paid it no mind as he pulled out Redwoods seat and sat down afterwards. He took notice that she fixed herself and gave a very grateful, "Thank you Redwood."

Missklang's horn glowed as he levitated a small cherry-sized sphere from his bag. It was a strangely round rainbow colored thing that shined in the sun's reflections on the windows. His favorite toy. Large amounts of dry paint compressed to such small space under immense magical pressure. Highly unstable. Being able to explode on even a tiny shock. He always did like his little trick bombs. Never harmless, designed to make ponies smile, and this place definitely needed some cheering up and a bit of chaos to wake up from the boring daily routine. With all that happy thoughts in mind, he tossed the small thing right in the middle of the floor right beneath his hooves. There was no explosion. Just a loud "poof" like if someone hit a bag full of air. The place, however, changed drastically. All the dry paint contained within the tiny ball was expulsed all around the Sugarcube Corner's interior coloring everything in random colors as if it was some kind of psychedelic painting. Himself, being in the center of the event, he was covered in most colors. The place, however, became a bit darker as the dry paint also covered the windows.

@@Missklang,

Redwood spun around in anger to see who had just blown up colors all over the inside of Sugarcube Corner.

"Who did that!?" she yelled, wiping dry paint from her face. "Pinkie, ah swear to Celestia if y'all just did that-"

Redwood was absolutely furious. All she, and presumably Echo, wanted was a nice lunch.

Missklang closed his eyes and stand still. If he was lucky enough, the mare won't notice him as from her point of view he was blending quite perfectly with the colored wall behind. What was strange however was the fact that the mare's reaction was completely opposite of which he had expected. However in a corner of his eye, he saw Pinkie opening her mouth and eyes. Frozen in disbelief that such wonderful thing just happen.

Firecrackers?

Missklang cheerfully chuckle

Those are not firecrackers. Those are hand made little joy bringers made by me in person! But I don't quite understand. How is being a veterinarian is linked to firecrackers? Come here. I'll help.

Missklang levitated a white tablecloth of a table that was not affected and started rubbing her head removing the paint.
