How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My life used to be gloomy. I had a new mother, and I was confused and scared. Days blended together. We moved often, and when I started school, I made a few "friends". All my friends thought I was odd, and for the most part avoided me. I was too springy. On the outside, I made myself seem hyper and fun, but on the inside, I was sad. One day, I was browsing through the shows on Netflix. I had seen most of them already, and I avoided the ones for little kids like My Little Pony. But I had run out of options. I clicked on the colorful show, and sat back, waiting for the dumb tea parties to begin. Instead, something much different came up; a tale of two alicorn sisters. I watched in curiosity. I watched the transformation of Nightmare Moon, and was pleasantly surprised. That wasn't your average bad guy for four year olds. That was cool. I watched as I saw my first pony, Twilight Sparkle. I didn't want to hear her voice, they were always terrible in the old cartoons! But the voice acting was actually very good! She rushed into her library room, and I saw the cute purple dragon. I watched as the scene continued. Twilight was studious and kind of nerdy, like me, and I liked it. As the show went on, I finally saw Pinkie Pie. "Oh my gosh." I thought to myself. "It's me!" I enjoyed Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash's unique personalities and skills, noticing parts of me in all of them. But it was Fluttershy who sealed the deal. I'm not lesbian, but Fluttershy was undeniably adorable. If I was a guy, I knew who I would like. The rest of the episode had me hooked, and I wanted to watch the next one. Nightmare Moon must be defeated! "But wait... This is a show for little girls, right? I'm nearly a teenager..." The little voice in my head would have to wait. I went over to put on the next episode when, "Hey Claire, what are you watching?" My mom came out of her room and looked at me. She already thought I acted too young for my age! This would ruin my relationship permanently! "Oh I was just checking the description on this show to see if Leah would like it." Leah was my 7 year old sister. Not twelve, like me, but seven, just right to watch MLP. After the incident, I continued to watch the show. I DON'T WANT STARLIGHT TO BE A MANE SIX! But no one knows still but me... I am almost 15 years old. I am a Mormon young woman, and proud of it. I might be autistic, but we haven't gone to a doctor for a diagnostic. I still watch the show and do fan art daily. I don't have an 'OC' yet though, and I am so new to being called a brony that I don't exactly know what to do... I'm hoping to attempt to get get my parents to like me still and maybe even watch the show, but they are pretty busy and will think I'm just a little child on the inside.
