"When I was a kid," Red started, "I was in a coffee shop, and I helped these guys in a jazz band out, and that's where I found my talent. My dad didn't think I could make any money. I'm sure he wanted me to be a glassbower like him, so I ran off to prove him wrong, but things haven't been going well, as you can see."

Steady: "That's too bad... hey, would you like to come meet some friends of ours? We're thinking of trying to have a concert soon and we could use the extra talent! I suppose you like the bass?"

 

Nel: "Damn I hope we do this thing soon... There isn't much room for anypony else."

"Sure. Can I get my stuff, really quick?"

Nel: "No problem, do you live nearby? We have all day."

 

(Im lookin for a song that your guy could do, should he have vocals or should it be another character?)

"Well," Red Crystal hesitated, "My stuff is in a different place than my house. It's over past the park, but can we go around the park instead of through it?"

Nel: "Oh thank Celestia he has a house... I suppose we can go around, Steady likes taking the long way home anyways."

 

Steady: "I just love admiring the scenery of this city..." They made their way down the sidewalk again as they spoke. "So do you like any other music besides jazz? Krooked and I like pop music mostly but anything is good to us."

"It's not specifically a house," Red said as he lead them, "It's a hotel room, but it has a second bed if you guys want to stay. I like some other music too, but I specialize in jazz. I'm starting to learn blues though."

Nel: "Don't worry about us but would it be alright if a friend of ours stays with you? Our house is getting rather full with musicians, it's getting kind of risky having so many musicians in one house..."

"That's fine with me," Red said, "Well here we are." Red takes a look around, puts his to the wall, presses a brick in, and the wall swings open. Red pulls out his bass and trumpet, and closes the wall behind him."Let's go." Red said more cautiously.

"Doesnt look like that to me." Prince came closer, "Whats that cutie mark" he asked getting even closer.

Steady: "Impressive hiding spot. Alright follow us we live right down the street."

 

After a few minutes of walking the trio had reached the front door.

 

Steady: "We're home guys! We brought a friend as well! Please make yourself at home while we get them downstairs."

"Alright, thank you," Red replied. He laid down his bass and trumpet and sat down waiting for Steady and Nel to return. He then decided to pick up his bass, plug in an old headphone amp he had, and play. The headphones he had though were new, and not meant for music, but only for spoken word. The sound was distorted, but it still felt good to return to his musical oasis. He decided to hum along to this song:

"This and that," he says, shuffling around him*

"This and that isn't much of a cutie mark my friend." Primce continued to follow him "You sure you're ok? What's your name?"

Prince playfully leaped infront of Bass. "Names Prince lightning! Now why don't you tell me what's in the trunk huh?" Prince said giving a big smile.

"Clothes, my tooth brus- haystacks!" *Case drops and he freezes because his cutie mark, a black-on-cyan bass-cleff was showing*

"Oh! Bass Clef! That's an amazing cutie mark my friend!" prince said trotting towards him to get a better look. "wish I had one." said prince as he showed his flank being blank. "Well lets clean this, shall we?" prince started picking up the fallen things.
