Shadow threw one of the throwing knives close to the pony's head. It embedded into the wall, still twitching from the force behind it.

"Sure, just yell that even more loudly, better yet,  go outside and scream it."

His eyes shot over him as his coughing fit finished. When he was struck in the head, it seemed to be far more detrimental to him than the others, he flinched and a pulse of pain shot through his raw nerves, for which he shuddered. He then cleared his throat and answered, "Well, you think we get the luxury of knowing that we'll live through the night? No, so you don't get the privilege of knowing we are spies. No risk, no reward." He looked at the body parts and answered thoughtfully, "I'm not sure about any of you other creatures, but I'm a pony, and animal protein is not good for my condition."

Blitz simply rolled his eyes and simply pointed a hoof at Dust. "I think it's about time we stop beating around the bush and discuss the reason why we're all here." He said. "If not, then Gale and I'll just leave."

 

The dragoness didn't say anything. She just merely laid down on the ground.

Clover shook her head at the entrails. "Not for me, thanks," she said. "I have some better supplies in my saddlebags, if anypony is hungry. Hay and oats; that's better for ponies. As for seeing if anypony here is anything other than what they say they are, then I have a spell for that if it is needed."

Suddenly a radio cracks in the corner of the room. "*static* welcome listeners to suuuuuuun FM. Bringing you *static* news of the frontline in the south. Great news for all of Equestria, our troops took back 1 mile of Equestria. Meanwhile all over Equestria *static* starts to grow. Most notablly the Sunbringers, which to numerous sources have been all killed or captured in the latest raid of last week. Thats the News ponies. I am your Radio host *static* and may the Sun still smile over our recent captured 1 mile"

Shadow heard the radio and said,

"One mile, we only got one more mile. I can't probably take out a group of them without a sound. I'll take out the alarm since I'm probably the quietest one here."

He grabbed another handful and said right before putting it in his mouth,

"What is this, changelings."

Husk sat down at a table and seemed to be about to start coughing again, but instead placed his gas mask over his head and shook it, adding mournfully, "Such a massive loss for one mile." He paused in silence before furiously slamming his hooves on the table, shouting, "One F***ing mile!* His mask almost completely muted his shout, but his anger was clear. He looked to Shadow and nodded in agreement with him before looking to his new leader and stating, "Solo missions are dangerous unless they are recon, you should know this, let me go with it."

"Oh oh sorry i just, that News message." dust makes a very deep voice. "everypony died, oh oh then why am i alive?" she giggles. "Oh. Anyway, you have a point. And i am guessing you dont know how to disable the alarm, So i am coming with you. Since it can only Read changeling hoofprints, which if you look here" dust pulls out a Hoof."this is a changeling hoof. Which i....found yesterday so they wont know yet it wasnt him"

"No, I'll go alone, I'm the quietest, and I did some for changelings so they won't  question why I'm there." By the way, you haven't answered my question, what am I eating. It's good and all, but I still want to know what it is."

He held out a claw and said,

"Hand me the hoof, since I'm going alone."

Husk looked towards the beast before looking back at Dust, then back at the beast again in disbelief, "Excuse me?" He stood and approached him, "And who the hell are you to be calling shots, under your agreement, I do believe that SHE is your commanding officer!" Thrusting his hoof towards Dust with his eyes pinned with Shadows, "I don't give two F***s who you are, but if you don't want to do this as a team, then why did you even come here!?" Even if this creature made him somewhat uneasy, it didn't show. He knew he was dead either way, and nothing could hurt him anymore.

Shadow got up and looked at the creature that talked to him. He grabbed his scythe and said as he walked toward the creature,
"Here's the thing, I'm the most familiar one. If anyone else comes with me, then the whole mission is compromised. If I go alone, I can get in and out with no problems."

Sarcastically, "Yeah, and you just have the most sound judgement, don't you? Not but second ago eating something that could have been all ways f***ed with and could have dropped you like a rock." Then meeting him and stating, "The fact of the matter is that this isn't your decision to rightfully make. You already placed the pill on your tounge, now swallow it." Looking to his scythe and back up at him, "Planning on doing something with that buddy? Might as well kill a sick pony, since your so good at killing."

Sapphire was repulsed by the severed hoof. "Celestia that is not right." As she looked away tying not to even think about that she hated them but she was not at all for, well chopping them up.

 

The black unicorn was also as repulsed but quickly got over it and remained silent watching on.

Blitz grit his teeth in anger as he listened to the radio broadcast. If this continued, then it would be years before the troops took all of Equestria. As soon as Dust took out a hoof of a dead changeling and Shadow began to fight with the creature, the bat pony then slammed his hooves into the table and stood on his hind legs, sending the box he was sitting on back a few feet. "Enough. Now is not the time for in fighting." He yelled, his anger evident in voice. The bat pony then glanced at Shadow and the creature. "Let's him go alone. If what he says is true, then you going along with him would jeopardize the mission. If you really want to help, then act as a distraction."

 

The bat pony then glanced at Dust, and managed to calm some of his anger. "I'm not going to ask how you got that hoof, but just know that I have a certain code of honor, and I won't break that for ANY reason."

Gale winced as Blitz voiced his opinion and glanced at Shadiw. "Do you think they would trust you more if you brought a prisoner?" She asked, her voice barely loud enough for him to hear.

"I don't know, they know me as a loner, except when they want someone brought in, but maybe if I tell them that a changeling wanted me to bring someone from the resistance or an official wanted poster then maybe."

Gale gave a slight nod and thought for a moment. "I was captured before when the changelings took over. They wanted to learn more about dragons and how to take them down, so it would look believable if you brought in an escaped test subject." She said, looking at the ground.

 

Blitz glanced at Gale and was surprised. She hadn't talked since he broke her out, and ne she wanted to go back, even if it was a ruse. The bat pony then glanced at Shadow, waiting to see what he would say.

"yeah, it would, but they aren't that great with failures, so to save their own skin, they wouldn't report it. Also there would need to be proof that you escaped, like a poster or something to show that you are an escaped test subject"

Gale nodded and glanced at Blitz. "Do you have one?"

 

Blitz sighed and pulled a piece of folded parchment from his cloak. "We took down most of these, but this should do." He said. The parchment was a poster for a 10000 bit reward for Gale's capture and gave a detailed description and picture of the dragoness. Instead of a name, though, it just said test subject 2463.

Husk backed down and sat again, saying gratefully, "Well, at least somepony is taking charge around here. I guess I'm just as anxious as everypony else, y'know, just wants to get this s*** done." A surge of pin pricks lept into the nerves of his foreleg, which he rested atop the other.

Gale nodded slightly and stood. Her body was tense, and she was honestly trying not to think about what would happen if the mission wasn't south. "I'll be waiting by the door when you're ready." She whispered. The dragoness then headed to the entrance of the warehouse.

 

Blitz watched Gale and sighed. He didn't like seeing her hurt and gave Shadow a sharp glance. "Keep her safe. That's all I have to say." He said.

​Such hospitality, I don't quite fancy his tone either. A other pony greeted like this would like cause trouble, He should he feel lucky I'm so nice.

 

"Oh you want me to scream it? Not sure why you would, considering that would likely alarm some ponies, but ok if you wish."

Shadow's ears fell to block out the yelling and he grabbed the creature mouth and said,

"Ya know ya could just shut the door before saying that, and  shut up, we don't know if any changelings are around us listening."

He nodded to Blitz and said as he grabbed one of his throwing knives out of the wall,

"Will try, but not promising anything."

And they wonder why I have trouble believing in resistances these days, too many problems , too many ago's , too many changelings *sigh* (Flamestreak closes the door to the warehouse)
