"Nerine Azurios!"

 

The blue color-schemed woman went down into the arena, giving Priwen a quick look when he passed by. She bowed and proceeded to pull out a decorated quarterstaff. Out from the trapdoor came a monstrous fox.

 

Parvus Vulpes

HP: 2/2

 

The fox charged Nerine, but she managed to sidestep the creature and whack it with her staff.

 

1 Damage!

 

HP: 1/2

 

The fox then proceeds to turn around and claw her leg. She slightly yelped in pain.

Nerine

HP: 5/6

 

But then, Nerine jumped back and touched her wound with her fingers. Her hand glows a light blue color, and suddenly you notice that the wound is gone.

Right after that, she proceeds to give the Vulpes one final strike of the quarterstaff. The monster then turns to dust.

Athena especially gives Nerine a round of applause. She's a bit of an interesting character. Nerine bows again and leaves the arena.

"Fanos Verdeis!"

 

A red-haired fellow in a green suit walked into the arena. He didn't appear to have any sort of weapon. The only thing he has is this strange viridian ring. A tiger emerged from the trapdoor to fight him.

Then suddenly, Fanos' ring starting glowing, and a Spear phased into his hand. Before the Tiger could attack, Fanos impaled it in the lungs.

The tiger proceeded to swipe at him, but he barely managed to dodge it. Then all of a sudden, the Spear in his hand transformed into a Battle Axe. What the hell?

 

Fanos then proceeded to cleave the beast, ending the fight.

At least an hour passed by as the other people who entered fought their way into entry. When it was all over, the "teachers" applauded you all. The king remained silent.

 

"I think that all of you will enjoy this place, as far as your capabilities go. Tomorrow, we will begin our first actual test of your skills." General Wulfric said.

 

"For the rest of the year, you will be separated into 2 groups of 10, and will be sleeping in dorms. We have chosen who you will be working with for the rest of your days in this facility." Ares explained.

 

"The First Team, 'Team Dusk', consists of the following people: Dullahan, Xena, Licht, Nacht, Soprano, Seiken, Wesen, Ichaiva, Arachnia, and Juno. The Second Team, 'Team Dawn', consists of: Etherius, Mepherit, Tara, Alexandr, Calandra, Estiel, Encious, Fanos, Nerine, and Priwen." Athena said.

 

"Welcome to MEO. I think you all should get to know each other, because you all will be partners of justice for the next 12 months. For now, you will be sent to your quarters, where you can unpack your belongings. In an hour, you will all be called down to the mess hall for dinner." The General said.

 

Suddenly, the King stood up and actually began to speak.

 

"I trust that you all know what you're doing. You chose to walk the path of the warrior, ready to risk your lives in order to protect the weak. But, keep in mind that this is only the beginning, and that all that there is to come will happen simply because you chose this fate for yourselves. You will either change this world for the better, or suffer knowing that you couldn't save anyone. With that being said, I wish you all... good luck." King Molech said.

 

The king stepped down, along with his servant. Then, they were gone.

 

After that, you were all sent to the Dorm Quarters.

 Encious had finally undergone the long and painful procedure of separating his weapons from his hands and feet and back to their folded positions on his calves and forearms. He winced only a few brief moments during the process, and paid no mind to the other combatants. He was not very competitive, nor did he recognize anyone as having any more potential that others. The only reason he had been watching Calah was because he was the only one he had held an actual conversation with. A soft heart, one that had great insight on others, and therefore becomes too easily invested in them.

He stood and turned his view until he could see the general. Then took in every bit of information thrown his way one by one. The part he was most concerned about was making a good first impression. He knew such things, while superficial, were only natural and he had to respect that. With that in mind, it was time to clean himself and his clothes. He started for his quarters when he thought aloud, "I wonder, is it dorm style or separate rooms?...." Then looking down at his clothes, and adding with a slight tad of gaiety and a small chuckle, "And if we get uniforms..."

Tara and Alex have watched the remainder of the battles from the frontal position claimed by the girl when she tore there to watch her friend fight. She noticed a slight glitch of time, as though a moment had passed outside of reality when the big feline attacked the huge man, but it didn't seem to bother anyone else in the audience, so she dismissed it as a thing of local climate. At some point, Alex was most likely seen to by the same team of invisible medics that had taken care of Tara earlier, so neither of them paid any mind to the sustained injuries. The duo have gone mostly ignored up to the time when a majestic speech was delivered by the royal figure, after which the crowd began to mill towards their appointed sleeping quarters. Having let most of the others go before them to avoid performing actions that would require unnecessarily gibberish descriptions, the pair too moved in the direction of the dorms, intent on finding a corner for themselves and perhaps getting to know the other eight of their appointed group. Perhaps.

 

As they walked, Tara noticed a strangely pleased expression on Alex's face, but prompting him about it only resulted in a single-worded reply of 'calendar', which the girl shrugged off as a quirk of the giant.

Etherius didn't mind too much at the battles, some were impressive at the way they used their body's size or shape to their advantage. Especially that guy before, but using your weight to make it so your opponents weight is used against them is a basic technique at most. He started sketching up designs over moves like that in his head that he might be able to use at some point before realizing the fights had ended, once he heard his team he went with mepherit who had been looking in awe at the fights saying stuff like "These people are strong!" and "they're lucky..." while looking over at Etherius, he didn't mind it of course. It took them a bit of time to start walking as Mepherit was memorizing in her head the names of the others on the team, luckily they had already met two of them... however that wasn't much of a first impression to say the least. After this they started walking in a relatively slow pace to the dorms.

After about a 5 minute walk, you all reach your dorms. The dorms are separated into the Dusk Room and the Dawn Room. The 10 of you proceed into the Dawn Room while the other 10 go into the opposite room.

 

Within the room, it looked almost luxurious. 10 Decent and comfy-looking beds, Water Fountains, several bathrooms, Storage Safes for each individual, 2 tables that can be used for whatever, whether it be games, snacks, battle plans, etc., and even a decently large Hot Tub at the far end of the room that's to be saved after a long day.

 

Hopefully you all get a little sense of joy knowing that you're going to spend an entire year in such a stunning facility.

 

Fanos, Nerine, and Priwen all go to their own beds, and store away some of the things that they brought with them into the safes, and locked them. You notice that you can enter in your own password using both numbers and letters, up to 6 characters long. But surely you trust each other enough that passwords won't be COMPLETELY necessary in the long run.

Encious stepped into his dorm and immediately headed for the farthest bunk from the entrance. Once he made it there, he sat next to the bed on the ground and waited there. He would have to get clean, but the others may have needed the bathrooms more, seeing as regular people needed that room to take care of other needs as well. He also had no need to store his things, for he only had one set of clothes and his weapons were quite attached. He could wait until the others were done. Until then he entered a stimulated standby mode, or what was otherwise called meditation.

Etherius took one of the beds near the middle as Mepherit took the one to his left. They then went to the safes and put in any things that they'd rather keep private rather than public, neither used the combination lock on the safe due to the things they put in not being so important to them. After this they both sat on their beds facing eachother not saying much. Just generally staring at eachother out of boredom.
