Hooligan got up and spat a few broken teeth from his mouth, "what the f@ is your problem Kurren$y?" asked Hooligan, "what the fuck did I do to make you hate me so much?" Hooligan pulled himself up and turned to Shadow. "I don't mean to be rude but are you going to do something?"

Kurren$y had the wind knocked out of him, in between his wheezing breathes he said to Mudflat in a high pitched, shallow voice

 

"Nice punch. . . Those bombs. . . were meant for you. . . Truce? Tell Hooligan. . . Fighting words. . ."

 

Kurren$y held up a hoof for everyone to give him a second.

"Ah oughtta cut yer throat out," said Redwood as she cuffed Kurren$y and pulled him up by the neck.

 

"Are y'all okay, honey?" she asked. 

 

Redwood was hating Kurren$y about as much as Hooligan right now. It seemed like he was intent on ruining things for them, which he very well may be.

When Hooligan saw Kurren$y was restrained he smiled, his teeth filled with blood and broken teeth. "I'm fine now babe," he said as he was about to kiss her but realised his mouth was a bloody mess, "I just gotta get Doc to patch me up. It might be a good oppertunity to tell him the good news."

"Ah'll walk ya there and let Shadow deal with Kurren$y," said Redwood as she shoved him towards Shadow. "Let's go."

 

She just wanted Kurren$y out of her hair right now. Redwood didn't have the energy to deal with him, and she just wanted to spend some time with Hooligan.

Kurren$y walked towards the rest of the prison population and saw Missklang and Mercury creeping on Shadow's office

 

"Aye ya'll lurkin all wrong, lemme show ya how a hot boy does it."

 

Kurren$y kicked open Shadow's door and bowed before his audience.

"Sure, next time I see ya, I'll have that rust."

 

'Just wanted to know why you want it.'

 

Acrylic thought. He then remembered he had that delicious sweet roll and took a bite of the sugary pastry. It was delicious, he couldn't remember ever having anything close to this good on the streets. Chewing it, he started planning his next move.

 

'Alright, I need to get Kurren$y that rust, but what should I do after that?'

 

He trotted back to his cell and started using his magic to scrape some of the rust off of the metal. After a while he had a decent sized pile of rust at his hooves and a rather clean cell.

 

"There, that's the last of it. Kurren$y had better really need this stuff 'cause that was horribly boring."

 

He then exited his cell in search of Kurren$y.

Yes indeed. Touching unknown artefacts are an extremely bad idea. Especially dark ones. And I was merely following Mercury.

 

He looked at Kurren$y.

Don't be so hard on Mercury. After all, it's not a big deal undoing the restraints. Look at me. I have none too. By the way. She got attacked by Spellvamp a few hours ago. Apparently he tried to rape/harass her and stuff. I say that's a more serious crime than undoing some lousy magic blockers. And if I do recall, he was in need of magic too. Better survey him unless you want another case of severe magic exhaustion and stuff...

"You also banged Hooligan's head against me desk, touched one of my artifacts that will kill you, and now you want a reward?"

I never asked what the artefact do. Why should I even care? From what I care, it could as well make your farts smell roses. I have no interest in your toys what's so ever. I got plenty of my own anyway.

 

He looked at Shadow.

 

Oh, and I wanted to ask. Ever since you told Nightmare about the lower levels, she was all nervous and shaky. Last time I saw her she was looking for sleep pills. Having sleep troubles is not like her at all. I was wondering if you told her anything that could have caused such reaction. Perhaps some ghost story about a certain prisoner who rampaged through lower levels? I don't know. Tell me.

Shadow's expression grew dark, and said as he placed the helmet on to pick up a black collar,

"I left the stuff you want on your bed. why don't you go revive the nurse, I'm sure she'll be glad to be alive.

 

Nightmare took a deep breath and that helped a lot. She turned around and started head back up.

He waved his hoof and went away. He was walking through the halls when he heard a noise. He peeked at the corner and saw Spellvamp. That was bad. If he were going to go on a magic rampage, things could go sour four everypony. He levitated the anti-magic collar that Shadow gave him earlier. It won't be able to stop him physically, but at least it would prevent him from draining or using magic. He levitated the collar towards Spellvamp and closed it on his neck with a loud "click". Perhaps, that would make him even madder and it will be nice destruction everywhere. He waved at him.

 

Whoa, Spellvamp! What a nice day! Are you searching for somepony? I could give you a hoof if you want.

 

He said as he teleported on a pillar that was high above the ground.

Missklang looked in amusement at Spellvamp who sat down under the pillar. He hadn't had so much fun in a lot of time.

He teased Spellvamp. Suddenly, Spellvamp turned around, as if distracted by something. Such nice opportunity could not be wasted. He jumped from the pillar and landed right on his back, grabbing him with his hooves not to fall off.

Missklang got up and started to follow Spellvamp by teleporting right beside him every time. Following him like his shadow, he sensed Nightmare's close presence. 

 

Well, that is not good at all.

 

He teleported way ahead towards Nightmare.

 

Sorry, no time to explain.

 

He grabbed her by the hoof and smiled with a mad look on his face.

 

And now we run.

 

He could already hear Spellvamp's stomping before seeing him running in the corridor. That was some impressive speed for a pony. Missklang was a tiny bit surprised. He did the first thing that he thought about and teleported himself and Nightmare in Shadow's office as it was the first place that came to his mind. However, with a bit of miscalculation, he and Nightmare appeared a few inches above the ground, successfully collapsing on one another upon the fall. Missklang, a bit squished by Nightmare started to laugh.

 

That was fun. However, He will be here in few seconds. After all, only a few floors to run through...

 

He knew Spellvamp would still sense Nightmare here and was probably already heading here. At least the door was somewhat locked...

Hooligan leaned on Redwood for support as the two walked to the infirmary, he was a bit woozy from the blow to the head.

When they reached the infirmary Hooligan sat on a bed, "hey Doc you know how to fix teeth right," he said with a half toothless grin, "and I wanted to thank you for getting that ring." Hooligan smiles widely, "she said yes."

"Ah didn't expect it, but ah'm still happy" said Redwood managing to keep her smile despite Hooligan's injury.

 

She gave Hooligan a hug and a kiss on the cheek, then said, "If ah had th' authority, Kurren$y would have a face full of buckshot by now, ah unfortunately don't. We gotta do somethin' about him, because ah can guarantee he'll try to ruin th' weddin'."
