Mercury strolled up to the gate. "Hey, suckers!" she called. "I'm back, and I really do not feel like climbing the electric fence again! Open the damn gate!"

 

The gate swung open, and several guards tackled Mercury. She let them. "Whoa," she said, "I'm coming, guys, I'm coming. No need to be physical about it. Although, I do think I deserve it, pretty much."

 

She walked compliantly, head held high, mane poofy. The guards hustled her straight to Shadow's office before leaving. Mercury gave her mane a shake.

 

"Hey, Darky!" she said. "I was just taking a little vacation, but I'm back now and ready to continue playing prison."

Kurren$y wrapped his non-broken arm around his leg and rocked onto his back. Kurren$y ignored the thoughts in his head telling him to front, there were just some pains he couldn't play through, and this was one of them.

"Sorry about that, guess I can lose control, luckily, I didn't break it even more."

He walked up to Mercury and said as he another tentacle of shadow around her waist and lift her up, 

"What were you doing outside the prison? Prisoners don't take vacation."

"Well, I do," Mercury replied. "I was just searching for a good book, because I was so bored here. You seriously need better entertainment facilities. Also, why isn't your electric fence on all the time? It would probably be more effective that way, and, you know, slightly less fatal. Have you seen what that did to my mane?"

 

Here, she pointed at her mane. Upon looking at Shadow's expression, she burst into laughter. "That's Darky, always so serious about everything! Have you ever heard of "fun?"

 

Dear Celestia, she thought, Missklang's personality is rubbing off on me!

Shadow punched her in the gut and said as he placed a claw underneath her jaw, 

"We have a lot of good books. If you would have put in a request, I might have gotten you a book on the subject or by the author. The electric fence isn't on so that it doesn't cost as much to run this placed."

Kurren$y applauded the violence unfolding before him. Fighting is one of his favorite pass-times, even if he isn't a part of it.

Mercury winced as the air rushed out of her lungs. It took several seconds for her to get them working well enough for her to speak.

 

"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind," she wheezed. Carefully, she reined in the urge to spout insults at Shadow. Best not to rile up the warden anymore than I already have, she reasoned.

Shadow released both of them and said as he grabbed the knife, 

"Get out of here and back into your cell, or I will have some guard put both of ya into solitary. Also don't go to Doc for anything for the pain, he probably knows what's going on."

He walked over to the chest, then he dropped the knife into it and closed it.

He walked through the door of the office into the hallway.

From there he took count of the aluminum cans of food he had not thrown out and the materials available in the battery casing that made it past the contraband check. Satisfied with his check-list, Kurren$y walked to the edge of his cell and shouted for Acrylic.

Acrylic heard Kurren$y call him and made his way over to his cell with the rust.

 

"Here you go, all the rust from my cell."

 

He then levitated the rust through the bars of the cell door and placed it at Kurren$y's feet.

 

"Though just what do you need this for?" He then added quietly, "Are you making a bomb?"

Nightmare walked out of her room and head back to the lower levels to see if Shadow's story has any truth, besides the cell and the skeleton.

Yes, yes. But first, I got a resurrection to make. I'm heading into my cell. 

 

He walked out of the office and headed to his cell. In there, he grabbed the skeleton which was now inside a perfectly crafted fake body that one could even mistake for a real one if not for stitch marks giving it the appearance of a Frankenstein. However, he made sure there were no stitch marks on the face and make sure those which were necessary, were well hidden. On closer inspection, instead of eyes, the doll had two glass spheres with an illusion of eyes cast on them. However, right at the heart place on the abdomen, there was a heart-shaped hole that was there to insert the gem at the end of the ritual and covered up by tissue. In all, the pony-sized doll looked like a pale ivory unicorn with dark blue mane and tail. Grabbing the doll as well as some powders and the said gem, Missklang headed down to towards the lower level in order to perform the ritual there. After all, making it in the place of her demise was more logical than far away in his cell. And of course, because he couldn't afford some paranoid guard intruding in the middle of the ritual and screwing everything up. He was all the way down and entered the cell where he had previously found the skeleton. He first missed some ashes and salt with a bit of his blood. He then used said mixture to draw a large pentagram in the centre of the room. He then placed candles in each of the corners of the pentagram while magically turning them black with the dark Sombra-like magic. He then placed the gem right in the middle of it and also prepared the doll to insert the gem inside it right after the end.

 

Well, that's everything ready...

 

He suddenly realised that there was somepony else in the lower levels. He went to check out and stumbled on Nightmare Moon.

 

N..Night? You here? Well, that's peculiar... What are you doing here? But perhaps it's a good thing. You see, I came here to finally revive the skeleton. Shadow told me it was a nurse. It's interesting. I suppose he didn't tell you that since you never mentioned it before when telling the story. Might it be interesting to hear her version aye? After all, you seem worried about the whole story. Nightmares, coming down here, strange shiverings... Perhaps knowing it from a trusty source would help at calming you down?

He then followed Kurren$y to the laundry room.

Mercury trotted out of the cell without a word.

 

On the way to her cell, she spotted Kurren$y hovering in front of a different one. Let the bastard dig his own grave, she thought. The shimmer of magic from the cell did intrigue her, though. Just a quick peek, she told herself as she trotted up to the cell.

 

"Kurren!" she called. "Who's your new coltfriend?"

The various things they had bought were left in a storage locker for safe keeping, although Redwood wanted to hold onto the wedding dress for now. It was nice to have some time off, but now she was getting back to work. Before Redwood did anything else though, she made sure that the dress was safe in her quarters.

Hooligan kissed Redwood on the forehead, "thank you for an amazing day out sweety," he said with a big smile, "we really should do it more often." Hooligan lay down on the bed, "so Redwood. When do you think we should hold the wedding?" Hooligan asked curiously.

Kurren$y held up a hoof expecting a high-hoof, and even though his face was cold and blank, the inflection in his voice was warm.

 

"Sup home mare, got this new cat Acrylic on the nine. What you tryna get into? Feeling a quick trip on some Shaw Shank type s***? Gotta make it fast doe, don't know how much longer security will be slacking."

 

Kurren$y looked out the peripherals of his eyes once again. A group of ponies talking like this drew too much attention, and Kurren$y was carrying contraband
