Hooligan smiled as he exited Shadow's office, this Bachelor party was going to kick ass. He first swung by @Missklang's cell but found he wasn't there so he left a note saying he wanted to speak with him.

"It felt like a dream, I was hungry for locking me in that cell, sad for the others that died, but happy that I'm alive. I did you bring me back to life?"

"Guess it's become somewhat if a habit," said Hooligan as he walked into the infirmary and sat on the bed, "I just swung by to let you know the weddings on in two days. I also wanted to invite to my bachelor party. I know you're probably busy but if you feel like joining us for some beer and fun your welcome to come."

The mare was taking everything a bit too calmly for a normal pony. Missklang assumed she didn't quite believe it just yet. After all, she was under a post-traumatic shock and was in the void for past centuries. And seeing suddenly a strange pony with a not normal appearance and Nightmare Moon herself nearby wasn't helping to prove that this was indeed the real world.

 

Well... Yes and no. Technically no, I did not reanimate your corpse and all that stuff. That's bringing ponies back to life, also called resurrection. It's way beyond my powers. I doubt that there is any living creature capable of such miracle in Equestria. Me, I merely brought your sould back to the real world into a new body. But don't worry, it's almost exactly as if you were alive again. Even better according to some. Tell me your name.

On her way back to her quarters, Redwood swung by the infirmary to see if she could find Hooligan there, as she was wondering why he wanted to bring Missklang with. She was in luck, and found him talking to Doc.

 

"Hey honey," said Redwood before giving him a kiss. "Y'know, ah gotta ask: how come y'all wanna bring Missklang to yer bachelor party? It seems odd to be invitin' a prisoner to this sort of thing."

Fewer guards meant more chances for Kurren$y to be played, and more people on the same operation meant more opportunities for things to go south. The only thing reassuring Kurren$y that bringing Acrylic and Mercury on board was the fact that one already broke out, and the second was his property as long as both parties were behind bars. As long as Kurren$y could move faster than Acrylic everything might be fine.

 

"They some in the infirmary, and they's more at the end of this hall next to the janitor's closet. Ain't nopony been there in a minute doe, mildew and s*** been piling up. Perfect for what we tryna do. 'Fore we roll, any ya'll got a spark?"

Mercury tilted her head just a bit. "A spark? Hang on for a moment."

 

Her keen gray eyes searched the ground. Eventually, she picked up a broken-looking pebble. Looking at it and apparently finding it satisfactory, Mercury struck the pebble against her hoof. She dropped it, though a small spray of sparks had come from her horseshoe. " I used to have way too much time when I was younger," she said, recollecting it. She silently prayed that she hadn't misinterpreted some slang.

 

Whatever. "I'll take the ones next to the closet," she said. "The doctor knows far too much for my liking. Lead the way."

Kurren$y watched Mercury create some sparks with a pebble. Not what he wanted due to how crude it was, but fire is a luxury in the hole, so there were no complaints.

 

"Aight le'go. . . If that's the best we got you gonna have to step back or be a sharpshooter. Once that spark catches it'll turn the shavings into molten metal and burn at 2500 Celsius, blind ya too. Won't stop burning neither. don't get burned. I tryna ain't carry yo a** to Doc. Was you there when he stabbed me? F*** was that?"

Mercury raised an eyebrow. "I think you got your metals mixed up, buddy," she said. "What kind of idiot would make their shoes out of magnesium? My shoes are steel. Flint-and-steel steel. Steel sparks when you hit with a flint, and magnesium burns with all the fires of hell. We clear?"

 

With a snort, Mercury started to follow Kurren$y. "I think I'd remember a stabbing as well," she muttered.

Kurren$y took a step back with all the force total confusion could deliver to an individual.

 

"Say I got my metals wrong one mo' time. B**** I got what I got and what I got is magnesium. say some s*** 'bout how I ain't know it. You tryna catch my s***, Acrylic's s***, and some otha s*** on fire. Betta check yo-self girl."

 

Beginning to walk again, Kurren$y regained his composure but continued to walk like a force was preventing his forward progress.

"Ah. My apologies," Mercury said. "I assumed you were talking about my horseshoes being magnesium. Honest mistake." Her voice was professional and smooth as glass. The pebble was tucked away safely. "Sorry about that," she said again, a little more abashed this time.

 

Kurren$y had magnesium on him. Mercury strongly doubted that was allowed, but she said nothing. She'd just escaped; Who was she to judge?

Missklang shooked his head with a sigh of sadness and turned to Nightmare.

 

What a world we are living now, Night. You can't even do good without ponies getting suspicious. Always thinking that there must be a back thought behind sudden kindness.

 

He turned back.

 

Tsk tsk tsk. How ungrateful. I, after all, granted you another chance. Went against laws of nature for your sake and I don't even get a "thank you"? What if I'm a demiurge or something? What if I get sad and upset and annulate what I just did? This is too much. I can't handle it!

 

He dramatically collapsed on his back with one hoof covering his face while loudly lamenting.

 

Oh, Celestia! Wherefore  thou hast forsaken thy humble leigeman?

 

He suddenly stopped lamenting and raised his hoof in the air, saying in a suddenly normal calm voice to Ivy.

 

Oh, and I brought you back just for my personal amusement. Because I can. Because I found it entertaining for me. Don't get the big head.

 

He started laughing  and his cold mad laughter resonated through the dark empty hallways of the lower levels, making the some spiders drop from the ceiling and mice hide in terror. 

 

My, my. The acoustics of this place are simply marvellous. Such nice dissonance of sound waves. Truly remarkable phenomenon.

Hooligan sighed, "I guess you're right honey," said Hooligan somewhat unhappily. He wished he didn't have to woory about an asshole like Kurren$y. But Redwood was right he was a guard now and it was his duty to do this sort of thing, "you lead the way," he said with a smile.

After just a little searching, Redwood found not just Kurren$y, but two other prisoners as well. She was glad that she brought Hooligan, as she would might not have been able to handle three at once otherwise.

 

"Ah see y'all are havin' a little get together," said Redwood as she approached the three. "Now, th' three of y'all all gathered up like this is a might suspicious, especially considerin' Kurren$y's track record of causin' trouble."

Mercury's head practically whirred. She searched for a solution, and a solution, she found. It was a bit awkward, but that was good. Nothing like awkward temsion to drive away the unwanted, after all.

 

"Oh, sorry, Miss," she said. "It's my fault. I was just taking these two fine gentlecolts to, let's say, have a little fun."

 

She gave Redwood a wink and a cheeky grin. "Now, if you'll excuse us, please," she finished. Inside, she was chuckling.

Hooligan was suspicious. He might have bought Mercury's story if it was just her and the new guy. But Kurren$y was there. Hooligan stepped foward, "You expect us to believe that you, no that any mare would be willing to 'spend the night' with a scumbag like Kurren$y?"

Kurren$y took a page out of Mercury's book and ran with what she had established. Wasn't the best, but at the least he could throw in some half-truths to make himself more believable. The impulse to resort to violence was too strong, but Kurren$y decided to wait a second.

 

"Obviously both yo heads been stuck up a wild hog's a**. I ain't gotta flex no more, Acrylic ate the sweet roll and home mare knows what real looks like. Just cause I lean when I step don't mean my swagger ain't on top. Put some respect on it son."

 

Kurren$y slammed his foot against the ground to emphasis the need for respect.

"Respect? Respect? Are y'all stupid enough to think that ah'm gonna give y'all any respect after y'all stabbed me, assaulted Hooligan, and killed three guards with a home brewed bomb? Ah have absolutely no reason to believe a single word that comes outta yer mouth." Redwood then turned to Hooligan and said, "Honey, do us a favor and restrain them."

 

She was making sure to keep an eye on Kurren$y so she could be ready if he attacked, which was a likely occurrence.
