Mercury gingerly sat down. Her ears were low, her eyes lower. She stared down at the floor with unreadable, flat gray eyes. The red-brown blood on her horn was drying into a dark crust; she scratched absently at it with one hoof. causing rust-colored flakes to fall. Her hooves had neat nail holes on them, a mark to her recently removed shoes.

 

In a detached sort of way, Mercury noticed how sore her hooves were.

"Ya do know that fighting against prisoners will get ya in trouble, but I will here your side of what happened. Also you need to clean yourself up, you have blood on yourself.

"Well, we got a busy day and a busy night tomorrow," said Redwood as they got to the door of their quarters. "We might wanna rest up a little."

 

She was excited, but it was probably in her best interests to get as much sleep as she could. After all, Redwood wanted to be in top shape.

Mercury nodded. "He jumped on us," she said, voice far away and faint. "Bit through a guard's throat before anypony had time to react. He had fangs this long," she continued, holding her hooves a worrying distance apart, "and I panicked. I hope he doesn't die, sir. I'm sorry."

 

She started carefully examining the nail holes in her hooves, avoiding Shadow's eyes. Her horn itched at the base, but she didn't bother scratching it, as it was under her suppression ring.

 

The seed of an idea sprouted in Mercury's mind.

Feral got dragged in the room he was angry but when he seen that Mercury was ok he calmed down and sit beside her and growled at Shadow I have no idea what are you doing Feral but your not attacking Shadow or Mercury and you are more defensiv not agresive hmm what did the regeneration do to us?

Mercury nodded. She got up and, head low, walked out of the room. Once she was out, she galloped at full speed to the showers.

 

Water felt nice, Mercury decided. She scraped every flake of dried blood from her horn and washed her face and mane. Then she washed the rest of her as well. She came out feeling a good deal better, polishing her horn with a soft rag. Her mane, while not nearly as glossy, was as clean as the day she'd entered, amd her coat was silver-bright. She presumed the guards got access to better shampoo.

 

Humming to herself, Mercury walked to her cell, taking her time. Her hooves were already sore, and she felt no sense of urgency.

Meanwhile In Spell's mind Well it seems that I have the rare time to think yay well what can I think about hmm well how did I get fangs to get to this situation when I got in the cocon I did not chose to evolve and even if I did there is nothing I had with me when I started to regenerate .... well mayby there was someting when I lost my eye Mercury has send horn trought it so mayby some of the DNA from the horn got in the eye-hole thing and my fangs are related to that but how becouse my fangs are fangs not small horns hmm I must go to doctor to check my body for changes when I have control.

Redwood gave Hooligan a kiss and laid down on the bed next to him. She was just as excited about tomorrow as he was. Redwood was eager for her bachelorette party, and the prospect of Hooligan and Mist coming by made it better. Of course, nothing could have been more exciting than what was going to happen the day after.

Mercury was bored.

 

So she did what she usually did  when she got bored: Things that were better left done by professionals. To tell the truth, the information she'd gotten from her book was disputable. But it was certainly worth a try.

 

Mercury twisted a strand of her mane around the thin sliver of horn below the suppression ring. She pressed it in place with one hoof, a familiar motion to her. With a grunt, she concentrated on pushing her magic through that part of her horn and that part only.

 

A soft, dim red glow filled her cell, though Mercury heard a worrying hiss. She changed how she was moving her magic until the hiss ceased. Leaning back, she stared at the way the red light made the ceiling seem alien.

 

After several minutes, Mercury decide to try something different. She pushed her magic a little harder, a little faster, struggling to form it into shapes her horn could have made naturally. The light brightened, until a crack filled her cell. Smoke streamed from around her horn as Mercury blinked dizzily. Not trying that again, she thought. At least, not for a little bit. Ouch.

"Y'know what ah shoulda gotten while we were out shoppin'?" said Redwood. "Makeup. All ah got is that lipstick, and ah feel like ah should put on a little more makeup than that fer th' weddin'. Y'all know ah wanna look nice, and ah ain't never really worn makeup, so now ah got th' feelin' that ah should have some."

Hooligan smiled as he gave Redwood a quick kiss on the forehead. "You don't need makeup honey," Hooligan said lovingly, "in fact i don't think that's there's anything that could make you more beautiful than you already are." Hooligan smiled happily at Rewood.

She still couldn't believe how much Hooligan had changed. He had been a prisoner here for so long, but in such a short time he had made himself into a better pony. Redwood couldn't be happier that it had turned out this way,

Acrylic was just sitting inside his cell, counting down the moments until his freedom.

 

"It's just a matter of time, Scorch and his friends will get here and it will all be over." He sounded almost delirious.

 

Just then, a piece of paper materialized on the floor. Acrylic picked it up and read it.

 

'Dear Acrylic,

 

It would be my pleasure to return the favor. I will be there at dawn tomorrow.

Be ready.

Scorch.'

 

"I knew I could count on you." Acrylic said to himself.

"You look harmless, maybe you know who's in charge, or maybe you are waiting to take a bite out of me."

"I suggest you get stuff done, but Shadow gets mad at you."

When she got to her room, she opened the books from the restricted section, and pulled out on that she carefully hidden.

"What do you think our kids will be like?" Hooligan wondered out loud, "will they both be unicorns or earthponies or will we get one of each. I hope one of them's a unicorn. Shadow walked up and placed him over his shoulder, and headed to the infirmary. When he got there, He placed him on the bed and went to get Doc.

 

After talking to Shadow, Doc got up, placed a ball of magic next to Spellvamp, and started to clean up and patch up the wounds

As the first rays of morning sun touched the prison, the first explosion hit, causing the entire building to shake. The force rolled Acrylic out of bed and onto the floor of his cell. He realized what had just happened,

 

"Hey everyone!" He yelled out of his cell door. "Today we will be free again! Today this building shall be razed to the ground! Today, we escape!"

 

Then the next explosion hit, blowing out the wall behind where Acrylic was standing. Two large green eyes and an enormous red scaly head appeared through the dust.

 

"Yo my man, was up? You said you needed a ride?"

 

"Buck yeah I did! And you're right on time, as usual old friend. So, how's your family been?" Acrylic asked Eruption.

 

"The family is doing great and you will be soon." Eruption said as he took off.

 

"Now, let's burn this place to hell!" Acrylic yelled as Eruption continued to blast the walls apart. After about three shots, they found the cell where Kurren$y was.

 

"Hey Kurren, you coming?"
