@@Amorphous,

Kurren$y watched as his ninja friend jumped to a neighboring roof and became indistinguishable from the shadow cast by a larger building. Before making the leap of faith himself, Kurren$y took a second to use this vantage point to his advantage: looking out for prison staff, enemies or allies on the outside, or friends from the prison. The streets surrounding Kurren$y were mildly populated. Judging by the lack of ponies he figured they were in-between rush hours. The wooded area he was pulled out of still contained the guards. Though being above the canopy, Kurren$y could only assume this.

Satisfied with his observations, Kurren$y regrouped with his ninja friend in the shadows.

Kurren$y heard the mare sigh. "What was that?" she asked in a voice as smooth as oil on water. "Because I seriously doubt that dragon attacks are a regular occurrence."

Her eyes gleamed gray and faint in the darkness as she stared out at the city. Daydreaming, perhaps.

@,

Shadow walked back and started putting needles in 90 degrees apart on the other hind leg, and once he was done, he left the room, headed to the infirmary to get doc to take care of Acrylic.

Nightmare woke up and looked down to see that she drooled on her book. her horned glowed as she removed the drool out of the book, and closed the books

The pain was becoming unbearable, and a decent sized pool of blood had formed on the floor, blood still flowing from the knife wound.

'I've got to find something to stop the bleeding with.' Acrylic thought as he started searching the room for a piece of cloth or something along those lines.

She pulled Kurren$y back and glared at him. "I'm in disguise, maneless," she said. "Call me Vermilion. Please." She said 'please' in a deliciously sarcastic way. After that, she simply sat back and watched him.

"And the skill? You try being a professional cat-burglar for your entire adult life." Vermilion tossed her mane. "I suggest we wait here. Quietly," she said scornfully.

The form of a mare walked along the roof of an apartment building near the prison. She leapt gracefully from the top, pushing herself to rebound off of the tall fence and land outside of the main building. She vanished into a door, tail sliding into the darkness within. The guards' eyes were all turned inside. After all, who would break into a prison?

'Me,' Vermilion thought as she ran the hallways. Her hooves made barely a sound as she moved through deserted hallways and climbed over watchful guards. She actually had no idea where she was going, but the door that said "No Entry" on it seemed a promising place to start. She managed to open and close the door right behind the guard in front of it; The ceilings were awfully high for a prison. 'Well, it makes sense. Shadow's vanity will be my salvation. Ceilings must be higher for bipeds.'

Quietly, Vermilion analyzed the space and prepared for her next move.

"We'll take y'all to processin', or at least what's left of it. They'll assign y'all a cell," explained Redwood.

The mare didn't seem like she fit into a place like this. She was so complacent, which was a far contrast fro, the likes Kurren$y, or really any other prisoner in here.

@@reader8363,

Vermilion found herself in what appeared to be a small warehouse, filled with crates. She presumed they were supplies for the prison. Food, ugly uniforms for the guards, restrictor rings and the like. She could tell because each crate had the name of its contents neatly painted onto the side. Several guards, hooded and masked, patrolled the space. Occasionally, guards would come in, take something from one or two of the crates, and leave.

Such perfection and synchrony. Delicious.

She pulled herself onto one of the exposed, iron ceiling bars and walked over them delicately. Her ear was turned for any creak or sign of weakness. The guards didn't look up, except for pegasi getting to the tops of high piles, and she adjusted her path to avoid the tallest stacks. It was actually surprisingly easy.

Then again, they probably hadn't had a theft problem in a while. Vermilion planned to fix that.

She didn't think what she was looking for was in a crate. A small door that nopony was entering, however, seemed much more promising. Vermilion crept slowly towards it, shifting to a different bar one time. It was like climbing through a jungle gym, to be in the ceiling, and she liked it. The door did have a guard. Vermilion decided that the time for subtlety was over.

And dropping from the ceiling onto the guard's head was about as unsubtle as she could get. The guard crumpled, and before anypony else could gain their composure, she had picked the lock and vanished behind the door, relocking it.

The guard with the crystal leg looked pissed and Starry's words weren't helping. The first thing Nightmare saw was a pair of wide, gray eyes.

Then, everything was chaos. A red-and-black blur darted around the room, tipping over file cabinets and upsetting bins. Paper and objects flew around the room, and the blur snatched up anything with a bit of shine. A shelf fell in front of Nightmare Moon, partially obscuring her view of the room.

She heard a rattle and a clang, audible over the rest of the noise in the room. When she'd move the shelf aside, she'd find nothing but debris and an open air-vent.

@@reader8363,

Vermilion grinned in the darkness of the vent shaft.

It was the grin that only came of success. She'd found her shoes in a drawer, and even the nails had been neatly lined up. They jostled with the rest of the random stuff she'd grabbed, mostly to confuse her trail.

Speaking of that, having many potentially magical items rattling around in a bag seemed like a bad idea. Once the shaft widened a bit, Vermilion slipped off her saddlebags and opened them to examine the contents. She neatly rearranged them so that they didn't rattle as much, though it was tricky without her telekinesis. After a few minutes of that, she slipped her bags back on and started searching for an exit. It didn't take that long to find one.

She was just about to kick the grate away when she noticed the shimmering grid across the bars. An idea presented itself, one that had Vermilion grinning, delighted. Carefully bracing her hooves, she kicked out the grate with her forehooves and stuck her head through for good measure.

Alarms sufficiently triggered, Vermilion twisted about uncomfortably and started moving, top speed, back into the shaft.

There had to be another exit somewhere. Vermilion followed the scent of fresh air, trying to ignore the yawning opening far behind her.
