Acrylic was getting rather bored all alone in his cell, so he decided to sing a song to pass the time.

Hooligan gave Redwood a loving hug, "I promise I won't any of those creeps lay a hoof on you," Hooligan said compassionately, "why don't we go find Nightmare. With Shadow gone she's in charge. Maybe she'll let you take some time off to see your family. Then you can try and make some plans for when the time comes to give birth."

Mercury rolled her eyes. She set the bottle on the table and glanced up at Kurren$y. "Yeah, okay," she said, unperturbed. She lifted her pillow in her front hooves and held it to the wall. With an abrupt motion, she thrust her horn through the pillow. When she lifted her head, her horn showed through the skewered pillow, and a small hole remained in the wall.

 

Solemnly, Mercury pulled the pillow off of her horn. "That'll be your throat if you mess with me," she said. Then, calmly, she put down the pillow and laid her head on it, turning away.

Kurren$y grabbed Mercury's bottle off the table and looked for a cup. Not immediately seeing one he poured the mouthwash onto the floor, filled the empty mouthwash bottle with a half-a-hoof's worth of liquid, and drank it in one gulp. Kurren$y then set down the bottle and put a hoof up to his mouth as he said:

"Oooooo love me some bad mares. Honey you ain't getting nothing less than my utmost respect. You down to ride?"

Hooligan smiled and kissed Redwoods forehead, "well it's your choice," said Hooligan happily, "but I think you should tell them eventually. No matter what you did there still your family. But we still need to tell Nightmare especially if we wanna get you some time off to have the babies."

Hooligan was about to go back to his quarters but decided that he wanted to be there when Redwood told Nightmare. Hooligan ran after Redwood and found her in Nightmare's office. He walked up beside her, "Hey Red, I thought I might come and give you some support as you tell Nightmare the good news."

How does someone like him ever get anything done? Mercury thought to herself. I can't understand half of what he's saying. 

 

She shrugged. "Meh," she said out loud. "My schedule is full, what with sitting in bed, having a headache, and also breaking into Shadow's office."

 

She reached with one hoof and pulled over the book, fumbling it as she lifted it. "So yeah, I'm gonna be pretty busy."

"Thanks, honey," said Redwood as she kissed Hooligan on the cheek. "Nightmare, ah'm pregnant and Hooligan's th' father. We're havin' twins too. Ah came here to ask y'all if ah could have some time off when ah have th' kids. There's also th' issue of me carryin' out mah duties, seein' as how bein' pregnant would make it a whole lot harder to do mah job."

She stroked her chin, twisting her head to look sideways at Nightmare. Artifacts? That sounded interesting, fun, and profitable. Nightmare should really watch her tongue around Mercury; The temptation was irresistable.

She would only need to be aged nine months for it to work, and the option was appealing.

He would be overjoyed to be able to hold his children in his hoofs as soon as possible, "It is only 9 months so as long as you think you could handle it then i think its a great idea." Hooligan said happily, "as long as we have a day or twk to prepare."

Kurren$y walked out of the infirmary and got a few cans of food as well as a sweet roll from the commissary. On his way back to his cell Kurren$y stopped by Acrylic's cell and introduced himself.

 

"Sup homes, Kurren$y. How long you in for?"

 

Kurren$y extended a hoof to dap up the new guy, trying to get him to come out of his cell.

 

"I picked up an extra sweet roll, do you want it?"

Mercury blinked and nodded slowly to herself. I bet her full name is Nightmare Gullible Moon, she thought to herself. I may have promised never to speak of it, but acting and speaking are two entirely different things. Plus, there's the chance to bag me some artifacts that'll be worth sweet, sweet bits.

 

"I'll be going now," she said politely to the doctor. "I'll take it easy for a few days, don't worry. Bye!"

 

Mercury breathed air that, if not fresh, at least did not smell of antiseptic. Her stomach growled. But first, she thought, I'm getting breakfast.
