Mercury tentatively tapped her hoof against Kurren$y's, creating a click.  She glanced back and forth for a second before continuing. "Want to take this to a place with fewer guards?" she asked. "If your friend over there is locked in, he won't be soon enough." 

 

Once she was closer, her scruffiness became more apparent. Her mane was fluffy, with strands sticking out in all directions. Her fur was ruffled and stained with dirt. "The showers sound like a good place to start," Mercury said. "No guards there, as far as I can tell."

Redwood put on her dress as her parents appeared on the mirror.

 

"How do ah look?" she asked.

 

Ma gasped a huge smile came across Pa's face.

 

"Y'all look wonderful, sweetie," said Pa.

 

"Oh, mah little Red's all grown up," smiled Ma.

 

"Th' weddin's in two days," said Redwood.

 

"You can bet we'll be there," replied Pa.

"Hold on, ah want th' dress to be a surprise fer everypony else," said Redwood before she changed out of it.

 

She made quick work of calling the rest of her family to inform them, and a surprisingly large number said they would be coming.

Kurren$y observed Mercury's sloven appearance and was brashly reminded of his own hygienic conditions. Blood stains, dirt, sweat, and bruises marred Kurren$y's typically clean-cut self. His coat was covered in these imperfections and had Kurren$y's shirt not been black, it would have seamlessly transitioned the stains on his leg to those on his face and flank. Wow, we both be needing soap. . .

 

"Showers sound solid. Let's get it going. Don't worry about him, he ain't locked up. These guards don't care enough to do they job like that."

Mercury nodded, a far-away look in her eyes. With one hoof, she swung open the door to Acrylic's cell. "Okay," she said to him, "You can come or you can go, but I'm not waiting for you."

 

Then, she turned her head to Kurren$y. "I'm still not familiar with the prison. Where are the showers again?"

Hooligan smiled, "sure, just give me a second to tell Mist when the wedding is." Hooligans horn glowed and the mirror showed an image if Mist.

 

"Hey bro," he said with a smile, "how's it going."

 

"It's going great," replied Hooligan, "I just wanted to tell you weddings in two days."

 

"Don't worry I'll be there."

 

Hooligan said goodbye and cut the call, "let's go see Shadow," he said to Red.

Redwood walked down to Shadow's office and said to him, "Sir, Hooligan and mahself figured out when th' weddin's gonna be. We decided that we're gonna have it in two days."

 

She was confident this was going to be enough time. After all, they were going to make it simple.

Shadow walked to his shelf and said as he grabbed his flask off of it,

"That's good, that just mean that we can't let them have anything planned that day."

He hesitated and said as he unscrewed the lid,

He took a few gulps and placed it back on the shelf

"Well, mah sister, Cherrywood, is almost definitely gonna drink, but she's probably gonna bring her own liquor too," said Redwood. "Other than that, ah doubt mah family's gonna drink much."

 

If what Kurren$y had said about knowing Cherry was true, Redwood hoped that she wouldn't run into him.

Hooligan smiled at Shadow, he was glad to see that he was still onboard with this whole wedding. More and more Hooligan was seeing that maybe Shadow wasn't such a jackass after all. "I'll also be bringing my friend Mist," he said happily, "and he will definetly be drinking."

"Ok, that seems small and easy to handle while running this prison. I'm sure Nightmare and Doc will be there, and I could message an old 'friend' to help out, and just make sure that they don't get close to my drinks, I wouldn't want anything to happen to them. Is there anything you need help with?"

"Well, we need help settin' everythin' up, but other than that we've got everythin' we need. We're keepin' it simple too, so settin' it up shouldn't take too long anyways," said Redwood.

 

It was nice that Shadow was helping them out, especially since Hooligan had been such trouble barely a week before.

"Yeah, apart from that we don't really need anything," Hooligan said happily with a smile. Suddenly an idea entered his head, "actually, there is one thing. If it's cool with you maybe you'd let me have a bachelor party, just some drinks, maybe some dancers. You'd be more than welcome to come."

"Maybe both of us could go out th' night before th' weddin' after our shifts are over. No risk of some prisoners gettin' any liquor, plus, ah wanna have a bachelorette party too," said Redwood.

 

The prospect of wrangling a few of the female guards at the prison and going out for a few drinks was definitely appealing to her.

He went in the cell where he prepared all the stuff. From the entrance, it looked almost like if here was an unconscious mare laying in the middle. Missklang smirked.

 

Top quality my dear. Don't want the ghostie to feel salty, do we? Please stay there. I don't want your soul to be sucked in. Just kidding, I can't but still, stay here.

 

He approached the circle and his eyes became green and red as his horn started to emit dark purple magic (like Sombra's). He started to cast a complex spell in an ancient language. The room became dark as the pentagram started to glow intense red. Missklang was levitated in the air, reciting the spell louder and louder. Soon enough, it was almost like there was no outer world, just pure darkness, except the glowing pentagram and Missklang's eyes. The air became cold and each breath lets escape a small cloud of vapour. A heavy feeling of dread, despair and horror filled the air. The silence was no more, slowly replaced by a chorus of screams and moans. Suddenly, it became clear that the darkness was moving. Composed of an uncountable number of shadows that only merely resemble anything except one tall big shadow with bright red eyes that stood beside everything, looking at the pentagram. Only looking at its eyes could freeze the joy and fill you with darkness. It didn't look happy. It closed its eyes for a second and a small shadow detached from the mass. As it floated toward the pentagram, it looked more and more like a mare. The crystal in the middle started to glow and vibrate as it sucked the shadow in it. In an instant, the gem changed colour from clear white to dark red. Then the crystal was levitated by Missklang into the doll and quickly fixed with tissues and strings. The pentagram stop glowing and Missklang's eyes went normally. The shadows dissipated and the dim candle light illuminated the area.

 

Well, this went better than expected... Umm...I mean everything went exactly like I planned. No need to worry...Mhm... Quite the show eh? 

 

Suddenly, the doll start moving and looked more and more like an actual living mare, taking a heavy breath like she was underwater for too long and immediately started coughing.

They would have plenty to do tomorrow, but she was sure it would all be worth it.

"yeah, that was quite the show."

Missklang levitated all the unnecessary objects away, in the same time brushing away the pentagram and cleaning everything up.

 

Indeed. Ponies are not the only ones who like to put up a show and use fancy visuals. Some of the beings from beyond our comprehension try to keep their reputation at all costs, in this case, trying to scare and spook...

 

He approached the mare.

 

Rise and shine sweetheart. Nothing to worry about now. You are safe and sound.

 

He didn't approach much. After all, it was an experience, being alive once again. Didn't want to rush the things too much.

It had been a long time since she had really been excited for something. Even if it was going to be simple, Redwood was sure the wedding would be amazing.

The mare looked around and said,

"What's going on, who are you, Nightmare moon, what are you doing back here."

 

Nightmare folded her ear's back and looked down at the ground. She was used to it, but it still kinda hurt to hear it, even though she was reformed

 

Shadow got up with his suit on his back and headed out the front door and to the village to get it sewn

Redwood had gone around the prison and asked most of the female guards if they would be willing to come to her bachelorette party, and she was able to get a decent number to say yes. She was planning on making it a wild night that she would be sure to remember.
