After a small magic related accident at Twilight's castle weird creatures have been found running around Equestria. Twilight also found two strange devices next to her she discovered the sphere object worked as a capture device and container and the other give information base on the captured creature. The device called it a Pokemon. She then decided to reverse engineer the device call a Pokeball as well as the other device which called itself a pokedex. Feeling curious Twilight released the captured Pokemon she caught a found it took a liking to her. The Pokedex referred to it as a "Eevee" she noticed it seemed to understand what she said but she couldn't understand it. She decided to research as many kinds of pokemon as she could but she would to busy with research to actively seek them out. Facing this problem so she decided to hire 8 assistants to catch them. After the pokemon became public knowledge many want to have some as pets or even what became a fun past time for ponies of all ages pokemon battles. This concept was hated at first but everyone started to see the pokemon were truly having fun. This increase in popularity caused healing centers to be built for them, an official League was started the 8 assists became the 8 gym leaders of Equestria whoever defeated all 8 them will have a chance to take part in the first ever pokemon league tournament. Starting today you can get your own pokemon and travel Equestria to take part in the pokemon league who become the 1st pokemon champion of Equestria.

Today is the day where new ready to be Trainers in Ponyville can get their official Pokemon License from Princess Twilight Sparkle who know what adventurers await these new trainers on their journey.

 

One of these soon to be Trainers Is D-Pad wakening up in his bed.  "uuuggghhh... what day is it today?"  he turned to look at the calendar that he keeps at his bed side.  "Oh looks like today's the day to get my Pokemon licence."  He jumped out of bed and grabbed his saddle bag and went to leave when he realized he forgot to eat breakfast, so he quietly ate to not disturb his mother (Card Crafter) who was still asleep.  She often stayed up late to work on crafts usually cards that went with event that she did as a hobby.  After his breakfast he exited his house and started to head toward the place he was gonna get his licence, Princess Twilight Sparkles castle.

Infinity awoke to the sounds of birds chirping and to the sun filtered through the leaves, the dappled effect flickering over his hooves. He was lying halfway under a tilting, monolithic boulder. He yawned and stretched before letting his obscurment spell fade away as he left the everfree and ate aN apple on his way to get his license.

Flash was asleep in bed when his alarm clock stated ringing rather loud. "Where's the fire!" He shouted as he awoke. Looking around he noticed that it had just been a dream and the noise was his clock. "What was I going to do today?" He asked himself. "Oh right! Today's the day I get my Pokemon trainer's license! I'd better hurry and get ready." He said as he was getting out of his lightning bolt patterned pajamas.

D-Pad flew as fast as his blue wings could take him.  Not wanting to be late to receive his pokemon license.  While traveling he start to wonder if there was gonna be a test for this after all it would kinda be completely irresponsible to just let anyone have a pokemon, after all he read the the all had extraordinary abilities.  Shooting stuff like lighting, fire, and water among other things.  He arived at the castle while thinking about this.  he saw a sign on the castle door the read. "If your here for a Pokemon License please wait to the right of the door when you are directly facing it."  D-Pad was found it kinda odd that the note was that specific about waiting.  Then again he remembered hearing about how this is the same mare who almost destroyed the town because she thought she thought she gonna be late turning something in.  D-pad shuddered at the thought of seeing most of ponyville fighting over something.

After getting ready, packing his bag, and grabbing his jacket and hat, Flash was ready to go. He flew as fast as he could possibly go, his wings slightly straining at the effort, because he didn't want to be late to get his Trainer's license. "Ooh I can't wait!" He shouted as he flew through town. Zipping in-between buildings like there was no tomorrow. When he arrived at the castle, he noticed that somepony was already there. "Hello!" Flash said to the blue Pegasus as he landed next to him.

Infinity trotted at a healthy speed until he reached the border between the Everfree and Ponyville. He knew one thing, he didn't have to make an appointment for his license, so he knew that it was a walk in kind of event, one where he only needed to show up between a certain hour thresh-hold. Even so... The unicorn began to teleport great distanced within his line of site, one after the other after the other until he was facing the castle, where there was already two pegasi in waiting, where he quietly stepped behind them in waiting. He was satisfied with his place in the line.

The train to pulled in to the station, bringing both tourists and residents to the small village of Ponyville. As soon as the doors to the train opened, a blue unicorn by the name of Dynamo Pad rushed off the train with his saddlebag secured on him. Coming from Fillydelphia, Dynamo had heard from others on the train about these creatures known simply as Pokemon, and that there was a test to become a trainer. Piquing his interest, Dynamo made it his top priority to make it to the test area so he can apply to become a trainer. He quickly got directions on where to go in the main square and ran as fast as his hooves could take him to Princess Twilight's castle. "I hope I can make it. I don't want to miss the opportunity to get something called a Pokmeon." Finally reaching the castle itself, Dynamo slowed down his pace, tried catching his breath back from all the running, and trotted up to the door. He opened the doors and stepped inside to see some ponies all lined up to wait and get a Pokemon. He walked up to the other ponies and attempted to say hi, until he was tripped by some unknown force and was sent tumbling to the floor, disorienting him. "Ugh, did someone get the number of that taxi?" Dynamo shook his head back and forth to try and gather his bearings and tried to see what had tripped him. Seeing as it was nothing he simply shrugged and headed over to the other ponies waiting in line.

@,@@Colenso Rivers,@@Dynamo Pad,  D-Pad heard somepony call out for him and looked behind him.  He saw the others in line with him and being in the nervous state he was D-Pad responded by saying anything that can to his mind.  "what are you doing get behind me we might get judged on how straight our line is.  Do you know if there's gonna be a test?  If there is a test how long is it?  What if we don't know some small and obscure piece of information that might be worth half the points of the test?  What if not know causes us to fail and makes it forbidden for us from ever taking this test again?"  He said in a panic induced voice "I can't take the pressure of not knowing i need answers to this."

He spoke aloud, "You can all calm down, what will happen is what will happen, until then it is beyond your control." Then to the unicorn whom had fallen, "However, you should probably clean yourself up."

Dynamo was starting to get a little nervous himself from D-Pad's reasoning about a test and not knowing information on said test. He tried to push the fear down and get to know the other ponies that were in the room with him. "Y-yeah, I think that if we don't know what's on the test, they might give us a study sheet t-to know what will be on it. He began to shake his entire body, intending on looking nice to be presentable to the princess. "Thanks for letting me know about that Infinity. I honestly have no idea what happened. I was walking to where the line was and out of nowhere, some kind of invisible force tripped my legs up and sent me crashing to the floor." Dynamo wondered if something had tripped him, but then paid it no mind after hearing about getting some helpful info. "If you don't mind Flash, I would greatly appreciate the information. I just heard about Pokemon while I was on the train coming over here, so I'm a little lost on the subject."

"So there are many elemental types of Pokemon and they each have their strong points in one, and weak points in another? Also you said that Normal types don't affect ghost types. Does that rule apply the same way when it comes to the ghost typing?" Dynamo was never good when it came to preparing for tests, but he paid as much attention as he could in order to be prepared for anything in this exam.

"Yes," said Flash. The same thing goes both ways with normal and ghost types. Now, where was I? Oh yes, flying types: strong against, fighting, grass and bug types, weak against ice, electric, and rock types. Electric types: strong against, water, and flying types, weak against grind types, can't hurt, ground types. Bug types: strong against, grass and psychic types, weak against, fire, flying and rock types. Poison types: strong against, grass types, weak against, ground had psychic types. Ghost types: strong against, psychic types, weak against, dark types, can't hurt dark types, immune to, normal types. Psychic types: strong against fighting types, weak against, dark, bug and ghost types, can't hurt, dark types. Dark types: strong against, psychic and ghost types, weak against, fighting, and fairy types, can't hurt, fairy types."

Dynamo received the chart book from D-Pad and began to look through the information that was given to him. After feeling comfortable enough on the typing and extra information he read, he gave the chart back to D-Pad. "So there are about 18 different types in all and they all counter each other in one way or another. So it's all about finding a sort of balance for these creatures. This evolving, is there more information explaining it. You said it's more of a metamorphosis, do you mean that they change in size and shape to better fit their surroundings, or something along those lines? Thank you for the chart by the way, and thank you too for the help Flash. I'm glad all of you guys were able to help me out." Dynamo smiled gratefully at the other occupants in the room, appreciative of their generosity since he just met them just a little bit ago.

@@Dynamo Pad, "Well off the top of my head it's not really to better fit their surroundings.  While they do change size and shape it happens whenever a certain criteria is met, such as reaching a certain level of strength, how much of bond you have with them, or even just giving them a cretin type of stone as well as trading.  No idea how trading them causes the process to happen though,  and last but not least this one just a rumor I heard about though so take it with a grain of salt.  Unlike the others this one is only temporary and it's said to require 3 things a key stone for you, a mega stone for your pokemon, and a strong bond between the you and your pokemon.  This method is said to increase a pokemon's strength by 30% I believe and its called Mega Evolution, but nopony I know has even see it happen plus getting all the materials seems like a lot of work and the bond that's required sounds like it might take years to pull off if this is even possible."  D-pad explained

Dynamo listened to the different types of evolution, getting a better idea on how a Pokemon evolves. He was curious about the process to this mega evolution, but it seemed the process would prove difficult. "Thanks, that's good to know. Mega evolution also sounds pretty interesting. I guess since nopony has seen it happen before, it sounds like only certain Pokemon have the ability to mega evolve. The question is though, who can and why?" Dynamo Pad grew more and more curious as he voiced out his thoughts. He hoped to one day have a bond with a Pokemon strong enough to enact this mega evolution.

Artie awoke with a burst, "Oh Celestia, I'm gonna be late!" he shouted as he fell out of bed. "Gravity works" he grumbled as he picked himself off of the floor. He ran to his desk grabbing his saddlebag and bits "Better get going!" he said as he ran down stairs. As he ran to the door his mom yelled "Where are you going Artie?" he replied "To get my pokemon licence, kaythanksbye!" as he ran out of the door. Artie took off flying as fast as he could towards the castle. Upon reaching the castle he saw a line of ponies, and assumed that's where he was supposed to be. "So I guess I'm not the only one here today, I hope I get a good pokemon!" he said as he got to the back of the line."Did I miss anything?" he asked to the pony in front of him.

He chuckled at his own joke before extending a hoof towards the newcomer. "My name is Dynamo Pad, it's really nice to meet you. I just moved here from Fillydelphia and hearing about Pokemon piqued my interest, so here I am. What's your name?"

Artie stuck his hoof out to meet Dynamo's, "I'm Artie, it's nice to meet you Dynamo pad! If you just heard about pokemon on the way here, you're in for some fun surprises!" Artie said while laughing. "Do you wanna know about something that'll help out in battles?" He asked his new friend.
