ManaMinori 4,149 May 10, 2016 Share May 10, 2016 If Faust's new gaming project with some of the Brony fandom got turned into a cartoon series, can you see it rivaling Friendship is Magic? Would it be more successful? Would FiM writers make references or crossovers of TFH, as shoutout to Lf and the bronies? Unlikeable Pony 2,700 May 10, 2016 Share May 10, 2016 Nah.FIM is big because it became a meme. TFH will never become a meme, and therefore will never become as successful as FIM.
Megas 28,220 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 Nah, if anything it'd just be a blatant clone of FiM just with more action. Hell, the characters are practically carbon copies of FiM's cast

Goat-kun 2,531 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 LoL can never become as popular as Dota – Hon Trash. I’m not saying you are wrong in stating TFH won’t get popular, but this “it’s just a clone” logic stinks. TFH won’t get popular cause fighting games just don’t cut it, and niche fighting games fare even worse. Now if they had decided on an RPG, they’d actually have a fighting chance. And thus it’ll die just like Skullgirls. Well, if truth be told, Skullgirls never was alive to begin with.
Guest May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 Honestly: I'm still not convinced that TFH will sell in the first place. It's being made in such a bad way, and they struggled in the final days to meet the kickstarter goal. Kickstarter projects are famous for going south to begin with. TFH all around I can't even really see developing a big scene due to the fact that fighting games are a niche market and it's hard to make sales without getting a competitive scene which this game will have a difficult time doing for numerous reasons. Ironically as Goat-Kun said, it will probably die like Skullgirls, given it's also being made on the Skullgirls engine.
cmarston1 5,965 May 11, 2016 Share May 11, 2016 That's assuming Them's Fighting Herds would do well enough financially to warrant an animated series in the first place. Even though I at least like some of what the game is, I highly doubt that it would gain anywhere near that level of success. Plus even if it does, I can't say that I would be too terribly interested in said spin off cartoon. We already have, it's called Friendship is Magic. The cast of Them's Fighting Herds are pretty much clones of the mane 6 and thus I can't say the show being all that distinct from FIM.
