What's stopping the pegasi from crapping on other ponies?

There is probably a social prohibition against it. Adults probably respect it most of the time -if sober. In "Baby Cakes" Pinkie probably broke the law by letting Pound Cake fly without a diaper, though.

Well they all united for a reason if the pegasi did this they'd starve and the unicorns would destroy their cities. The three races are better together than apart, kinda why Equestria is called that in the first place.

Assuming the pegasi decided to collectively crap on everyone else, figuratively or otherwise, it would be a very poor decision to their detriment. As you said, the other 2 races would quickly turn against them and they would suffer the most on that end.

 

The consequences could go much further however. The pegasi's primary contribution to Equestrian society is there efficient and versatile weather manipulation. If a conflict arose from such a nasty crappy debacle, retaliation from the unicorns and earth ponies is foreseeable and the pegasi could refuse outright to manipulate weather anymore.

 

The problem here is assuming the other 2 races united against the pegasi, they could still function relatively well without the pegasi's weather manipulation via several means. 1) They might learn to actually rely on natural weather patterns like real people do and as other races like the bison and deer do. 2) Far less likely the unicorns could find a way to manipulate weather via magic, which while likely far more inefficient is adequate. 3) Another race, notably the griffons could outsource and replace the labor and services that the striking pegasi provided. Griffons like Gilda already have been shown to have the ability to walk on and move clouds, its not a stretch to believe they can manipulate weather if they learned. Because Griffonstone itself is in shambles, and in turn the griffon economy, griffons may be just as willing to do the work pegasi did, but at a lower cost.

 

That actually would make for an interesting fanfic in a society where griffons became more integrated into Equestrian society and replaced pegasi. Either way, a stupid action like crapping on other races is not only destructive to Equestria, but likely outright suicide to the pegasi.

Not sure if two of the three races banding against the other would be enough to attract windigos. If it did, you can be sure the cold would give the pegasi's crap a hefty diarrhea upgrade.

I thought Pegasi poop floated and that's why it didn't fall and hit other ponies.

One other point -- you don't see any cloud houses inside Ponyville limits.  Dash has the only cloud house and it is WAY out of town.

The secret is out, the rainbow from the rainbow factory is made out of multi-colored pegasi poop (lots of different veggies of varying colors). In fact it's not a factory it's a sewer plant.
