"Good luck, old friend," Kronos said to Lupus as he left, "And may our paths cross again sometime in the future."

 

Damn, he thought, Lupus MUST make haste for that amulet. If there are also Raiders looking for that damned relic, who knows what havoc they'll wreck once they realize the power it'll grant unto them.

 

When Lupus left, he went up to the doctor to pick up his items before exiting the hospital.

 

"I'm just about to leave," he said to the doctor in a somber tone, "I wish to pick up my items."

She looked up concerned at his tone of voice, but said nothing. "You can see the office down the hall. I do believe I saw the guard's dueling with your sword. You should check on them before someone REALLY gets hurt." She said with a light chuckle. "Here, have a lollipop on me." Handing him a cellophane wrapped candy. "That's for caring for your friend there." Hopefully, that cheered him up, she thought to herself, Watching him leave. She wrote a note and passed it to a courier nearby. Giving him a nod and off he went to the dead drop. 

 

"A pony named Lupus is tracking the Alicorn Amulet. Follow him and ensure its proper recovery, but don't act until you've discovered it's location.

After a shower, shit and shave, Sylvester felt good again. He headed out the door and locked it tight. Heading to the west gate, a brief glance saw that neither Lupus or Kronos had arrived. He would wait a minute, taking a seat on a bench looking at the birds for brief moment. Just wondering, how much simpler would a life like that be he mused to himself quietly. He popped a hay seed in his mouth and chewed in deep thought.

She looked up concerned at his tone of voice, but said nothing. "You can see the office down the hall. I do believe I saw the guard's dueling with your sword. You should check on them before someone REALLY gets hurt." She said with a light chuckle. "Here, have a lollipop on me." Handing him a cellophane wrapped candy. "That's for caring for your friend there." Hopefully, that cheered him up, she thought to herself, Watching him leave. 

"Thanks," Kronos chuckled, "I'll get it off their hooves. Who knows what they'll do with that thing?" He went up to the guards who already cut almost every piece of furniture in there in half while trying to swing his sword at each other. He gave them a raised eyebrow and cleared his throat while holding out his claw. After obtaining his sword from them, he told them, "You should be really careful with such a heavy and dangerous piece of equipment like this. This Chainsword is capable of tearing a pony in half in three seconds without trying." After taking his sword, he left the hospital and took off.

When Kronos exited the hospital, he went off to find the pony who had the hunting shack he was wanting to go to.

After about fifteen minutes of walking, he came to his destination, an old looking bar that had clearly been there for a long time. Lupus walked in, and continued walking towards the far wall.

 

"Let's see, if my source was right, there should be a floor-board here somewhere..."

 

He left his sentence unfinished because he had found it. He pushed on it and the other end came up, revealing a small box concealed in the floor. He pulled it out with his magic.

 

"Here it is," he said as he opened the box and gazed upon the intricately made amulet. Right as he was about to remove it from the box, they showed up.

 

"Well well well, if it isn't that little kid who bumped into us a little while ago," He was staring intently at the box. "Wadaya say we give him more than a few bulletholes to remember us by and take his little trinket?"

Suddenly, a booming voice could be heard from outside. "This is the South Beach Army. We have you surrounded. Come out with you hooves behind your head and relinquish the Alicorn Amulet immediately. If you do not comply, we are authorized to use force."

'Well crap.'

 

Those were the only words Lupus could think of to describe the situation. He was trapped inside a room with three angry raiders, and if he got out, he'd have to deal with The South Beach Army. Fun! (Sarcasm)

 

Fortunately there happened to be a window right behind him.

 

'I can see outside, I can teleport outside.'

 

In a flash, he was gone. He had teleported out the one side without any doors so the Army hadn't thought of being there. He cast a quick invisibility spell, and ran off undetected into the town.

In addition, a bounty of one thousand caps was put on the Alicorn Amulet. After all, shaking the largest military force in the Wetlands wasn't easy.

"Alright," Lupus said, thinking out loud. "I've got an army out to get me, a dangerous magical artifact, and one friend whom I can trust."

 

He stopped running as he reached the edge of a marketplace, then he deactivated the invisibility spell and put on a dark cloak. Then he had to decide what to do with the amulet.

 

'The safest place to put it is around my neck, but then there's the chance that it'll corrupt me and I'll go crazy evil. What to do?'

 

Eventually he decided to put the little box in his saddle bag with a protection spell on it.

 

"There, nice and safe." He said to himself. "Now, where is Kronos?"

Missing the shot, silverbullet decided to just leave the fight turn and go the other way. Once again he traveled ending up on a little town. One that seemed to be panicking, every pony was drawing a weapon and moving their eyes left and right cautious and alert. "What the hell is going on," he said drawing his own weapon as a pony ran up to him, one of the south beach by the look of him. "Excuse me will you please remove your hood," he said as demanding as he could. Silverbullet shook his head, "then you are coming with me," a gun barrel came face to face with the hooded pony. With a sigh, silverbullet pushed the gun down and slightly lifted his hood to reveal his face. The guard turned red with embarrassment, "please continue," the guard stepped aside so Silverbullet could pass. As he moved through the town he could see a figure putting a black cloak over them self. Slightly intrigued he moved closer to the pony just as the word "Kronos" slipped from his mouth. He stared at him,

 

this must be the pony every one is so cautious about, might as well find out why

 

He thought to himself and moved closer.

 

"Psst...hey why don't you explain why everypony is after you," he said quietly.

"Alright, if you're really that concerned, I've come into possession of a powerful and dangerous magical artifact called the Alicorn Amulet. The South Beach Army is trying to take it from me for some reason. But I just want to use it for... Personal reasons... So I'm trying to 'get the heck out of dodge' so to speak, and I believe Kronos could help me with that.

 

Are you satisfied? 'Cause we really should get going now."

He said taking the lead and turning into an alley drawing his machete from its sheathe. They both needed to get out of here. Silver was already in enough trouble with the south and this amulet was deadly he needed to get this mystery pony to get rid of it before the south or even the gatorteeth get it

"So, what's you're name? I've already told you mine."

 

'Just who is this guy anyway? At least he seems to know where he's going. But can I trust him?'

 

Lupus didn't know the answer to that question, but it was better to follow this guy than get captured, so he did.

Silverbullet stayed silent as he peaked around a corner, he then turned, "just call me ghost," silverbullet was a bit surprised the pony didn't know who he was considering that the ponies in this area already talked about him. "Alright it's clear, come on" he quickly moved through the open area not looking back to see if Lupus was following him. He kept checking his sides as he moved. Finally he made it cross turned and beckoned the stallion to come over to him. He already knew what he was going to do, leave him after they were safe. He just didn't want the amulet in the south's hooves.

Silverbullet nodded, "just a few more alleys, stay close" he said moving to the next corner and peaking around "shit, they are blocking the way out," he said, "looks like we are going left it's the only other way out of here," he said looking the other way. He turned to face Lupus, "follow me and don't stop running until I do got it...good then let's go" he sprinted around the corner away from the guards Lupus hopefully following him

'F*****g guards, they're everywhere!' He thought angrily. 'And what's with this stupid South Army anyway? Can't they just leave ponies to their own business?'

 

(If you'd been in some previous RP's that I've been in you'd know how tired I am of dealing with guards. AUGH!!!!!!!)

Silverbullet ran, with Lupus behind him the whole way...until finally they came to a stop breathing heavily,the guards hadn't seemed to follow them but he had to be sure. Finally silverbullet caught his breath and started walking the other way trying to leave the heaving pony behind

Unfortunately for Silver and Lupus, a patrol was just passing by, and the two of them looked rather suspicious.

 

The patrol approached them, and one of the soldiers said, "Excuse me, we're looking for an very dangerous artifact that's been reported in the area. We're going to have to search you."

"Not this again," silverbullet muttered before grabbing a small set of crates with his magic and levitating them above the patrols heads. Using the same he opened his cloak to mask what he was really doing before looking at the guards, "hey what's that above your heads,"

A few of the soldiers looked up at the crates. "What the fuck?" said one of them in disbelief. They were not deterred though, and raised their weapons at Lupus and Silver. "Sirs, put down the crates and come with us immediately, or we will use force. We will not ask twice."

"Alright but you told us to put them down" silverbullet shrugged and dropped the crates on their heads. "Quick let's go before they get up," he said as he turned and ran Lupus hopefully following him without hesitation. He moved quickly and non stop his cloak flow behind him

An announcement over the intercom broke him of his deep thoughts and he decided to try and leave town before any unwanted trouble caught up with him. Thankfully, a couple of gate guards had noticed his prior arrival and deduced his innocence. Whether anypony was there or not he would leave just as some others were in the midst of a waylay by SBA guards attempting to leave town. Upon crossing the threshold of the barrier, an unspoken sigh of relief went through him as he took one last look behind him. Despite the chaos of the wasteland, it felt relatively safe. Truthfully, he wasn't sure IF Kronos made it, but the bar at the other end of the Everglades definitely seemed a welcome change of pace for once. Either way, he wanted to meet a friend regardless, been too long he surmised. Confident his tracks had been covered and Kronos on his tail like they planned he left. They were signs of course if one knew where to look. A random carving a husks of once thriving trees, Chalk marks on old rusted vehicles. These all pointed to the directions of various locals including the supposed hidden pre-war base of the Gator Tooth although, he himself only knew a few spots since the entire system itself was a convoluted mess. Random marks dotted the same trees, not to mention look outs posted at various hidden lookout points reported traffic of most ground-based movement. Even Sylvester squirmed at going against the either faction. He made sure to be as neutral as possible for this very reason. It ensured he had friends on both sides that could help him out of a jam. It wouldn't be too much longer, he only hoped Kronos made it out safely.

Dropping crates on their heads was not the most efficient tactic, and not all of them were knocked out. The soldiers that were still conscious called for backup and began firing at Silver and Lupus. The South Beach Army was already in full force looking for the Alicorn Amulet, but now they knew where to look.

"Alright but you told us to put them down" silverbullet shrugged and dropped the crates on their heads. "Quick let's go before they get up," he said as he turned and ran Lupus hopefully following him without hesitation. He moved quickly and non stop his cloak flow behind him

Lupus ran after Ghost at top speed, not daring to slow down, his heart pounding from the exertion.

 

'Man, they must really want this amulet. I've got to get far away from here, as fast as possible. Mabye the amulet could help with that? No! I can't use it yet, not until I really need it.' Lupus thought.
