Autumn Breeze woke with a start. Where am I? And why does my head hurt so much? When he opened his eyes, he didn't recognize anything. All around him were stone walls. The floor was covered in a low mist creeping along the ground. The room had a strong damp, earthy smell. As he stood up to stretch, he saw that there were other ponies laying on the ground, just like he was.

midnight awoke, looking around him, "what the?" he frowned, the first thing he noticed was stone walls all around him, the next thing, was a pony already awake, then other ponies on the ground like him.

taking a deep breath he go to his hooves and streached, spreading his wings, then looking around, there were torches at intermittint points along the wall, barely lighting the area, but that was about it, looking up he could barely make out what he thought was the ceiling.

Darts turned down another gloomy tunnel, trying to find his way out of the creepy maze. He had no idea how he had gotten here or where 'here' even was, but he was sure he didn't like it at all. The air was stuffy and the only light source was the occasional torch. There wasn't enough room to fly, and his wings were starting to cramp from their lack of use. Just when he was about turn around and try a different tunnel he noticed that the one he was in opened into a large cavern, with torches sparsely lining the walls.it was the same cavern he had woken up in Celestia knows how long ago, only now there were bodies of other ponies littering the floor as well.

Jacob had been awake for a few minutes. He was wiping the dust from his specs. "Can't see," he mumbled. Satisfied with his cleaning, he placed them over his eyes. He saw stone carved walls in all directions. A few torches lined the stone walls. "Interesting," he said. He had assumed that he was expected to walk in the direction he woke up in. Somepony put me here. He thought. This is a game. Whoever did this is clearly in need of a little... help. Perhaps I could show him that there isn't much to living. Perhaps I can turn this into my game.

He turned and walked n the opposite direction.

The Doctor trotted randomly inside the corridors. It was one thing to make the TARDIS appear in the middle of a place it didn't recognise, but force it to dematerialise too?

The puppeteer behind all this was obviously very powerful.

And skilled.

Why else would it want for the Doctor to join the game?

He obviously had plans for him, and the Doctor could only expect more ponies that had been kidnapped to have been force to join the game.

He entered a large room, sleeping ponies of various forms lying asleep, few of them awake.

 

'exactly', he thought to himself.

 

He approached a yellow Pegasus who was slowly waking up in the corner.

"Hello!"

Autumn saw a strange brown colt with an hourglass enter the room from one of the corridors and approach a yellow pegasus who was waking up. Where did he come from? Has he been awake for a while and was looking around, or did he not come here with the rest of us? Who is this pony? Suddenly, Autumn had the feeling he was being watched. When he turned around, he didn't see anypony. "Good morning, everypony. That is, if it is morning."

(I decided to change Nidal to Garth, by the way. )

 

Garth struggled to return to sleep in his hardened bed. The sound of ponies and the flickering sunlight coming through his window were bothering him as he kept trying to return to sleep. *Wait... flicking sunlight? The sun doesn't work...* His eyes shot open to see the stone floor he had thought was his bed. His eyes darted to the sides, catching the details around him while his ears perked up and heard someone speak clearly. He lifted himself up slightly with a flap of his wings and got his claws and paws under him, keeping himself up. He looked at the pony who had just spoken and coughed once, trying to get his attention. "Everybody. This world is inhabited by more than just you ponies. And it's hardly a good one, at this point. Where the hell am I?"

"Sorry. Force of habit. I wish I knew where we are. I've never seen anyplace like this before. Where ever this maze is, it's ancient. My guess is some sort of underground ruins or a cavern of some sort." Autumn bowed to the gryphon. "I'm sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Autumn Breeze."

The Doctor quickly turned to the griffon.

"oh, brilliant!"

He popped behind him, inspecting his claws.

"a griffon! I never really had a chance to look at one up close, since the whole ' queen' incident."

He moved on, now inspecting the wing.

"as for the species part, you're absolutely right. I, for one, am an alien, but that's not important."

He dropped the wing, making the griffon lose balance.

" now, for our current task."

He trotted around the room, inspecting the stone walls and ceiling, pointing a flashy stick at them.

"hmm hmm... Just as I suspected."

(Sorry, Doc, but that's a bit of power-playing. You expect my character to let you inspect his claws and wings... and then that he relies on his wings to keep himself up. Which neither is true.)

 

Before the doctor arrived, Garth nodded towards Breeze. "Just call me Garth." When the doctor began to look at his claws, Garth shoved him back with the other one. He kept the doctor away from him through his claws and wings, if he tried to return. "And you really won't have a chance to here. I like my personal space, thank you very much."

midnight shook his head he had no idea where he was or where anypony dissappeared off too, streaching his back he started walking down the lit part of the hallway, as it broke off to his left and right into more corridors.

"great, a maze...." he gumbled before taking the left path.

"Wait a second. What do you mean you're an alien? And how is that not important? Where are we? Did you have anything to do with this?"

Either he's crazy, or he's probably connected to this somehow.

Jacob stopped when the cave began to glitter and sparkle. Jewels. He thought of all of the beautiful jewelry that his mother couldn't afford because of his father's drinking habits. He hated the thought. His only other option was to turn back the way he came. 'Wait a second. What do you mean you're an alien? And how is that not important? Where are we? Did you have anything to do with this?' A distant voice sounded. It could have come from anywhere. Jacob started bucking the wall.

"A.yes, I am an alien, B. its not important because C. This isn't just a labyrinth. It's a game."

"Who's game? and why us? I'm sorry, I guess I'm a little freaked out about all of this. My name is Autumn Breeze." Once again he felt like there was someone behind him watching him. This can't be just nerves. He looked around, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Just mist, wall, and a tall pony in a business suit.

 

Wait a second. Was he always here? He looked again, and sure enough, there was a very tall, thin pony with a suit and a red necktie. But the longer he looked, the more something seemed wrong about him. He wasn't wearing a suit. It was just the color of his fur. Ha had a very strange cutie mark, just a circle with an X going through it, that looked like someone had taken a pencil and scribbled it on his flank. Then he realized what was so wrong about the pony. He had no face.

The Doctor turned to look at the newcomer.

"Oh, hello!"

He walked up to the pony, looking directly at where his eyes should be.

"Is it safe to assume your our host? Gotta hand it to ya, not many ponies have the technical expertise to control the TARDIS from the outside... Or the necessary control over the laws of physics..."

He frowned, thinking at what he just said.

"Soooo... Who are you? And what is this game?"

Jacob bucked the wall harder. He felt compelled to do it for some reason. His hoofs started to bleed.

Darts walked up to the to the tall, stoic pony. "Who do you think you are? Trapping us in here. Tell us the way out and I won't have to hurt you. Believe me blind-boy, I've taken on things a whole lot stronger than you and won, do you even have any muscle on those legs of yours?" Darts taunted, flying up to look the strange pony in the face.

The strange pony began to slowly move. Black tentacles grew from his back. In one of them was a letter. He laid it at The Doctor's feet, then backed away and bowed his head.

 

The letter said,

"Welcome, my guests. I assure you that I mean you no harm. Please do not panic. I have no name, yet I have been called many things over the eons. The Tall One, The Slender Colt, Slendermane, Der Grobmann, The Operator. You may call me what you wish. I have brought you all here for a purpose. I would like to play a game with you. You are all broken, and I would like to help fix you. The game shall begin when all of the players have assembled. Do you have any questions?"

 

The Slender Pony looked at a wall to his right. Suddenly, the wall disappeared, revealing an Earth Pony in a lab coat, who appeared to have been beating on the wall for a while.

Garth went over to the doctor and read the letter quickly, just the start, to know that this was truly the person who brought them here. "You know, I could play your game..." He took a few steps away from the doctor, looked at the creature, said, "Or I could not." He spread his wings and jumped at him, intending to punch that faceless face of his, for he did not like being taken away one bit.

midnight frowned, "HELLO?!?" he frowned, turning around to head back to find the unconsious ponies, "umm, where is everypony?"

"did i take a wrong turn?"

he sat down thinking too himself, "okay okay, calm down, lets just think for a moment."

Suddenly, both Garth and Slendermane disappeared. They reappeared on the other side of the chamber, with Garth coughing up blood. Slendermane looked startled, backing away from Garth as much as he could. He looked ashamed at what he had done. A letter was dropped on the ground, and Slendermane vanished again.

 

The letter said, "I'm sorry. I truly mean no harm. But I am not like you. I must not touch you. I don't want to hurt anyone. Please, can anyone help Garth?"

Garth was on the floor, pretty much. His front right 'arm' was bent in front of him, every from the elbow down against the ground, keeping himself up. His beak was bloodied and was dripping some on the ground. His wings were unfolded, yet resting on the ground. He took one look at the note before his arm gave up and he fell down completely. He tried to speak, but that just made him cough some.

 

(Pretty much taking it to be severe pain, even thought none of it is shown by any bruises or such. For some reason, it seems to me more like something like rearranging organs. *Shrug* Tell me if this wouldn't be what would happen, since I don't know.)

(It's really not that bad. Pretty much just severe pain and blood. Nothing life threatening. But that's what happens when you try to punch a manifestation of an eldritch multidimentional being. Also, I used this as a reference.

Start at 4:00.
