Love the LeafyIsHere reference. Congratulations, you're the next Russel Howard XD

That wasn't a Leafy reference; it was a reference to the truth about our government. Have you not read up on the truth that is conspiracy theories?

I think Chrysalis is ready to be reformed and the good changeling in the Spike episode can be the sign of how it begins.

Interesting theory. Makes sense.

Lottsa people would disagree, but I think Chrysalis is one viable for redemption. The thing is, I don't think she is the horrible being we all have been shown. Considering she was trying to provide for her subjects or 'children', she had good intentions, but she did something, well, evil. I would love to see a non-evil side to her.

Yeah, I'm thinking she secretly feels guilty about her methods but won't admit it and can't find another way.

Fair enough. it's a little tiring, I guess. But, ya know, kids show, so... Well, they can't really kill them off.

Tell that to King Sombra.

No, but that doesn't mean that they won't be reformed if the writers want them to.

If Starlight can be reformed after almost destroying the time space continuum and brainwashing others in her reeducation camp and enslaving them into her cult, only because her best friend moved away and for no other reason, than anyone can and will be redeemed.

Starlight's redemption could've worked if they'd given her a different backstory and redeemed her gradually rather than doing it through a montage.

I think Chrysalis is only out for herself, but claims she's doing what she's doing for her subjects in order to rationalize her actions.

As far as major villains go, keep them all away from the redemption hammer.

Keep that shit for secondary antagonists. Like for example Lightning Dust wants to change her ways because having her current behavior wasn't worth screwing up her chances of being a WB. Just pick someone who'd be more believable

I support this.

Tell that to King Sombra.

They never really said he was "dead".

I wouldn't necessarily be against the reformation of Chrysalis. Her character is admittedly a little flat, rather than well-rounded, so it certainly wouldn't hurt to reform her. She wasn't necessarily "pure evil." After all, her actions were motivated by the need to provide for her species. I can't see Tirek or King Sombra being reformed, though. They are the only "pure evil" villains so there is really no hope for them. They aren't like Starlight Glimmer, whose past was haunting her, or Trixie, whose jealousy was the only thing that really kept her from being fully reformed before the end of No Second Prances.

I think Chrysalis is ready to be reformed and the good changeling in the Spike episode can be the sign of how it begins.

This. Then, use that episode to start a story arc that will end with the season finale.

Say what you like about the canonicity of the comics, but he does have a story arc that takes place sometime after the return of the Crystal Empire.

It's pretty obvious he's dead.

Yeah, but this is My Little Pony logic. Characters often survive ridiculous things that would probably kill them if they actually happened. Plus King Sombra could just be locked away under the Crystal Empire for all we know.

I don't read the comics so I don't really have any input on that, but I don't think the canon of the comics really concern the show. I'd read them if I had the money, but importing is expensive and I don't wanna get caught as a brony by my family XD Kind of a half baked answer but yeah.

Even by the standards of MLP logic, I don't think it's likely King Sombra survived being vaporized.
